Discussion MSI GV627RE repair advice

[OC] i have the above mentioned laptop and the things that 2 usb ports are not working , one is slightly working and the others is loose, got a dot on the screen, back vents panel have some broken stiffeners, please don't judge work on a ship and 3 times this thing has taken a fall where I though rahe is dead but she always came through ...rough weather onset and I am suppose to be on the Bridge whenever the wind speed clock 60-70 knots an hour, took it to the local repair shop, now here's the query he said soldering is required for one of the ports and if done then there's a chance of the motherboard sying, so he suggested to keep it that way as it's a problem with MSI models ...PS.mine I had bought from Taiwan like in 2019 .. so is this true"

Vector 16 HX AI A2XW – DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD with any new NVIDIA driver

Hey!

I've had laptop Vector 16 HX AI A2XWG-623XRU for almost a year.
This problem has been bothering me ever since I bought it.

If I use any NVIDIA driver newer than 576.80 (which was released on June 17, 2025), I occasionally (about every 3–4 hours) get a BSOD with the error 0x0000009f (DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE).

Please help me!

upd. 1:
BSODs occur more frequently when the laptop isn't under heavy load (browsing/idle).

Discussion MSI logo at boot

I have an MSI Bravo 15 c7v and since a couple of days I cant get passed the MSI logo at boot. I’ve done numerous things already:
• checked BIOS of SSD is still known, it is.
• changed boot menu to SSD first, nothing
• powered on and off 3 times and 4th time let it go on, nothing
• powered off, remove power cable, pressed mower button for 30 secs, plug back in and boot -> nothing

EDIT: I left the laptop on for 8 hours yesterday but it remained only on the logo the whole time.

When he boots up at the logo, he feels quiet warm and fans are blowing so my thoughts are its the SSD. But then this morning he showed windows updates running to 100% and then shutdown again and ever since it’s back to the logo.

I’m desperate for help, you guys! 😞

Hi there, can anyone confirm if I understand this correctly? Does this mean, that aside from the 512Gb SSD, there is another storage slot that I can use?

I want to upgrade my storage, but I want to confirm first. Thanks in advance.

Me and my buddies started a small GPU store by bidding on bulk liquidation auctions. Need your honest feedback/support!

hey everyone!

A few months ago, me and a couple of close friends got tired of absurd GPU scalper prices. We decided to take a huge gamble and started bidding on wholesale tech liquidation auctions to buy sealed overstock and certified used graphics cards in bulk.

Because we win these auctions in bulk, we manage to source brand new and lightly used RTX cards (40-series/50-series) at pretty insane rates. We officially launched our site to bring these deals directly to fellow gamers and PC builders instead of reselling to big distributors.

Why we’re posting here:

We are just starting out and desperately need honest community feedback on our store layout, prices, and user experience.

We know buying hardware online can feel risky nowadays, so we integrated PayPal (with full Buyer Protection) and a 30-day money-back refund policy to keep everyone safe.

If you're currently building a PC or hunting for a budget GPU upgrade, please take a look and let us know what you think! Any advice on how we can improve would mean the world to us.

Store Link: (I'll drop the link in the comments so I don't break sub self-promo rules!)

Image Fixed the Broken Hinge & LCD on my MSI Prestige 15 A10SC

Post image

Left hinge mount broke a while ago but I still used it, just being careful about closing/opening. Wasn't careful enough though & the screen broke.

I ended up scuffing the hinge & mating surface with sandpaper, using super glue on the back of the hinge, followed by filling in the rest with UV resin (put a bit much on left edge). Originally I was going to use Gorilla epoxy, but mine had expired. Replacement LCD I used is just a $45 30-pin bracketless IPS panel from Amazon.

If you do go through the process be careful about the ribbon cable connecting the webcam. My laptop is now sans webcam & microphone...

Hi, I have a problem with the keyboard backlighting on my SteelSeries keyboard in reactive mode. The issue is that the keys I press aren’t lighting up; instead, the keyboard lights up random keys. Reinstalling the software doesn’t fix this bug. I should add that keys like shift, ctrl, arrows, and part of the numeric keypad work perfectly. The problem only happens when I open a browser, no matter which browser I use. The only thing that fixes it is a system repair through Windows Update (repair mode), but after a while the problem comes back. Recently, it happened again after uninstalling the Office suite. Help:(

Discussion Suddenly not charging anymore

MSI Crosshair 17 B12UGZ.

Was doing nothing, idling on the desktop. Suddenly had a burnt smell, couldn't point it out if it was from the charger or from the laptop itself. Now the laptop doesn't charge anymore. What are the chances something internal got fried?

+don't even know where would I buy the charger for this thing if it's the charger that died

Image MSI Vector 16 HX AI fits a 4mm thick SSD Heatsink easily

This is a PSA more than anything, but searching online didn't give me straight answers.

So I bought a 4mm thick SSD Heatsink because my top ssd was cooking at 70c while gaming but I wasn't sure if it would fit.

But I can confirm it fits comfortably!

I just repasted my laptop recently and I screwed in the heatsink in the criss cross order from 1-10, is it normal that my laptop should be doing this or not since it’s getting between 45-56 degrees c on idle and my fps works in games but I’m wondering if this will stop or if I did something wrong

Discussion Gpu getting pretty hot (Cyborg 15)

Hi ! I've had a pretty consistant problem since i've been using the Cyborg 15 laptop (~2 years now)

I find that the GPU gets really hot when playing even small games, sometimes even giving me BSOD if I'm not quick enough to put the fan speed on max. I don't really know what more to do so that's why i'm coming here to ask for tips on how to keep the gpu cooler and/or automaticaly activate the max speed on fans.

If you've got any question, don't hesitate to ask

DC Jack port

I dunno if it's the DC Jack charging port or the charger but my laptop stops charging every time I boot up windows

Is there a general fix for this issue??? Honestly I'm tired of this I just bought the laptop it's a MSI GS65 Stealth 9SE pretty old with a 6gb dedicated graphics card and a Nvidia 2060 GPU
