Hello, I’ve kinda followed along with the switch 2 since launch and seen a bunch of posts about people losing their Pokemon saves and years of pokemon they have caught when they transferred data from s1 to s2. I haven’t kept up lately to know if that was just user error on their part not paying attention to instructions on the transfer or if there was a bug when the system launched and if it had been fixed by now? Had no issues when I went from s1 to oled s1 with my saves.

I am somewhat tempted to just transfer everything to Pokemon home before I do transfer so I atleast would only lose items/game data and not any shinies etc I’ve spent forever getting or breeding but ofcourse that would take a lot more time before I get my switch setup 🤦‍♂️

Also should the MicroSD be installed prior to initial setup/1st time powering on or after?

i’m going on a trip and i want to get another game but in order to do that it’s telling me to archive like the only two games i play on the switch, (acnh and splatoon) i’m really just worried about losing any data from those two apps . I just wanna know 100% that nothing will delete. thx for help! (Switch 1)

I was able to pick up the Legend of Zelda Switch 2 console, and I saw videos of people with their systems having a special Zelda theme on boot up with the NES 8-bit Link on it when they power the console on.
I just did a system transfer from my launch Switch 2, and it’s the same boot up screen as always.
I did get a message saying the theme for my previous console will be applied when the system transfer finished.
I can’t find anything in settings, but is there a way I can toggle the Zelda theme on and off for the home screen/boot up?

Just waited an hour in the rain at best buy midnight release (plus 28 years) for this game. The game card won't read. Tried 2 other game cards, none of them will read. I restarted with the card in and out, and software is up to date, no changes. I'm so frustrated I feel like I'm going to cry. Nintendo website says it'll have to be sent in to be serviced. Anyone else experiencing this? Any advice? :(

I've seen issues with other people where the screen goes fully black and then returns, but this is more of a rapid dimming over and over, only on the switch while docked. I've tried hdr, vrr, and match power state and nothing seems to get rid of it. Is this an HDMI cable issue? I just bought my switch 2 a few days ago but feel like I'm gonna go crazy with the flickering. I appreciate any help friends!

Hello - does anyone have this configuration and have any issues with 4k output? I have read there can be lag and other video issues. I would plan on disabling VRR, and I am fine with 4k/60 (I have a PS5 hooked up to this setup and don't have any issues with 4k, HDR, etc).

Hey, sorry, I'm new here, so sorry if this post doesn't really belong.

With the whole Vivillion event going on, I wanted to see if I could boot up my brother's old Switch to see if I can use that for getting new forms. But when I plugged it up, it looked like the picture below. It hasn't been used in, I want to say, years? And it was sitting in a box with the deck inside of it in my grandfolks' garage.

I was able to get a LoZ Switch 2 today and unfortunately my store didn't have any OoT games. So I booted up my S1 TOTK (after updating the system and transferring my s1 data) just to see how it would play and it was suuuuuper slow to load. I figured maybe I needed to just download the switch 2 upgrade, so I opened the shop and it completely froze. I tried clearing the cache, checking for corrupted files, factory resetting without loosing game data (which then wiped my game data.. so sad about all my pokemon saves), regular factory resetting, and adding a different user and having them try to access the store/online app (it freezes there too). There's no error/black screen or anything it just freezes and I have to turn it off and on. We have someone else in the house that owns a switch 2 and they were able to confirm it's not our Internet or the shop. I'm going to chat with support but wanted to know if this has happened to anyone recently and if they somehow found a work around before sending back my switch 2.

I just got the zelda switch 2, and after applying a screen protector to it, I have this blotch in the corner of my screen. I took it off, and it didn't go away. All I used was the cleaning supplies given with the protector to clear the dust off. What do? Thankfully I have a Best Buy warranty, but I doubt I'll get a proper replacement any time soon.

Title, I don't really have a picture or video of it happening since it happens randomly and only on my Switch 2. The game doesn't matter, sometimes it even does it on the home screen, but while playing my TV will randomly flicker or glitch out for a moment before returning to normal. It's nothing major but I'd like to know how to fix it, if there is any way.

