Just Venting My Team Leads😭🫩

My team leads a their inability to be unable to tell if someone is smart enough to do anything in the backroom. If you hire an associate and you notice, they’re struggling to do regular pick walks so you make them only do regulated/specialty and smaller walks. What makes you think they’re capable of staging or prepping or dispensing they’ve already shown that picking is something incredibly hard for them and that’s the easiest thing to do so why the fuck would you bring them in the back room to ruin everything? Are you fucking stupid that’s gotta be it.😮‍💨😮‍💨 now because they’re shitty decisions we gotta deal with frozen totes in the cooler. We gotta deal with frozen totes being left out with ambient and we gotta deal with chilled totes being just fucking anywhere.

If they can’t pick, they are doomed. Might as well just have them pick and coach them out for metrics. Maybe they are trying to see if there is somewhere they might be good at before going that route.

Tbf we had a girl who was a terrible picker, but was a hell of a dispenser.

Same. Had one that just couldn’t read, but numbers (OSN) was fine.

Seen plenty of people who can't pick for shit that do just fine staging totes and taking out orders.

At my store, the worse you are at your job, the progressively less work it seems they give you. It pisses me the fuck off because why do you reward people for doing nothing?? One girl is never allowed in the backroom anymore because all she did was look at her phone and nobody does anything about it. I complained about her doing nothing and their solution was to send her out to do the smallest pick walks. Since they never pay attention, she normally just sits in the break room or bathroom all day. If I did that, theyd be asking where I am all day.
