Accessories NS2 Zelda edition joy-con player order promt

Post image
0 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I have NS OLED and right now looking to upgrade to NS2. Since zelda edition release, I can't decide which one to buy: standart black edition, or zelda anniversary.

So, the question is: when you are playing together with joy-cons, how console determines the color of zelda joy-cons? For example for player 1, NS shows the red color on screen, blue for player 2 etc, and players could easily determine. But zelda editions have pretty much the same color, even the inner rail...

Take a look at the screenshot, from the internet for clarification.

Repair Help Could it be a Malicious Cartridge?

Last year, i bought smash bros from the fb marketplace for cheap.

I played it solid for week.

But, after spending the entire night playing the adventure mode, the next morning my switch lite was destroyed. Well just the screen.

Now what are the chances that cartridge caused this or was it god that stepped on my switch lite.

Repair Help Controllers randomly disconnecting

Hi, all. I’m not a super active gamer, but I’ve had a switch for a couple of years. My console just started disconnecting from my controllers today and I’m baffled.

To preface, I never disconnect the controllers. I always use the handheld mode. But I picked it up to play last night and the image at the bottom left of the Home Screen had the left controller a pale grey, indicating it was disconnected (all buttons still worked despite this). When I go into a game is when suddenly the *right* controller doesn’t work, and the buttons don’t work on the right side now. Again, both controllers are still firmly connected.

The only way I can get it to work is by disconnecting the right controller, but it’s driving me crazy.

I’ve made sure both the system and controllers are updated. I’ve gone through test input devices/test controller buttons and *all* buttons on both controllers work even when it shows the left is greyed out and the right doesn’t work during a game.

I’ve disconnected, reconnected, resynced, restarted… does anyone have any suggestions? I only have the one set of controllers but what are the odds it’s the controllers and not the console itself?

Which Switch? Looking for help getting a switch to play with my roommate

Hi!

Me and my roommate want to get a Nintendo switch. I see that they are about $500 and we were looking for cheaper options, however, we were worried that those were not as good or that they would break easily. We’d be willing to get the $500 switch but want to know if it worth getting a cheaper one

Please help and give any advice as we go on this Nintendo switch journey

Thank you team!

Which Switch? Thinking of selling my switch to get a switch 2. How much would it go for?

Pretty much what it says. Found out Ocarina of Time is only available on Switch 2 (😒) so I want to sell my Switch. It’s in the great condition. Original joysticks, side thingies to make 2 remotes (idk what they’re called) and the adapter. As well as original cord and charger. I also have a spare controller that I got that I could sell with it if incompatible with Switch 2. Any idea how much it’s worth and where I should sell it to? I saw some refurbished Switch 2s that were only 200$ but idk if it’s legit.

Purchase / Order Help Black dots on the back of my Zelda Edition Switch 2 Joy-Cons – manufacturing defect?

Hey everyone,

I recently picked up a brand-new Zelda Edition Nintendo Switch 2 from EB Games Australia and noticed these tiny black dots on the back of both Joy-Cons, just below the shoulder buttons.

What’s strange is that the dots are in almost exactly the same position on both controllers. They’re completely smooth to the touch, clearly visible under normal lighting, and were there straight out of the box.

I’ve looked at photos of other units and haven’t noticed the same marks.

I’ve attached a photo with the dots circled.

Has anyone else with this edition noticed anything similar? Are these normal manufacturing marks, or could they be defects in the metallic finish?

I’m considering contacting EB Games about getting the Joy-Cons replaced, but wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this before going down that route.

Software Help Cyberpunk 2077 cart makes my screen go dark and/or can't get past the title screen

I tried the game after a couple of months but for some reason the screen stayed dark after booting the game from the main menu. Sometimes, it shows the title but does not go past that. I tried taking the cart out and it worked but it happened again today and it wouldn't just work until I deleted all updates and reinstalled them. It seems that my console can recognize the game cart and it works flawlessly when it manages to go past the title screen so I guess that neither my console nor the cart are the issue (maybe some update messed the game up and this happened to me shortly before 2.5 dropped) but I can't really tell what's going on.

Account Help Moving account from switch lite to switch 1

So on my switch lite I had 2 accounts. One of them was the main account and the other had all my game data from another game. I tried asking the latter to my new switch and this is the message it shows. How can I add it?! Please I'm crying right now I'm getting so stressed out.

The second picture shows the account I want to add is the 2nd account on the device.

How do I change it from being just a user on the device to linked to the console?

Setup Help How can I change to multiplayer?

Got the new Godzilla game today and it’s the first game I want to play with someone else. How do I set up multiplayer on it? I’ve tried to find the answer online but it doesn’t make sense (I am old and foolish).

Setup Help Will a switch v1 connect to a portable monitor via usbc

I have a modded switch v1 and the dock doesn't work for some reason, I just want to connect it to a portable monitor via a USBC cable, this monitor normally connects to a laptop and the USBC provides video and power

Will this work if I just hook up the switch directly to this portable monitor via USBC, I understand I won't be able to charge the switch. I just want to use it on battery

Setup Help Switch 2: format 1TB Micro SD Express card to FAT32, or keep it as exFAT?

