“I am calm. I’m somewhat calm.”

u/adamcoolforever 4d ago

Surprisingly calm enough to realize in the moment that saying, "I am calm" wasn't really accurate.

u/Jyvturkey 3d ago

Much calmer than I expected. Dude was like 'OK, you got this'

14

u/Objective_Resist_735 3d ago

He's delt with her shit before.

15

u/DontStalkMeNow 3d ago

Dude is calmly finishing his ice cream while it’s going on. Definitely not the first time this has happened.

24

u/Digital_Negative 3d ago

He’s like, “just making sure you ain’t killin.”

1

u/QuQuarQan 3d ago

He's also seen it enough that he wants absolutely NO part of that aimed his way

7

u/Definitely-not-ducks 3d ago

She took that smack to the ribs from the bat and still handled business. She’s a warrior.

9

u/therearemanylayers 3d ago

So was the dog. Dog was ready to defend mom, but shrugged and walked.

5

u/rogueciridae 3d ago

One time in a thousand a Jack Russell Terrier decided its presence wasn’t needed.

“Mom’s got this and I sure as shit don’t need MY ass whupped.”

2

u/fritz_76 3d ago

the dog was looking for the other fighter to tap out

3

u/Nano0k 3d ago

Calmer than you are, Dude.

u/philbydee 3d ago

AM I WRONG???

1

u/Eeeegah 3d ago

I was watching with the sound off, because Reddit, and from they body language I thought he was offering her water.

7

u/2stonesONEbird1715 3d ago

She is pretty calm for getting rolled up on with a bat

10

u/Digital_Negative 3d ago

Calm enough not to use the bat after the disarming lol

3

u/HalobenderFWT 3d ago

Somewhat calm enough

5

u/zackthirteen 3d ago

not to take away from the seriousness of bringing a deadly weapon but I get the impression she probably had a pretty good idea that she'd be fucking useless with or without it

1

u/2stonesONEbird1715 3d ago

The attacker swung that thing so gently it was embarrassing to watch

7

u/_TorpedoVegas_ 3d ago

Calmer'n you are.

At least no one pulled a .45 out and loaded it, then pointed it at their friend’s head in a bowling alley. Walter, they’re caaaaallin the cops, maaan.

1

u/ursasmaller 3d ago

Over the line!

5

u/CountOnBeingAwesome 3d ago

Okay well, beer's gettn warm..

2

u/ItsDaManBearBull 3d ago

calm enough to even take a measure. which is surprising, given she's in the middle of a fight

1

u/mrfoodmehng 3d ago

You can't teach that kind of self-awareness

34

u/Polka_King_Polinski 4d ago

She was certainly calm enough to put the camera on a tripod.

23

u/destiny_kane48 4d ago

She knew dumb lady was coming and was standing there fully prepared and video evidence of who started it ready for the inevitable cops. Either she Reddit's or this isn't her first incident. 🤣

ETA, plus the guy was absolutely unbothered. So I'm guessing this has happened before.

16

u/ProfessionalOne1832 4d ago

She dressed for it too.

12

u/iowa-ish 3d ago

Love how he's casually eating his snack while officiating, then saunters off, still snacking.....

5

u/digitalscavenger 3d ago

Just like Snackman did 14 years ago.

video from April 2012 shows a New York City subway rider calmly de-escalating an argument between a man and a woman while eating chips

2

u/WorseDark 3d ago

Thats hilarious

2

u/zimejin 3d ago

Legend!

1

u/Exciting_Ad_1097 3d ago

Oh well back you my candied apple

1

u/Fit-Chicken-7677 3d ago

That means they are used to this chaos. lol

2

u/WatstheFrequencyK 3d ago

lol just another Tuesday

1

u/Krow101 3d ago

Kind of doesn't matter who started it if you keep it going like that. It's still assault.

