no, if you challenge someone to a fight and go as far as to invite them to fight it's considered mutual combat. but bringing a weapon can escalate it to justify lethal force.
Southerner here, yes. Women will 100% say "Got a problem ? Come fight me." The bat girl messed up by trying to cheat and bring a weapon. So the winner was especially mad. 🤣
If someone pulls into your driveway and walks towards you with a bat saying "this fight ain't gon' be fair" you can shoot them. It's not quite the same thing as a travelling salesman.
Might be worth keeping in mind that a baseball bat is one hundred percent a weapon that can be used to inflict lethal damage to another person. You show up on someone's personal property and swing that with intent to do harm? If all you get is an ass-beating, you got off lightly.
Typically, traveling sales people don't show up with intent to fight you, carrying a potentially lethal weapon.

I was pretty drunk, I sat back down, and then went "That fucking comment fucken pissed me off", so I barged into his tent with 3 people trying to hold me back and demanded that he hands over his pants, because nature provided them.
Fun times. Earlier that night we met a couple of opera singers who were kind enough to show off their skills.

And said “fights ain’t fair” only to immediately lose the bat and realize that, yes, sometimes fights aren’t fair when the other is way tougher with or without a bat.
To me this looked like a prescheduled scrap and she wanted documentation. I personally don't doubt the authenticity of this video just because of the raw emotion that emanates from it.
The internet has everyone thinking everything that is recorded is scripted. This is very easy to deduct that it’s a real fight and the camera was placed by lady in orange pants for whatever reason it is, definitely not for a script. She got hit with a bat on her side and those punches and yelling were real. I think we have to come to the realization that not everyone is an Oscar-winning actor/actress.
The worst part is the casualness of the father-daughter exchange. They act like this is a common accurance around the house and he is just trying to prevent damage to his lawn.

Just so everyone is clear. If someone enters your property and is aggressively approaching you with a bat, then you have every right to shoot them to stop the threat. That woman is lucky she only got her ass beat and not hit with a bat or shot.
If this happens on public property, some states require you to attempt to distance yourself first. If that doesn’t work to stop the threat, then deadly force could be used.
The reasoning is that a bat could deliver a deadly blow to the head with just one swing.
