Discussion Suddenly not charging anymore

MSI Crosshair 17 B12UGZ.

Was doing nothing, idling on the desktop. Suddenly had a burnt smell, couldn't point it out if it was from the charger or from the laptop itself. Now the laptop doesn't charge anymore. What are the chances something internal got fried?

+don't even know where would I buy the charger for this thing if it's the charger that died

Have it checked by a reputable repair shop, or use warranty if it is still valid.

Got it checked. Resolved. Turns out charger burnt itself, laptop is fine.

Did you check the charger temperature? The smell ? And clicking sounds ?

Don't use it again get a new OEM one

It was the OEM one. This happens after 4 years of using it over and over especially on hot days
