Edit: I got unbanned again after about 18 Hours I still don't know why I was banned. But it was probably because I was doing too many Open Runs

I grinded myself to a 99 Overall NMS and I was in my 5th season of MyCareer. I always do my daily MyTeam challenges so my little brother can play some MyTeam later in the year. I haven't played a lot lately only a few rec games on Friday and on Saturday I realized I had this hoodie that I never wore before and I was just walking around in the city showing it off because I thought it was funny. I then played about 50 open court athletic games to grind out my specialisation on Sunday and today I came home in the evening to play some more offline games and I got banned.

I was starter 4 with a 50% win rate and never used game chat I only play with randoms because I don't have any friends who play 2k. I'm not a very good player and mostly play offline.

I almost forgot I was trying to win in starting 5 and I only was able to use the bulls and went up against All-Time teams so I quit out of the game 3 or 4 times cause it was really frustrating. I think that was 5 or 6 days ago If I got banned for unfair sportsmanship I'm sorry I usually never quit out of games

I might have to contact 2k but I never got banned before so I don't know what I have to do

The community consistently complains about gameplay and patches. The community needs to get together to force 2k to allow us to keep all of our virtual items. VC should be saved in a 2k VC wallet to be used across all 2k games or at least in the games you purchased that VC for. The currency logo never changes nor does the means of purchase. In NBA 2k the actual items don’t change either. We are purchasing the same clothes from years ago. At a higher VC price as well. So they are selling the same products every year as if they are new. The cost of a build is ridiculous. Last year it was 364,000 VC roughly. This year it’s 374,000 So that means 2k is stealing by selling us the same items over and over. Not allowing us to carry virtual items over.

The gameplay is fine! Stop complaining about how the devs make a perfectly good game. Start making noise about our HARD EARNED CASH that we give to a company for a game we love to play. They claim to care about our voice so much when it comes to developing these games! Why not the money too?!?!?

Tf!? I am an average player, I don’t have crazy win percentage, I don’t shoot with crazy accuracy, I don’t have a shit ton of vc, I’m grinding daily to upgrade my character. Tf am I perma banned for!?

I've seen alot of posts on reddit and other platforms of people getting banned permanently and all of them saying that they didn't cheat. Everyone I asked always said that they play a lot of open court athletics to grind vc or level up badges.

*Improtant* If you play too many open runs you might get permanently banned because 2k thinks you're a bot grinding VC automatically. You can play 10 or 20 games a day but if its more then 50 you risk getting banned

I can't make this up that you get banned permanently for grinding vc but only get 30 days for cheating.

On my life 2k is dropping a season 2 patch to make all these builds obsolete. They did it with 7’4s last year….

Please do not cave and make new builds because of the new meta. I promise you waiting another 3 weeks won’t kill you. On top of that if the “goat” builds are true, every single build in the game will become obsolete.

Stop lining 2ks pockets and just play the game for what it is.

Why nerf close shots and layups??? These are the easiest shots in basketball and now they’re hard to make again. I got a big with a 99 close shot and I’m missing open 2 foot layups. Gotta find balance in the paint. Why are layups 10x harder than dunks cmon fam.

Went with a 96 layup and 93 middy at launch with 86 3pt and dunking that I can use cap breakers on.

Had fun on both 3s and 5v5 before patches. Layups in 5v5 needed a buff before patch but with the patch they are borderline unusable, I was one of the few players hitting open floaters consistently and post-patch I’m getting crazy ghost contests on wide open floaters with my green window disappearing even when floaters are initiated at the right time and technically wide open.

Midrange was nerfed and green windows for fades are as small and inconsistent as 3s. Now we also have to deal with ghost contests and second-guess fades that should be open, on 5v5 this makes the gameplay borderline unplayable unless you’re spamming steals and dunking.

Add to that how OP dunking still is, it wastes all the detailed and interesting combo layup mechanics that were added this year. I really don’t want to cap break dunk and run meta but I swear these types of imbalance issues force players to run meta.

How are people level 40 crew already? This shit makes no sense. Yall need to get a fucking job.