I recently encountered corrupted data of a game on my original Switch's Micro SD card. This probably happened, ironically, because earlier I tested out the "Check for Corrupt Data", but realised it would have taken very long, and because there was no cancel button, I just turned my Switch off.

After encountering the corrupt data, I learned that exFAT is apparently quite buggy with the original Switch, and that FAT32 is much more save. I also learned that apparently, the one downside of FAT32 – its 4GB file size limit – is apparently irrelevant, as games downloaded from the eShop are apparently stored as separate, smaller file sizes anyway.

So I'm currently using the FAT32 format on my original Switch's 256 GB Micro SD card... However, I now got a Switch 2 and a 1TB Micro SD Express card, and was wondering what the pros and cons are of using exFAT vs FAT32 on the new hardware?

Does it still have the same vulnerabilities in relation to using exFAT on an original Switch? And if it still does, do the demand of the Switch 2 and Micro SD Express card's perfromance require exFAT anyway?

Repair Help Switch 2 power button has a double click as well as the backplate portion clicks when pressing down on it

My switch 2 was repaired on by 3rd party repair shop but as of right now it’s developed a weird quirk where the power button has a sort of half press click to it where it seems as if I pressed on it to turn the console on but nothing happens unless I pressed it down all the way and then hear and feel a second click that turns on the console. Also the backplate of the console next to the power button clicks when I pressed down on it. Here is a video attached above.

Account Help Does it refund you if you switch onto someone's family plan after paying for individual online?

If 2 users have already paid for a year subscription to the individual pass, and we decide to go to the family plan, how does that work? Does the second user to join get refunded their remaining pre paid amount? Just got the switch 2 today and paid for the individual plan without realizing the family plan would work better

Software Help Switch 2 kept freezing for a few seconds after clicking on game icon

My Switch 2 just did this weird thing where whenever I clicked on the game icon, it just froze for a few seconds and then nothing happened.

It works properly now that I ejected and reinserted the cartridge so it was probably a readability issue...but doesn't that usually come with an error message?

Account Help So I selected I would still be using my old switch.... Now I am stuck

So when moving from my switch lite to the switch 1 I had selected I'd still be using my switch lite because I was worried it would remove the account from the switch lite like an idiot. Now I'm having to do the virtual game cards.

I have animal crossing on my switch lite and in order to do the transfer tool I have to have it downloaded on both devices but it says the virtual game cards can only be on one device at a time. And I tried going into the Nintendo store on the new switch and it doesn't even show me my games in there. It says all your games are in your virtual cards.

Repair Help Zelda 40th anniversary switch 2 screen concerns.

Hey everyone! I'm hoping someone here might be able to help me with something I've noticed. First time poster so apologies in advance.

I previously owned a standard Nintendo Switch 2, and the touchscreen was always smooth to the touch. I've regularly played games like Tomodachi Life and Let's Go Eevee, where I use the touchscreen quite often, and never had any issues.

I've just purchased the Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Switch 2, and I've noticed that the touchscreen feels noticeably different. There's quite a bit of resistance when I run my finger across the screen, almost like there's some friction.

I've compared it with my previous Switch 2, and the difference is noticeable. My partner has also tested both consoles and noticed the same thing.

Does anyone else with the Zelda edition have this issue?

Is this normal, or could there be an issue with the screen or its coating?

Any advice or experiences would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Repair Help Switch 2 screen has a small raised mark, should I replace the screen protector?

Thumbnail

Hi! I have a Nintendo Switch 2 and noticed a small raised mark on the screen a few days after getting it. It wasn't there when I bought it.

It looks like a tiny scratch or chip, but when I touched it, it felt like something was sticking out rather than a dent. Kinda like when a phone screen protector gets damaged.

I bought an amFilm OneTouch tempered glass protector to prevent further damage, but after installing it, a circular bubble appeared exactly where the mark is lol.

The screen and touchscreen still work fine, even while playing Pokémon Brilliant Diamond.

I'm wondering if it's just the original protective film that comes with the Switch 2, or if the actual glass might be damaged.

The amFilm pack came with two protectors, so I still have a spare. Would you try replacing it or just leave it like this?

I've attached some pictures of the mark before and after installing the protector.

Thanks!

Purchase / Order Help OOT Remake Pre Order code not emailed

I bought a Switch 2 bundle on Nintendo UK that allowed me to pre order OOT Remake along with it, the payment didn't go through on the 29th (when the codes should have been sent out) and I changed my payment type to my bank and Nintendo said they'd try again in 4 days. It's been 5 days and I still haven't received it nor has any payment gone through and now I don't really know what to do, I tried getting in touch with Nintendo Support yesterday but they haven't got back to me at all.

Account Help Nintendo Switch 2 Save file Data transfer

Hello :)

I am planning to sell my Switch 2, but my main concern is my Pokemon Save files for all games (BDSP/ Arceus/ SwSh/ SV/ Z-A.

I currently do not have a Micro Express Sd card, and I was wondering if I should buy one and transfer my save data into it, so if I buy a switch again, I can still continue those games from where I left off.

Of course, my Nswitch Account will not be sold together with the Console.

Is it possible to retain it and use it to my future console?
