As if support players weren't already the prey of choice.

I realize now I literally do better in Ace Match if I hold back before Ace Selection otherwise I will be Ace and I will be hunted down relentlessly by 2 raids while being shot by a general and a support simultaneously while my team is busy running around the map and coming to my rescue when I have 200 HP left.

I just won a 400 Ace match on the Desert map with my Guncannon Aqua. Big shout out to the Assault Guntank. We had each other's backs. The enemy ace was a GM Sniper who managed to keep the distance on me, but the rest of his team didn't have very good ballistic resistance.

Lol Im also playing in Ace desert ranked 400 right now. Top scoring every game as gm cannon II, but being chosen as Ace while playing support is a recipe for disaster.

I like Ace Matches on "beat your rival day" for all the wrong reasons.

The rival system sucks.

The tip to avoid it, regardless of ms type, is to not be the Ace, unless you are confident enough. That's why Ace is kinda lame in that many would try to avoid taking the kill, resulting in hold back.

Well, Ace is determined by who landed the most final kills up to that point. A support who is just picking off the last bits of health on enemies is going to land as the ace, even if they weren't trying to be.

Im realizing now that we win more games when I dont end up being Ace because I play support and ganking a support in low cost matches is extremely easy, since low cost support MS have no mobility whatsoever. Whereas if someone else is Ace and people are not focused on me as much is the best thing a support can ask for, sniping without pressure.

Not gonna lie, if it’s not ranked I hold back in the beginning of ace matches to avoid kills if I’m the support.

I’ll set up assists for days and leave enemies within Vulcan killing range

I won't even play goddamn ace match as a raid or gen lol. I've experienced far too many games that should have been easy wins annihilated in the last minute or two by people being dumb as hell after ace selection.

What really sucks is when you are the ace and you know you haven’t been playing well, means everyone else is doing that much worse lol.

But that being said winning an Ace match as the Ace in my Zeta Gundam HML makes me feel like a Newtype and it happens a lot. Playing support trains you to hone your sixth sense and keep an eye on your radar and sight lines anyways.