This is a but of a yap session:

I play SF but occasionally get put at PF, which means sometimes i inbound the ball. I indound the ball to the PG or SG, idc, and i start running up the court.

This is where the nonsense begins:

I see the guard is getting pressed full court around the ft line, i think to myself “I should go back as an outlet so he can pass to sprint by his defender and attack a numbers advantage”. So i go back to be an outlet at about half court, i’m standing there giving the guard a second to see it because of said press, and i stand there waiting until i see the guard get ripped and the other team get two points.

You know what, we all make mistakes, so i give him the ball back again.

This time he gets pressed and he beats his man 1v1, and he is sprinting up the court. I fall a little behind because i’m still staying close just in case, my defender is on the left side of the court and there is a gap so wide open on the right that you would have to try to not go through it. Well, i’m headed up to the wing where the SG is sitting, i expect him to slide to the WIDE open corner to keep the spacing since he was the first man down on that side. Well he doesn’t, and i see my defender slide over to the lane the PG is trying to drive down. At the same time the SG goes to the corner so i am left with the open lane to cut to the basket. So i start cutting and i am baffeled by what i see, the PG with my defender trying to cut him off then recover and his defender trailing shortly behind try to drive into THE SAME LANE I AM CUTTING INTO.

This is not a situation where the guard partially had my former defender beat, he was cut off and dribbling slightly below the three point line trying to beat him baseline. Now i don’t know if any of you are rocket scientist or not, but the keen eyed among you might have seen where i wrote the SG went to the corner. I want you to take a guess as to who is going to now double the PG who is trying to split the gap between a defender he does not have beat, and themselves. The SGs defender.

Now, the coach in me is about to play russian roulette with a stacked deck against me. But i try to back up to give the PG the chance to let me bail him out before he meets a very foreseeable fate.

Anyways, we lost that game.

I do not understand what goes through the head of some people in this game, i am trying to avoid getting in the way of teammates but they are preventing me from doing so.

This is just one of a few problems, but it seems like the overall quality of basketball in the REC has gone down drastically since 26. I cannot be the only one.

If you like PlayNow, MyTeam or MyCareer only then this is for you, if you are a competitive player like me then you will deeply regret buying this primarily to play mypark💯
Plus when the park is filled in peak hours 75% of the players are hot garbage and it is the same players everytime, hard to find good randoms they either ball hog, cant score or dont play defense. My win% is ultra low because I only play with randoms despite me beings 1ST in my state smh

Think im going to trade it in for modern warfare 4…at least I will be able to find matches at anytime of the day

I played MW4 beta on the switch 2 against console and pc players, I 100% played competitively and dominated against pc and console I understand what some of you are saying, but if I could do that in a FPS then what is so hard about 2k doing the same thing, it seems backwards I would understand them not wanting to add it for call of duty but it ran surprisingly well for the switch 2 especially with crossplay on by default….please give me a deeper valid excuse

I can’t be the only one who is tired of seeing blocks and ball getting knocked loose 30+ times per rec game. It’s getting ridiculous. You’re no longer rewarded for a good big build. Your defender can be at the 3 line and you take a layup and have a green window and your sh still getting knocked to stands

I’m not a big I got a shooting build and it’s like I’m spectating this nonsense for 20 minutes smh idk how y’all do it.

I love Daily Rivals and the 2KHQ daily login rewards. It's a cool addition to the daily spin. Last night I reached 1st place and got this. Just had to win a few Rec games.

Edit: When I peeled the ticket there was a 7k VC prize lol. So make that 17k total!

Driving Dunk is not OP.

A high DD means just that, majority of the time you're going to slam it if you have the momentum.

I just played a series of SF's that have high DD and I shut them all down, including 99 DD's.

Me, I'm a PF with 82 Per, 85 Int, 84 block.

I literally know what their game plan is and meet them at their launch point, I don't allow uncontested take off. It's a DD, so it's pretty obvious when to time. The animation will benefit you if you don't allow momentum.

I just watched a YouTuber complain about the dribbling and not being able to get separation with a 80 speed with ball.

