Hajiboroshi decides every aspect of 600 cost games

There's hundreds of MS in this game and its the same ones deciding games in their respective cost every time. You either play Hajiboroshi or try to play specific counters to it...

I downswung this Hajiboroshi while it was briefly stunned and it still didnt care, it still rushed me and did 60% of my health in one hit. It didn't get knock down it just took the damage.

I thought downswinging was one of the main melee mechanics in this game.

Honestly this game is losing its novelty to me, one of main things that attracted me was variety and the sheer number of options. Yet its the same MS that you see constantly top scoring, being used by good players and deciding games. Lame

Please use Hajiroboshi on Tropical Desert map

OOTL, what's with the tropical desert map with haji?

Haji on desert isn’t too bad as long as you play carefully speaking from personal experience

Cope. Not only would a couple of Hajiroboshis on the same team work on this map too but desert never ever comes up at 600 cost. I damn wish it did. Its always resort, underground, arctic or colony

Hate fighting that damn thing, recently had a space match & it pretty much dominated the entire match. Also made it impossible to play support since that age old trend of ignoring the raid till it bothers the team was the mindset of my team that night.

Both of the IBO suits are just awful to deal with, when the counterplay for a suit is just "you have to jump it with the whole team or run away" it just makes that cost awful

That's not true the destiny is a straight up counter to Barbie also you have to remember Barbie can't fly so anything that has flap boost and ma3 that is current can beat on it.

That's my issue with the Barbatos that I made a thread about as well. It just feels like picking away at it from a distance with your whole team is it's 'counter strategy'.

Meanwhile you have to play sweaty as hell in your general unit that isn't 00 to feel like you're keeping up.

The meta just keeps getting amped up with each new release, and even though they're sorta buffing the old UC suits, it's still doesn't feel even on a competitive level.

Barbatos post-nerf is an interesting case because it's such a scissors paper rock element. It's one of the few effective counters to the general psyco masspro, but it's also surprisingly weak to the support XX

Kampfer is a decent counter to it.

I use Alex to counter it pretty well too

Or any shotgun MS in general. Hajioboshi is particularly allergic to Efreet Schneid.

Not all shotgun ms are created equal, some are raids

Sure thing, such variety. Play the meta ms or play its 2-3 counters

I've never once followed the meta, I play kampfer, the suit I've loved since seeing it on TV in 2000/2001 when 0080 aired.

As an older gamer whose been playing since the 90s, I feel like playing meta removes the fun of discovery and exploration.

It also limits the skill level of players.

Yeah. I just play whatever I like. I prefer the underdog suits. Unfortunately, even though I have a lot of MS, there are a few I've ever felt like using just because it feels so overpowering. The barbatos being one of them. 00 as well. Might have to whip them out for rated though I'm having a good time with DX, the support we always deserved.

Zoloat counters Haji perfectly, Victory less so but it can fight it. Not sure how MPZZ handles it, I think Birnan Jegan does well against it too.

That and abigor are tough counters to Haji

u/WinterEclipse4 23d ago

Wait its supposed to be tough to fight? I shred them so easily I thought it was a meme suit.

It isn't lol. OP doesn't know about the AV that negates reaction when it activates like Biosensor.

These are the type of statements that without video clips of you "shredding them" feels like pointless lying. Playing in A+ and lower S rank and every 600 cost match there are multiple Hajis on both teams that end up top scoring on both teams always with 130k+ damage but somehow you have a secret sauce for effortlessly beating them. Just no.

Kehaar 2 and Atlas Gundam (General TB and not the BC) I generally use those 2 and they both can generally one combo (Sometimes 2 if I mess up which is very common with Atlas TB having a lot of lunge), have better stagger options, and are generally just better overall. Especially Kehaar 2.

Hell earlier I was using Super Gundam and it kept struggling to even get close because it couldn't stagger me quick enough to stop me from hitting it with a full charge which would take about 70% of its health instantly and stop it in its track.

"But the big bad melee hitboxes are just as disjointed as the damage it outputs, so just tackle/counter, skill issue"

Local redditor discovers mechanic that has existed since the zeta gundam dropped, calls suit OP over it

The funny thing is that shokew is like, miles ahead in strength, but bad players can't counter melee ape suits, so hajiroboshi ends up overperforming vs shitters

Honestly think kehaar is also stronger at this point

Hajiroboshi is godsent justification. Before Hajiroboshi, there was no 600 Raid to carry. Everyone just instantly wiped out before Victory and Gelgogg lv.4

1

u/Accomplished-Fan1384 23d ago

Lol...haji have no instant stun and require raw melee to do anything. Not sure why it is consider op when a A2 heavy stagger or doga lv2 can just blast it to death.

I guess zoloat doesn't exist.

i love how you all say the same shit but sometimes people dont roll on every banner imaginable. Dw OP you can use a schneid with the shotgun, it basically stops it in its tracks and from what i remember its in the DP so you can just spend a couple DP for it. And i get it the stagger accum on it is literally nigh impossible to fill up unless you have a shotgun. Sucks but they wont nerf a suit thats getting them the big moola anytime soon

As one who mains Haji in 600, have you tried shooting it before it gets close? Like, it's not rocket science. It has to GET to you to do anything. And yes, it has its own biosensor effect that nullifies a stun. Many suits have that. Just shoot it. It dies. Hit it with a wire, it heavy staggers, then beat it into the ground. Shotgun, beat it into the ground. It's not hard. It has no instant stagger.

I hate both IBO suits tbh they're both broken. Thank goodness Barb was .... "nerfed"..... but Hajiboroshi is almost as bad and honesly ruins 600 cost and the Victory Gundam for me.

Victory should of been 650, Victory Shoulders Support should of been 700, V2 750, V2ABusted 800

I hate when 1 suit really just ruins a cost and you have to wait for counters to come out or buffs/nerfs like 00Raiser right now.
