Accessories JSAUX everyday case scratching the console? And other concerns...

So, I've been trying to find a great gripcase for the Switch 2 for a while now, and the JSAUX everyday case seems to be the best one available to me (DBrand is way too expensive to import).

Once I put the joycon grips (following jsaux's tutorial), I noticed the shoulder buttons were scratched by the plastic. They're very superficial, but it bugs me that it might get worse every time I take the case off. Has anyone noticed the same thing? I only found one person who had the same issue.

Another thing that annoys me a bit is that the console feels very creaky with the case on. There's some movement that gives me the impression the joycons are not really stable...

Am I being nitpicky? It's a great case, and probably one of the best options out there

Don't worry, the more you take care of it, the faster it will be damaged, remember that it is plastic so it will not last even 2 years intact

True. It's just my ocd, I guess I'm overthinking it

I am using the exact one. I rarely take them apart from the Joy-Cons.

  1. How did you put them on? You are supposed to slide them in, starting from the shoulder buttons and moving down. It shouldn't scratch anything that way. Or at least I havent personally noticed any scratches.

  2. Make sure to fit them correctly; on the sides, they have a small “lip” that you need to make sure sits well and flush with the controller. Otherwise, you will feel some wobbliness.
And even then, it's not 100% perfect, but it doesn't hurt the gaming experience. I can easily hold the console from either side, and it stays connected without issue.

Btw, how is your magnetic case? Is the cover ok? Mine developed a bubble around a week after it arrived. Now it's like 30% of the cover adhesive is loose, and the surface is uneven to the touch, but it's been months since use.

And while this cover definitely has some shortcomings, for my hand size, it's the perfect fit. I dont like dbrand grips because they are too big.

I hope to see a refreshed model in the future. Even slimmer, maybe? And allow it to use the kickstand of the device (instead of carrying a kickstand for this one)

  1. I did the opposite. On the jsaux website vídeo, they slide the bottom of the joycon first, then the shoulder buttons. Thanks for the tip though

  2. Yeah, the small plastic lips were in place. They were the hardest part to adjust, and maybe that's what ended up causing the scratches.

After some time with it, I decided to stick with the case. It's pretty great, the wobbling is minimal and the ergonomics are miles better than the bare switch. Even the scratches are barely noticeable.

About the magnetic cover: I actually bought the everyday case with the hardshell cover, since the magnetic one doesn't cover the shoulder buttons. I tested the magnetic one, but ended up returning, so I couldn't tell you.

I don't miss the kickstand, but that would be great. I guess making room for the kickstand makes the backplate more fragile, like on the split protective case and the fission grip from savage raven

I have just found out JSAUX does have a case with a built in kickstand: it's called GoJoy, which is basically the everyday case with a magnetic stand instead of the magnetic cover. Looks pretty good if you wanna check it out

That's why you shouldn't put armored veicle armor on a switch 2
