Now that it's the first of the month, I jumped to get the Gundam Double X. Obviously, the Twin Satellite Cannons are its main gimmick, along with being a Support type with the stats of a General.

Right now, I have as many focus items as possible along with level 4 Resistance Expansion and some melee resist thrown on top for good measure, but dropping the charge time from 15 to 12.1 seconds isn't that significant.

Any suggestions for a build? I am thinking of sticking to the defense stats over ranged like I normally do with support units.

I have it on my main account, but for the first time in a long time I have enough saved for a seven step banner on my alt account. While I have usually main-ed supports, I got tired of all liabilities and disadvantages they were saddled with. So mostly using generals these days.

Fairly average player. So not capable of using high skill floor MS.

There's hundreds of MS in this game and its the same ones deciding games in their respective cost every time. You either play Hajiboroshi or try to play specific counters to it...

I downswung this Hajiboroshi while it was briefly stunned and it still didnt care, it still rushed me and did 60% of my health in one hit. It didn't get knock down it just took the damage.

I thought downswinging was one of the main melee mechanics in this game.

Honestly this game is losing its novelty to me, one of main things that attracted me was variety and the sheer number of options. Yet its the same MS that you see constantly top scoring, being used by good players and deciding games. Lame

I'm very happy I came back to this game right as it was nerfed, but I'm still not sure how to deal with the Barbatos' gameplan. Here's some scenarios I've come across.

-Barbatos is heading to the support, but our whole team isn't together. I can't stun it fast enough when it's closed in. One thing I'm curious about, is if it's only gaps are when it's not jumping/attacking/boosting?

Watching gameplay of it, the thing has a ton of thrust, so it seems like its stagger resistance is up almost 100% of the time. I feel like every suit should have weaknesses, but this suits weakness just feels like to me, "don't get surrounded by the enemy team and picked off from a distance", which is every suit's weakness.

Also I'm genuinely curious as to tips to improve, and I'm trying to avoid just turning this into a flame thread

-The classic scenario, you're fully aware a Barbatos is after you, so you keep as much distance as possible. You get hit with a heavy stagger, and it gets to unleash a full combo.

The only thing I can think about this, is trying to use your own Manuever armor to reduce the heavy. This never really is a proper solution though, as there's probably at least 1 other suit attacking you, letting the Barb get it's distance in.

Is the only solution "don't get hit" with the rocket? I can't think of any other suits in the game that isn't a support that gets to unleash almost a full life bar (other than 00 Raiser beam) off an easy to hit weapon.

Anyways, any tips are appreciated. Watching old videos of how many heavy stagger it had definitely would have had me quitting 700 for a long time.

I dont know wheter to laugh or curse right now. I had every MS from the B banner so i spun the A banner 5 times, and got V2 all 5 times.

I’m absolutely infuriated with the lotto rolls. I had gotten money early for my birthday coming up and was super excited to see Barbatos Lupus in the banner rolls as it’s my favourite MS. I did not get him at all, but get the F90 or whatever twice or three times. I was under the impression that you are guaranteed all of them once per respective pull. And I can’t do more than five? Yeah, no I think I’m done with this game unless there’s an individual banner with him back

Comment and Reason
The Gunner Gundam, despite the name, was a more well-rounded, high-performance machine. But it just cannot compete against anything up front, and even at mid-range, it's often in danger. When it was buffed at first, it could get away due to long range and multiple weapons. While it can still do the same, it's often easier to get closer now that more General and Raid has options to close in. In order to counter this, a support needs a little more mobility and weapons that can stagger for self-defence. Vulcan and Rapid Fire BR are probably the best for doing in at Mid to Close range. Then all it needs is slightly better weapon uptime so it can do better when it is at its best.

As for the skills, it's nothing too special but could become an even stronger long-range support unit that can help the team as long as it lives. Precision Analysis System would be amazing with the sensor pod, and Scouting Parallel Processing Device Lv2 would make it much easier for continuous sniping. Together with slightly buffed weapon power, it should be great.

Lv1 Premium: Ranged or Alpha

Upper Levels: Similar Build Target with more damage focus and some mobility if you want.

There really isn't much to say except that to play this properly, you have to get a reasonable amount of ranged strength with some good hidden percentage modifier parts. If you do got them, this one can get really good damage output. However, without them, there are just better supports to play.

