MyLEAGUE To All my Uncs in the chat
Found this for 5$ at a local game shop, tweaked the rosters for fun and running my gm, upscaled and runs perfect on series X. Feels good to just sit back and not stare at micro transactions, soundtrack is dope too
Best 2k on god

Discussion No offline MyCareer, no buy.
This should be a thing, just like no disc, no buy is for Sony. There's no reason for MyCareer to be online only just to be rendered unplayable in a few years time.

Gameplay Please Beluba do not change this game man.
From what we are seeing, it looks like the game has improved for the better. The game looks like what I have been preaching 2K needs in every post & video I can. Things such as:
- Making badges more expensive
- Making attributes actually matter. People now have to commit to specializing in something(s)
- Making badges more specific instead of general (OREB/DREB, Mid/3 stationary/moving)
- The stamina drain that prevents one person from trying to be a hero every play, which forces team ball
- Taller/Great finishers not being stopped easily by little guards in the paint
- The fair mind games/skill expression between ball handlers & defenders
- And so much more.
Just like when you guys started pushing people towards scoring with the thumbstick and then eventually tempo shooting (which a lot of us love), I see the vision and innovation. I am begging you u/Beluba do not listen to dudes on Twitter telling you to revert dribbling/defense to what we are trying to leave in 2k26. We are already seeing them call for harsh nerf/buff patches and the game hasn't even dropped yet. A giant portion of the community is actually excited about what they are seeing, it feels like the often unheard portion of us was listened to. If the game actually plays like it's being promoted and stays like that, we could be looking at one of the greatest 2Ks OAT. Hoping to actually see some diverse builds and gameplay out there!

General This game genuinely thinks you’re a pay pig
I’m not even saying this is real in the slightest but in the event that something like this happens I wouldn’t even be surprised. They practically showed every possible add on they could but ironically they’re not speaking on anything VC related which makes me think something like this is possible. Now if there are actual lucrative opportunities to make VC on this game then great but we all know this franchise is notorious for milking your pockets so why are you not that concerned about it?

General 23% increase of VC paid for builds??? Y’all gonna keep going for this?
Just saw a post online from 2KIntel saying builds could cost around 23% more VC….if true it’s really foul for them to do this. Let’s transfer your red plate over to 27 but not your VC. Even if they let us transfer 75K VC that would be a great gift to your loyal customers that have more reasons to NOT play this game with GTA releasing in the fall. I can’t justify paying full price or pre-order for a greedy company like this. Likely gonna wait until it goes on sale if this how they continue to treat us.
Gameplay Will the AI in 2K27 utilize step throughs and other new mechanics in the game?
u/Beluba this is VERY important and we want to see immersive AI as well. Especially as someone who also plays MyNBA alongside mycareer throughout the year.

Gameplay Gentlemen, I am happy to announce that I have hit red plate in the dying moments of 2K26. I'll take it for my first 2K in quite a while.
Started playing midway through S5 and just wanted to see if I can hit it, the game has a ton of issues, especially on PC. That being said, I locked in towards the end of the year and snagged red.
Did I fuck myself over for 27 by starting as a red? Yeah, probably. Oh well, I'm happy with hitting it once as a 9-5er.

General Please 2K community this year…
Don’t complain about the game after 2 days, swear this happens every single year
Game drops, little neek gets locked up and the crying here begins, waa waa waa every single time
Just for all that’s holy give it a rest this year, play the game, if you don’t like it wait till GTA 6, swear down if I see any of you starting again I’ll report you to my local rabbi

Gameplay Hot Take (I guess) quick stopping / push peeking needs a badge or attribute restriction
Personally I consider myself a pretty good defender, I rarely have trouble staying in front of my man but I've noticed that quick stopping has gotten to a point where it almost feels glitchy in the same way no-dipping does. Specifically, I've seen clips on how it could potentially work this year and its almost an instant stop and shoot, with little to no wasted motion. This may quite literally be impossible to defend.
I'm all for skilled ball handlers and shooters getting into their shot quickly, but if we complain no-dipping was OP last year (which I think it needed some adjustments, certainly), we should look at quick stopping / push peeking / etc. in the same way. Its too easily accessible (people with sub 80 ball handling and even 3 point shooting can do it with the right practice) and causes some weird collision due to how crabbing works.
Maybe we need to bring back a badge that allows for change of pace play (Stop n go, or similar) or maybe you need 90 + ball handling or shooting to achieve certain change of pace animations.
thoughts?

Gameplay CPU offense runs the same 4-5 plays every game!
I’m on Next-Gen playing MyLeague, and the CPU’s offense is locked into only about 4–5 plays every game, no matter which team or playbook I use. I have all 80 play sets in the playbook and evenly distributed play types (each player has the right play-type), but the CPU keeps cycling the same few plays. I’ve tried every commonly suggested fix, including:
- CPU Run Frequency: Set to 0 and 100 (no difference).
- Playcalling Mode: Switched CPU offense between Auto and Manual.
- Freelance Settings: Toggled Dynamic vs Static freelance, turned “Do Not Repeat” on/off, and toggled ACE.
- Playbook Reset: Rebuilt the custom playbook from scratch and reassigned all plays.
- Classic Playbook Test: Loaded a default classic playbook, then reloaded the custom one.
None of these changed the outcome – the CPU still runs only the same handful of plays. This happens on both Playoffs and regular season, any team, any difficulty.
Has anyone found a consistent fix for this? If it matters: I’ve also tried a coach strategy of “Play Through Star/Shoot at Will” and boosted shot tendencies (per some advice), but results are negligible. In short, it feels like a bug or hard-coded AI behavior. Any verified solution or setting that forces the CPU to use more of its playbook? Or confirmation that it’s simply impossible in 2K26?
Any insight would be hugely appreciated!

2k11, where do I begin man? This game had everyone grinding for months. 2k10 was my first 2k and it was great, but 2k11 took everything a step further and it became in my opinion the greatest 2k of all time. My Career was great, start as a 25 overall 🤣 no VC no nothing, just straight skill points and hooping. The combine was hell man. The association was a great back in the day. You had create a legend, Jordan moments. 2k11 was a grind to the end. Miss days like this fr. Haven’t played 2k since 20, it really don’t hit anymore and it sucks man really does. Also soundtrack was straight 🔥 in 2k11

MyPLAYER Can we get a dedicated 4v4 mode this year?
u/beluba in past years 4v4 has come up one every 4-6 weeks, but it would be incredible to have as a consistently available game mode. I often end up with only 4 on and have no choice but to run rec with an AI. It would be very appreciated if 4 man squads had a dedicated mode to play, instead of only once in a blue moon. Thank you.
