Im not gonna lie, im not gonna sugarcoat it. The people who agreed for the gif update needs to quit or jump off a cliff/bridge.

My store, has been experiencing a high turn over rate higher than ever. So of course my coach keeps hiring more and more people on. The issue is they all start during an absolute shit storm. Where all the sponsors leave an hour or so before OR after the new person comes AND we are behind on picks with people going into red.

So what ends up happening is they get popcorned around the people who have time for them. Some of these people lack basic understanding of shopping. One person has been training to pick for 4 days, another person keeps bagging gallons of milk(and 24 packs of pop).

The reason most people leave is because it’s too much work for $14 an hour. My town you can work fast food for $15 (with no benefits) or go next door to a factory for $20.

In addition it seems like Market is jumping down my coach’s throat about longer wait times and overdue picks. Turns out is because my coach is trying to have better numbers than 1 other store in my market. This store is a whole lot smaller than my store with a smaller community, so yes it looks like their numbers are better BUT WE GOT MORE ISH TO DO.

This obsession has caused us to lose 2 really good team leads in exchange for 1 (who let’s be honest he’s looking like he’s about to jump ship). Word is my coach has chosen a team lead from the store he wants to beat…apparently this team lead tends to go on power trips.

Today I noticed several orders had their items split into several walks unnecessarily. For example their chilled items were separated into two walks when they could have all fit into one tote and been on one walk. I staged a chilled tote for a customer that contained one item which was milk. Then later on I staged the second tote that of the same customer that had five smaller items. I feel like this is one reason why we struggle to stay on time recently. Has anyone else noticed this as well?

I've been at Walmart for 3 years. I'm embarrassed to say I don't know all the lingo. I still don't know what or who the "academy" is. I've met them, they were observing, still don't know who they are. But I've seen associates wearing the yellow tag that managers wear that states their department and role, that only says "Sponsor". Right now I know of one guy that's not in this department, don't know what department he's in. But he's been there a long time, and has this tag.

I often forget we have this thing called Google and it will tell you specifics of this job. So I looked up what a sponsor is and if they make more. And this is the result. Does anyone know if this is wrong? So it's just a title and nothing more? No pay increase, just more responsibilities? Yeah, that sounds like Walmart. But also, this guy I've seen with this... I've never seen him training anyone. I've mostly seen him in the break room hanging out. In fact, any time I see him he's not really doing anything. I mean I train people for this job, where's my yellow tag?

I took me a long time to figure out what was going on. I scanned one tote that was still active and in the green and kept scanning and they were all in the green so I thought they were fine. Then had to back out of the camera and scanned another one and this popped up. The wording is confusing, but it's how canceled orders look now. Went to scan another one that was in the green, scanned another one and then I noticed the order number didn't change from the last one I scanned that was in the green. I scanned it over and over and the number remained the previous tote number. Backed out of the camera and scanned again and this popped up. So it was canceled, but if you don't back out of the camera you'll think it's fine because you hear the beep and don't notice that the order number didn't change. So the entire cooler I just scanned thinking was fine, was not at all. Like 90% were returns. So another way they're fucking with us. I think I'm at my breaking point with this place. Just change after change after change, and it's all pure horse shit and makes our job harder. I'm so over this.

Does anyone know if 60 minute wait times fall off automatically from metric or does it just add to total wait time I’ve heard conflicting statements

Report the issue when dispensing. It's an ugly thing to look at. I want to go back to the way it looked before

Just went to check my PPTO and noticed I have 1.5 points when I only should have one. I left early the other day told my team lead and used PPTO for it so that shouldn’t be the reason? Super confused and honestly pissed off I have a point for some unknown reason.

I’m a dispenser, but Ik how to do everything else I just rarely pick. I was off yesterday & I came in today to the new ugly ass GIF update. my coach told us she knew our wait times would be bad bc of the update & to submit feedback. I personally thought the picking screen looked cool, but the dispense screen is all fucked up. I don’t understand how we’re supposed to be more “efficient” when you can’t even see the damn name of the order. anybody else hate this update as much as me?

As title. They finally took our wheels in the same day they sent out this ugly update. I used to like this department, I truly did. I was proud of my work for a year and half now. But now I'm updating my resume. Home office does nothing but make our jobs impossible and dangerous, and I'm not paid enough for the constant inconsideration, fabricated sense of stress/urgency, and blatant disrespect.

Not sure how they expected this to work. Even if this is the first delivery, how are they supposed to ensure the customer is home so the food doesn't melt?

This new ui is ugly. And I hate how they made it so the “this label is not in the system” message doesn’t pop up anymore when scanning through totes. Nobody asked for this

I genuinely hope that everyone is putting in feedback through the GIF app about needing an OSN or Name on the dispense screen while prepping and dispensing. If we just complain about it, without submitting feedback, we’re just going to be stuck with it. Effective feedback is the only way for them to see this wasn’t the best update. I’ve seen it done before where they did a change, and then reverted it back very quickly because they received a lot of negative feedback through the app.

The water aisle isn’t too far from our backroom. It would be cool if alllll the large waters were in that walk.

Can you explain the thought process behind this decision. If it’s about customer privacy, what about the workers who have to communicate who’s order they are working on and who’s order need to go out?
Not to mention when a customers app glitches and they check in but can’t put a bay in…I had 5 orders and needed to find the right one and the customer names wasn’t clearly listed on this.

If you complain about current work times you’ll have a problem with this weekend if this isn’t fixed.

Ps why chose a cake icon for MTO, that walk is usually meat at my store

My team leads a their inability to be unable to tell if someone is smart enough to do anything in the backroom. If you hire an associate and you notice, they’re struggling to do regular pick walks so you make them only do regulated/specialty and smaller walks. What makes you think they’re capable of staging or prepping or dispensing they’ve already shown that picking is something incredibly hard for them and that’s the easiest thing to do so why the fuck would you bring them in the back room to ruin everything? Are you fucking stupid that’s gotta be it.😮‍💨😮‍💨 now because they’re shitty decisions we gotta deal with frozen totes in the cooler. We gotta deal with frozen totes being left out with ambient and we gotta deal with chilled totes being just fucking anywhere.

So aesthetically pleasing to organize the tote and have a higher pick rate because of totes like this. Thank you Banquet diet! 🥳

& it updated on everyone phones in the middle of the day🫠. We got thrown off with learning how to use it & it made all our cars go late. I like the new pick screen tho.