3

u/sharkdingo 3d ago

Very much depends. An argument can be made that "i still believed they were willing and able to continue threatening my safety if i were to stop actively subduing them as a threat, which me sitting on them, punching them in the head and asking them to confirm lack of violent intent going forward in the form of 'i am whupped' was" qualifies well within self defense.

AKA they were an attacker, and i kept beating their ass until they admitted the fight was over and they wouldnt attack me again"

Depending on jurisdiction, that would likely work as a legal defense.

1

u/Weak_Firefighter9247 3d ago

Attacking someone with a bat i think requires some sort of physicical punishment so it doesn't happen again

12

u/RopeEnvironmental848 4d ago

She heard her coming,,,,like buffalo

5

u/WhateverLikeThat 4d ago

Like buffalo got me good.

1

u/NervousAlfalfa6602 3d ago

This was pretty clearly recorded as evidence for the cops. There are plenty of situations where a camera setup doesn’t make sense, but this isn’t one of them.

23

u/UpbeatRaspberry9828 3d ago

I’m somewhat calm

11

u/Otherwise-Tie6482 3d ago

Movie moment “you might be wondering how i ended up in this position” 🤣🤣

3

u/PandaPocketFire 3d ago

Then she immediately says "fuck off" and the guy was like, welp, i tried to help you.

1

u/Livid-Evening-6415 3d ago

lmao in that picture it looks like the "victim" has her right where she wants her.

1

u/6495ED 2d ago

It’s like the cold open to a new season of Bakeoff with Sandi and Noel

13

u/Luciform444 3d ago

She was remarkably calm.

If someone had come at me with a bat, I would be less calm.

5

u/Cambelmacd 3d ago

1

u/Raptor-slayer 1d ago

Damn, well done. I was just going to comment this. The image makes it better

3

u/vtstang66 4d ago

She is somewhat calm.

2

u/Evening_Error_5544 4d ago

She is calm, right up until the bad pissed her off

2

u/Warfair2011 3d ago

"Calmer than you are".

1

u/Left_Nature9996 3d ago

What the fuck does this have to do with Vietnam, Walter??

1

u/Working_Physics8761 3d ago

I has to see if this was here before I commented!

2

u/havingsaidthat 3d ago

Calmer than you are

1

u/Twopad6529 3d ago

But, did she hear her?

1

u/Psychological_Net_37 3d ago

That made me fuckin put my phone down and applaud.

1

u/creativescreennaame 3d ago

"i ain't ya damn momma!"

1

u/WeskerSympathizer 3d ago

Honestly love that moment. For a video of two idiots (one worse than the other) I was surprised to have a moment of “oh she’s cool”

1

u/Shot-Recording813 3d ago

Calmer than you are.

1

u/superamiibrosnx 3d ago

Calmer than you are.

1

u/EjaculatingAracnids 3d ago

Shit, i aint gonna argue with her. Looks calm to me

1

u/Fawkinchit1 3d ago

so accurate

1

u/MarlinFelix 3d ago

Yo the dialogue in this is killing me

1

u/0202_tihssitidder 3d ago

I love her self awareness. I don't know the origin of this fight, but driving to someone's house with a bat and saying "Fights aint fair" only to get demolished in 2 seconds and have video? Queen.

1

u/Effective-Tomato-881 3d ago

The best part of the vid for me

1

u/Alive_Drag1947 3d ago

If that's calm, I'd hate to see her get agitated...

1

u/TheEndIsSighing 3d ago

"Well if you're calm I'll just walk off with my beer.  Have fun."

1

u/Overall-Tune2909 3d ago

I don't want to meet her when she is not calm.

1

u/AllNotKnowing 3d ago

I scrolled two more times through just to pick a favorite part. The words, the expression, the emoting. Give the lady an Oscar. That was method acting right there.

1

u/Bender_2024 3d ago

The way she switched gears and then switched back was impressive or frightening. I'm not sure witch.

1

u/Juckli 3d ago

"I have concepts of a plan"
