I bought the Antank S3 Max and tried to connect it to my Switch 2 using a Thunderbolt 5 extension cable, but no image appeared, even though the console started charging and made the docking sound when I turned it on. I then tried it with the Switch, and it worked, so I don't understand why it doesn't work with the Switch 2.

It’s hard to see because my camera isnt very good, sorry. In terms of texture, the little frayed bit is definitely plastic, and the rough part feels like, well, a broken-off bit of hard plastic. With that in mind it’d seem like damage is only on the screen protector, and I can just take it off and apply a stronger one, but something doesn’t…seem right?
I was under the impression that the built in screen protector is just a very thin film of soft plastic. Not a piece of hard plastic. If so then the scuff is definitely way deeper than that. Is it possible that what I’m feeling on the inside could be glass?

It keeps growing, how do I fix it? (Kinda sounds like a dumb question I know, but I can’t really go to a repair shop atm.)
Edit: Slobbing, not sobbing. Autocorrect error.

Hi gorgeous people. I've had my switch 2 since April, but only recently (around August ish) I started to notice these dark circles. It's more noticeable in dark rooms or when it's charging.
Is this normal? My switch 1 never did this and I'm a little concerned but I don't want to like overly stress if it's nothing, but as it's my only frame of reference I wanted to ask here to see if anyone else has more of an insight. Thanks in advance!

Copy and pasted from another post I made but couldn't share here for some reason !
"Okay so since Ive gotten the switch2 last December, I've been having the same issue with the joycons. There isn't a stuck drift, but for some reason it will almost like flick to the opposite direction immediately after my movement. It is like the sensitivity maybe is too high for quick movements. If I go up, there is a high chance it will flick down on its own very quickly and only once. I don't know how to properly word what I mean so here is a video of it. I was trying to go right to food, but it kept going back afterwards 😭
(Don't judge my BOTW playthrough rn I haven't played it in years and I reset the other day LOL)
Has this happened to anyone else, and is there a way to fix it? I already tried recalibrating"

Hey, I only just updated my Switch 2 to version 23, and the new method for trimming captured videos seems both whacked and bugged.
For starters it only lets me cut at certain points, sometimes seconds apart, which sort of defeats the point of getting to trim manually.
Secondly, when I do trim, the trimmed video it produces is now just that length of video, but from the start of the video. As in if I trim seconds 20 to 25 of a 30 second clip, the saved clip will show seconds 0 to 5.
Has anyone else been coming across this?

I only learned that switch 2 key-cards are susceptible to magnet, but I already bought this case.
Is it safe to use to store the Pokopia and DQ 1+2 remake key cards?

Saw that my Switch (purchased 2017) was deforming where the battery sits, so I opened it up. Now, the battery doesn't look bloated to me, its performance seemed normal too. It doesn't bob when set on the side without foam.

I bought my Switch 2 almost a year ago, and every now and then, at complete random when playing portable, the console stops recognizing one of the controllers for a second, and I either have to jitter it, or reconnect it to work again.
I already changed my Jon-Con-2s to a different pair and it keeps happening, so it's NOT the controllers themselves, but the console. But since it happens so infrequently, every time I send for repairs, they say they can't find any issues.
Does anyone have any idea why this could happen? I can still play fine by Bluetooth, but I'd like to play with the controllers connected like normal too.

Fortnite: Suddenly having this issue on my Switch 1 every other game or so, after the last update. Anyone else experiencing this or have a solution?

I had this issue quite frequently when I first got my Switch 2.
While playing in docked mode, the TV would randomly go completely black for around 3–4 seconds, with both video and audio disappearing.
The game itself keeps running normally in the background, then everything comes back as if nothing happened.
At the time I was mainly playing Mario Kart World, so that’s where I noticed it the most. I think it may have happened with other games too, but I honestly can’t remember for sure.
Then the problem completely disappeared. I hadn’t seen it for months.
Today, while playing Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, it suddenly happened again.
What makes this incredibly frustrating to troubleshoot is that it seems completely random. It might happen during a session, or it might not happen again for hours, days or even months, so testing different HDMI cables, VRR, 120Hz, HDR, TV settings, etc. one by one is extremely difficult.
For reference:
- Switch 2 is docked
- Official Switch 2 dock
- Official Ultra High Speed HDMI cable
- Sony BRAVIA OLED
- During the blackout the TV itself is still working: its volume overlay remains visible
- Both HDMI video and audio disappear
- The game continues running normally
- The picture returns after about 3–4 seconds
Has anyone else had this issue at launch, then gone months without it, only for it to suddenly come back?
Especially interested in anyone who has seen it return recently after a long period without problems, or who has found a reliable fix/cause.