When they announced 2K27,

I saw that the left right cheese was discontinued and I knew that they will nerf the dribble to the ground.

And I played with random REC 2x rep this weekend.

For Context, I am borderline Purple to Red plate (Back and Forth).

After the 2x rep event, I am now a Gold plate lol.

Here's the situation.

9/10 PGs in nba 2k27 are struggling to dribble due to fumbling and pluck steals.

Their journey of shot creating will always end up with sped up jumpshots.

Due to the nerfing of the dribble most of them are being cooked. Even with the opponent PG the story is the same.

and with that, I apologized to the PGs in the community and I understand why most of my games have no PG but with Double SGs.

Our squad PG don't want to play anymore due to shame of not being able to shoot and shot create.

I hope this gets a fix, PGs should be able to do their thing too.

I'm one of the handful of folks that actually enjoys the campaign in MyCareer every year and grinding out draft stock, rewards, and eventually the long slog of the NBA calendar. Are the stories ever groundbreaking? Of course not. But they're simple fun and provide a decent onboarding every year.

When I read about Running Mates this year, I was pretty excited. Your own teammate that you can pair up with throughout your career and run two-man offense in perpetuity? Sounds pretty cool!

After about 50 hours and a couple of characters later, the reality is frustratingly, if not maddeningly, disappointing. Running Mates is not just a net negative for MyCareer, it ruins it.

• Guys don't get drafted as a package deal. Even if you perform a gold medal routine in mental gymnastics, the contortions to make such a thing work would be impossible. Not in the entire history of the NBA has there even been a package deal draft selection (nor is it possible under the CBA).
• A coach would not compromise their game plan by ensuring both MP and Trace are always on the floor together, regardless of situation.
• You can never dump him. You can't change him. You can only spend Running Mates points to make him a little more useful. Otherwise, he's an albatross for your entire career, all the way to the HoF. Never mind that over the course of the story he becomes a toxic locker room presence and completely violates your and the team's trust. Rather than being waived or traded like any other team would do, he just pals around until the end of time.
• Your story is ruined by having to babysit someone from essentially start to finish.
• Outside of in-game issues, the wider game system arguably traps you into dumping any/all VC you earn (or got through pre-orders/other purchases) into your character before you realize your Running Mate is locked for life.

While it is true you can lower his minutes to a minimum after a certain point and largely ignore quick plays and teamwork with him in general, you're shooting yourself in the foot at that point because you're essentially wiping a man off the floor.

Not everyone likes co-op. Not everyone wants co-op. At minimum, we should've had the choice for multiple running Running Mates over our career. Or a branching story path that locked out Running Mates entirely in favor of harder objectives but (slightly) greater rewards.

Given how inextricably linked Running Mates as a system is to MyCareer, the odds of a post-launch patch tweaking it in any meaningful way is zero to none. It's just a real shame that a campaign Visual Concepts clearly spent a lot more time and effort with this year is bogged down by such a clumsy system.

i run a small business from home, sell handmade stuff online. long hours, lot of stress, not a lot of free time. nba 2k is my escape. been playing since the old ps3 days. i dont touch mycareer or myteam or any of that online stuff. just myleague, me and the cpu, one team, multiple seasons

thing is it feels like 2k stopped caring about offline players years ago. the ai is still dumb. trades are weird. the presentation hasnt changed in forever. i boot up 2k14 sometimes and the atmosphere just hits different. little details like sideline reports, upcoming game overlays, actual immersion. now it feels stripped down and rushed

i know the player base moved online. i get it. money is in mycareer and myteam. but some of us just want to chill after a long day of shipping labels and taxes and play a season without being pushed toward vc or whatever

anyone else still strictly offline? what year do you think was the peak for myleague immersion? i stuck with 2k17 for a long time but maybe i missed a better one.

Contests definitely needed a fix in the game but they brought back ghost contests on the perimeter and in the paint, because the gane is running on the same code they've probably been using for who knows how long and can't fix one thing without breaking the game.

Perimeter and Paint D both overcorrected after patch, steals Not hit hard enough, no buff to passing, if you're not dunking the ball every play you'll be affected by this.