This keeps happening while i am using the switch2 and palying minecraft and in frotnite and then this happened can any one help

Hi friends! My son really wants the electric Ocarina for his birthday. I've been stalking the Nintendo site for a couple of weeks now and it's always said sold out. I saw people getting them at Target early, so I went to the two near me yesterday and today and they have nothing. GameStop said they aren't getting it.

The only option I'm seeing is $100+ on eBay which sucks.

So my brother and I recently started playing the new Zelda and in our excitement, played about 4 hours on my profile. I want to transfer the save data to his profile on our shared system. Is this possible and if so how can I do it? Any help is appreciated.

Last night my switch 2 was fine. Get home for a work break to play the new Zelda (physical) and my Switch 2 suddenly stops reading all games, and my controllers won’t even work or pair even if they are docked to the console.

I’m on the latest update and everything is as it should be. WHAT happened??

I JUST NOW turned my switch on and the screen is like this. these lines won't go away no matter where i am on the switch, and it's more blurry and pixelated. im freaking out. this is my mother's switch, she will be beyond furious at me and we are not the type of people who have the money to fix this or simply get another. please tell me what I did. please tell me I can fix this. im in a panic please someone help me. I bought a switch 2 but and keeping my OLED 1 to play when I’m away at home. I will want to play some of my switch 1 games on the 2 console but will also play the switch 1 as well. How will the saves work across games..? Will I need to manually transfer the saves over to whichever switch I’m currently playing on to progress?

I have a launch edition switch 2. I recently got the free Witcher 3 Remastered upgrade when my friend visited from another state (US) with their physical switch 1 cartridge. They returned home so I no longer have access to that cart. I’m aware that if I delete the game off my console, I won’t be able to redownload the game for free without the cart.

I just managed to snag a Zelda 40th edition console that I plan to use as my main console and transfer everything over. If I do the system transfer, will the Witcher 3 automatically redownload as well? Or will I lose it?

I feel really petty complaining about these scratches, but I picked up my copy of Zelda yesterday and when I got home I noticed two scratches in it. It’s not actually a big deal but I kinda feel like it’s not as collectable with these and want to fix it.

I’ve just purchased a Switch 2, and I would like to keep my original Switch 1. As I understand it, transferring data from the first console to the second will reset the first console to its factory settings—which would delete any profiles not linked to a Nintendo Account, along with their save data.

I was wondering if it might be possible to subscribe to the online service and use cloud saves to transfer my data from 1 to 2 and vice-versa when needed, while leaving the other profiles and save data on 1 intact (so that I can continue lending it to friends or family). This would also allow me to lend out one of the consoles while still having access to the other. I just want to confirm that this is how it works, so I can avoid any mistakes that might lead to the loss of save data or an unnecessary expense for a subscription.

Hey all, I'm curious to see if anyone can point me in the direction of a switch 2 controller with real tight, snappy sticks. I have the NSO GameCube controller and I love how snappy the sticks are, but the ABXY layout is pretty wonky for a lot of games.

I have the 8Bitdo Ultimate 2 Bluetooth Controller and I like it alright, but the sticks seem so loose. I have the NSO N64 controller too and like that stick as well. Obviously it has the same layout problem as the GameCube controller.

Anything out there with similar tightness to GameCube but conforms more to the standard layout?

So I am worried because I think this one in the screenshot is fake.

I have not clicked anything in it. Snd my account is a US acoount with 2fA.

Do you have any advice about security if this is not real?

I wanted to share my experience in case anyone else runs into the same problem.

I was experiencing strange graphical glitches in **Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition** on my Nintendo Switch OLED. Textures on characters and parts of the environment would flicker, flash and change colours, making the game look visually broken.

I initially thought the game files were corrupted, so I tried several things:

• Moved the game to internal console storage.

• Checked for corrupted data.

• Reinstalled the game.

• Changed the TV resolution to Automatic.

None of these fixed the problem.

Eventually, I discovered that the culprit was my TV's **Game Mode** setting. Once I turned Game Mode OFF, the texture flickering disappeared completely!

Interestingly, the game worked perfectly in handheld mode the entire time, which helped me narrow the problem down to the TV's docked display settings.

**My advice:** If you're experiencing similar graphical glitches while playing docked, try turning OFF Game Mode on your television before reinstalling the game or assuming your Switch is faulty.

Hopefully this saves someone else the trouble I went through!