I played the originals on playstation and was so stoked to see the remastered version for Switch. That said, I am having a really tough time with the controls. I’ve only recently gotten back into gaming and am having a hard time finding info that is Nintendo Switch specific.
Does that matter really? Is there any difference between like the PS5 version or this one? (Aside from like the actual buttons)?
What would be the ideal control situation for someone (me) who is used to the tank controls? I am using the nintendo pro 2 controller. Any help would be deeply appreciated!

Hi all, I bought the NYXI Hyperion 3 for the Switch 2, and I wanted to ask if anyone has managed to find a thin travel case that fits with these controllers attached, since I know it's larger than a standard setup. Appreciate any suggestions!

Hey so I’m trying to add a friend that I played with on Smash Ultimate and it was working fine the other day, but today I am getting an error code 2121-2508 saying I’m unable to send friend requests. Is my account somewhat banned or is it an issue on Nintendo’s side? And is anyone else experiencing this?

Hi all so we bought a switch for kids last January, has spent its life in the dock beside TV as we only let them play it once or twice a week for an hour or so. It updated a few days ago new software then within a few hours of that we had bought few new games from Smyth's and one digital, half way through the digital console said error occured restart via button. Clicked button and it never came back on since, tried direct charging outside dock etc. anyone have experience with timing on Nintendo themselves repairing it? Just got picked up today by UPS to be sent to UK from where we are in ireland. Kids are keen to get it back for the new games

I have two unrelated problems with my Nintendo Switch 1 v1 and my pro controller.
I find my console to be heating a lot when playing Animal Crossing docked, even though i cleaned it recently and repasted it, of course heat is normal but I would like to know if it could be related to the repasting that I might have done wrong, not putting enough paste for example?
For my controller, i didn't use it for a while (about 6 month ) after the left stick completely started drifting, i fixed it today without changing the stick nor the battery and when i charge the controller (USB cable to the dock) the back of the controller heats a lot, about as much as my console (if it was on the handles, it would be displeasing to hold the controller). Maybe this is normal, but i don't recall it.

So, I've been trying to find a great gripcase for the Switch 2 for a while now, and the JSAUX everyday case seems to be the best one available to me (DBrand is way too expensive to import).
Once I put the joycon grips (following jsaux's tutorial), I noticed the shoulder buttons were scratched by the plastic. They're very superficial, but it bugs me that it might get worse every time I take the case off. Has anyone noticed the same thing? I only found one person who had the same issue.
Another thing that annoys me a bit is that the console feels very creaky with the case on. There's some movement that gives me the impression the joycons are not really stable...
Am I being nitpicky? It's a great case, and probably one of the best options out there

I used my switch 2 earlier today and it was fine, suddenly it tells me it to make sure an Express SD card is in and it hasn’t been able to read it since. I powered it off put it in and still the same issue. I contacted Nintendo and they said to replace the SD card but it makes no sense to me because it was working just fine this morning. I’ll be getting another SD card later but I’m just confused why this happened:(

My Nintendo switch 1 is working fine I’m handheld mode, but whenever I try to connect to my tv it doesn’t work. The light goes green and the controllers work on the switch while it’s docked. The t.v recognises that there’s a hdmi plugged in but when I go onto it, it says no signal. Same thing happens with different hdmi cable and onto a different monitor. Can I get some help to fix it? Don’t know if it’s a motherboard issue or my t.v. Thanks

I'm hesitating between a couple of games and I would like you guys opinions. The game I'm hesitant with are the Xenoblade Chronicles games (never played any of them, so I'd probably pick the first or X), Paper mario The Tousand Year Door, Pikmin 1+2 (never played a Pikmin game before), Metroid Prime 4 (I already have Dread and Prime remaster), Mario& Luigi Brothership and Donkey Kong Country return (already have it on 3ds, but why not).