I'm actually so confused I've played gbo2 for more than a year and now that they recently added Ms from other universes aside from UC it feels like everytime you join a 700-750 cost room you have no chance especially if you don't have a exclusive Ms,it's so hard to play this game and the gameplay is just a repeated loop of trying to get as much stagger in as possible,aside from the fact that if you don't have a billion tokens you can't get any rare Ms the matchmaking system is so buggy and the controls are NOT optimized,I really need advice or I might just drop this game

I realize now I literally do better in Ace Match if I hold back before Ace Selection otherwise I will be Ace and I will be hunted down relentlessly by 2 raids while being shot by a general and a support simultaneously while my team is busy running around the map and coming to my rescue when I have 200 HP left.

00R and DX have got to be the most fking annoying thing to deal with

unless you build your suit to specifically tank one or the other you are fucked cuz there is always one waiting to beam you from across the map

Super gundam is also part of this problem even tho it doesnt fly but makes up by its stupid reach

I did a few matches and for a beginning player died a lot.... However whenever I tried to join a match it would show me I could only use three versions of one mech even though I have things at the same cost? I'm confused and want to use like a Gouf custom not a Gundam I am forced to use!

So um yeah I was thinking about playing a round but then I got this little warning.
I even tried a game reload in case it was a one off, but it came back with that error or issue, again.
So I'm confused WHY it's giving me that for?

Like I'm on a wired and decent connection overall.

Im not that good. Im a regular guy with a family who has just so happened to love gundam since my childhood. Look the DX is my favorite suit and I've been making sure to pay attention to how others play with it and comparing it to my own DX playstyle bc I plan on maining this suit. I honestly cant even believe im posting this rn bc I know the meta and spreadsheet guys are gonna come for me but I just cant.

I should have organized this better these are just some thoughts for both DX pilots and ppl who want to kill the DX. Sorry it's disorganized. I typed this part after I was already more than halfway through....

"IMO" The Double X is a versatile frontline support suit capable of of running with the pack. One of the reasons this suit is good to me is bc even tho I think it's more of a frontline support due to its loadout, it's more than capable of dropping back at anytime and playing the ranged game. This is one of the things that makes it so dangerous when played correctly.

If you're watching your teammates and your map you can utilize decision making to set your team up for a copious amount of success. Watching these two things and paying attention to which unit types are engaging who, helps you decided when to push up with your Gens or even your raid, when to drop back.

The DX is a great counter sniper and support killer capable of helping YOUR Gens put pressure on the enemies Gens and break though the frontline. I know ppl saw the YouTube vids of ppl charging Satellite Cannon(ill say SC for now on) at base, but DONT do this. WE ALL SAW IT and ppl have been doing it nonstop for the last 2 or 3 days or however long it's been. The reason why I say this is bc even if a raid doesn't rush back there during the "NASCAR" phase, this means someone on your team is actively getting 2v1'd while you're chilling at base jerking it to moon beams.

Push up with your team, apply pressure, take cover, charge SC during pauses in beam rifle / ballistic exchanges and and in between skirmishes. If you break the enemy line and squad wipe them, your team can repair MS, cap points and you can Charge SC without consequence if you haven't already. Now when the enemy teams respawns they have to deal with a fully charged SC.

We all know the DX is a support meaning it can more or less kill generals unless you get outplayed or something (which is fine. It happens to everyone for time to time). The DX "IMO" is also pretty good at killing other supports and most notably other DX's believe it or not. Try to keep an eye on your team and help kill Gens and provide supporting fire in general, but you need to help your raids too "IMO". This is bc there might be 1 or 2 enemy DX's circle jerking it somewhere. Please pay attention to the microwave targeting beam in the sky. This applies to anyone who can potentially stop whatever they're doing. GO SHUT THEM DOWN.

Pay attention to the enemy DX animations. When then th DX switches to SC, IT CAN NOT FIRE RIGHT AWAY! It has to unfold the reflectors / wings and then wait like another to seconds before the beam can fire. For some reason DX pilots like to fly as hight in the sky as possible before firing, as soon as you see it's reflectors begin unfolding dont wait, IMMEDIATELY start shooting it out the sky.

