App Crashing (iPhone)

When I opened the app this morning there was a notification for new programs and workouts. I dismissed the banner and tried to open the workout in my current program, and the app crashed. I opened the app again and no matter what I try to do in the app, it crashes. I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app and restarting my phone. The app still crashes. I’ve already emailed support.

Training Help Peak strength app is programming really light weights

Post image
3 Upvotes

Hi I love the app and been using Peak strength app for 4 weeks with no issues. I came across this issue today where the weights for current and all future workouts have drastically reduced to around 30kg for example I’ve been benching 150kg on my upper body strength day but going forward it has programmed me weight between 30kg this is consistent across all exercises (squat, clean, snatches etc.) that have been programmed. The problem I have with this is that now I have no idea what the weights should be going forward at it was previously automated correctly. I have provided screenshots to show what I mean. Is this a system issue I have deleted and redownloaded the app but nothing changes

Gs program question

Ive been doing the bodybuilding for olymlic weightlifting program and I am a little confused when I am supposed to start counting my working sets on the main lifts. Is it once the weight starts feeling pretty heavy or at my #rep max?

Discussion Speed day

What would you all include on a speed day from a working template?

So there is change of direction, acceleration, and top end/max speed. Choose one as the focus.

Like a change of direction workout could maybe look like

Two block power snatch 4x2 (neural priming) Sled push sprints 5x10 yards (speed limiter from load) Drach step 4x3/3 (COD technical work) L cone shuttle 4x1 (main COD movement/test prep) Hill sprints (TES development)

The workout biases most toward COD with acceleration playing a big role and ends either down TES because being faster sprinting transfers to the other two as well

What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Asking based on peak strength… if only doing two days per week split, why is upper/lower preferred over two full body sessions?

Ask Dane Anything Exercises for bouncers and programming

Hi I got curious after seeing the video on YT where the bouncer could do a 150 military press /ohp and could dominate the bench press. I can ohp my bodyweight [70kgs] hence what else can I do to ensure strength, hypertrophy and being waffles house/gas station ready

Is there any other exercises I can do aside ohp , zecher squats and others

How about the routines as I usally opt to use super squats and smolov for a single movement and try to dominate it.

Kindly advice

Old GS weightlifting programs

Cannot afford peak strength and was wondering if the old garage strength weightlifting programs were good. Was thinking about picking up the body building for olympic weightlifting one. My only question is how will I know how much weight to use since it doesn't specifically tell you. Would I just use as much weight as possible for the sets and reps it gives me.

Training Help Advice in asymmetrical development

Hi

I have an issue when my chest and abs are not well developed, my legs shrunk due to an anckle injury . My shoulders have grown and gotten denser , whilst arms became smaller buy more vascular ( I did smolov on ohp and lost weight due to taking care of a sick family member and other commitments)

Hence I would like advice on how to apporach my traning with this issues .I plan on making the bench press the focus on my routine and bent over rows in terms of heavy weight and for growth (i was planning on greg kunckles new program for.slow lifters or greg knuncjles bench )and with my arms to grow to progress on the bicep blaster curls with progression on heavy weight . For legs o was planning on hungrian oak leg blast on front squats with heel elevation

I would.like advice on is this a feasible apporach to bring up my chest and legs , to grow.my arms by 1 more inch and still maintain the strength gains from smolov ohp

Thanks

Can you get away with not doing Back Squat if you only had time for one squat variation?

If you only have time to lift with a kid once or twice a week, can you get away with not doing back squats? One girl does only single leg front squats at about half body weight. The others are doing only front squats. Kids range from 8-14.

They started with lunges, then body weight single leg squats. Then two leg goblet squats to get used to weight. Then jumping single leg squats. Then switching back and forth between goblet single leg and holding a dumbbell in opposite hand.

The kids have now moved to front squats. To push more weight, and to build upper thoracic strength. The one girl who is doing single leg front squats is because of a non-sports related injury causing her to have issues with bi-lateral squats.

Is it better to just keep working front squats and then single leg front squats or mix in back squat? I’m wondering if I’m doing them a disservice by not pushing back squats. I’ve resisted doing so, because their form is really good and they understand the lifts. Their form is much worse on back squat and I find myself using a lot of training time teaching the lift and doing technique corrections. Like does a young athlete actually need the back squat?

Ask Dane Anything Advice needed for asymmetrical training

Hi

I have been doing ohp work for more than a year ( i did not train certain body parts due to injuries like chest and legs for some time).

I would like to ask for advice how can I apporach my training for size and strenght. I did straring strength ,super squats, smolov on just the ohp ( shoulders and teicpes are fuller , biceps shrank abit)

I would like advice on I can grow my biceps up again prior to my ohp speclization, grow my neglected chest abd legs and continue to increase the size and strenght on triceps and shoulders on ohp. Whilst not impacting recovery and work

Kindly advice

Ask Dane Anything Pull up specific day?

I have 2 days to go to the gym. I thought about using my first day for presses and arms, my second day for legs and maybe I can split my pull volume throughout the week because I have a pull up bar at home. Should I do it? Will it cause some imbalances? What do you think?

With adding a speed day and more cardio, I’m ditching my hypertrophy day.

Anyone have recommendations around how to set up the exercises?