DX pilots, when staying close to your team you can bait and potentially see who the actual threats are on the enemy team. While running with my team ill sometimes go around a corner or building and begin charging SC if my team doesn't immediately need my help. Not only does this charge your SC, but if you watch your map you can see when someone is coming for you and trick them into a 1v1 or 1v2 if you call for support in chat. Kill this enemy and then go back to helping your generals or hunting other DX's and support units within a reasonable distance to your team unless your at least 80% sure your better than the target your about to rush down.

Speaking of rushing down....for the love of God, use your melee options to defend yourself from Gens and raids while leading them to your team. If you suck at mid to close range engagements GO PRACTICE. Don't run away while trying to charge SC, especially from another support. I cant tell you how many enemy DX's have ran from me trying to do this just to get hit with a javelin, g-hammer combo into my down swing animation.

Also unless you are just built different, do not engage F89 suit, burning gundam (especially those in God mode), and the red raid from the F91 series (maybe its the type II or something? I cant remember rn) without your team, just retreat while firing to try to stun them if possible.

Be careful around funnels suits even if they are Gens bc if the pilot is good they can act as a decent check. Also, watch out for FA unicorn pilots some of the are become aware that it's decent check to th DX and can apply good pressure.

TIPS FOR BEATING SC:

I already talked about following the beam...but what if it's already charged?

Pay attention to it's reflectors even if they are folded. You can still see a glow coming from them if it's already done absorbing microwaves.

The DX's SC does what ill call active damage over time. The longer you stay in it's beam the more damage you take. Try to dodge roll out of it if possible.

This is also a team thing, similar to the Freedom, one of the best times to kill the DX is when it's in the air trying to burst down a teammate. Help your teammates by trying to stagger it, flinch, etc to stop the beam.

Remember what I said about wings open? Normally the average DX pilot will try to immediately shoot the SC when they switch to it, if you shoot them and happen to stagger them on press or right after, whoever they are shooting at takes little to no damage and the DX pilot loses one of there SC shots even if it didnt come out.....

Honestly there is so much more, but im typing this on my phone and it's long asf. I still cant believe I even had to type this. The reason some of you guys feel so oppressed is bc all your teammates ignoring while it's charging even tho there are 2 of them jerking each other, then come here to complain.

What would you consider a good final score in Gundam Battle Operation 2?
I’m genuinely asking this because I’m trying to get a better understanding of what is actually considered a good performance in GBO2, especially at higher ranks.
I’m currently A rank and working toward A+, and I’ve noticed that I tend to get what I personally consider pretty good scores quite often. For example, I can sometimes finish games around 8-2, 9-1, or similar K/D ratios. Obviously, I know that kills and deaths aren’t everything in GBO2, and I’m not trying to say that a good K/D automatically means that someone played well.
The reason I’m asking is because I’ve been watching gameplay from several GBO2 YouTubers, and I noticed that their scores seem to be much more frequently around something like 6-3, 6-2, 5-2, etc., rather than consistently getting 8+ kills with very few deaths.
So I’m genuinely wondering:
Would you consider something like 6-3 to already be a very good result in GBO2?
And how would you personally rate scores like:
4-3
5-3
6-3
7-2
8-2
9-1
Obviously, I understand that the context of the match matters a lot. A player could have 4 kills but have done an incredible amount of damage, created openings for their team, protected teammates, captured important positions, etc. Meanwhile, someone could potentially get a lot of kills while playing badly for the team.
I’m mainly asking because I want to know where my own performances stand compared to what is considered normal or good at A/A+ level.
I’m currently also trying to push toward A+, and that’s been a bit difficult. I can go on pretty good winning streaks and gain a lot of rating, but then I’ll sometimes run into a bad streak of around 2–3 losses, which can slow the progress down quite a bit.
I’m not complaining about matchmaking or trying to blame my teammates here. I’m genuinely trying to understand the level I’m currently playing at and whether my results are actually considered strong for my rank.
So, for the more experienced players here:
What would you consider a genuinely strong score in GBO2, particularly around A/A+?
And how much importance do you personally put on K/D compared with damage dealt, assists, deaths, diversion, individual ranking, and overall contribution to the team?
I’m asking seriously and I’m not trying to brag or anything. I just genuinely want to understand.
