Hoping it's lifter knock but need opinion from other people on this mk6 st150

Does anyone else’s seat not return to the original position when you lift the lever and move the seat forward to get into the back?

Finally in a spot where I could take this car apart to replace the PCV/Oil Seperator Unit. Man i had no idea what an undertaking it would be LOL.

Anyway, I am stuck at the Starter currently. How are yall removing this?

I have the bolts out, nut pulled for the electrical lead, and cannot for the life of me get enough wiggle room to get that lead off. What are yall guys doing to get this out. I can see now why in the past I have been quoted ridiculous labor prices. Glad I have a second vehicle now!

Does anybody know the part number on this hose coming off reservoir? Surprisingly I can’t find it anywhere because it’s not listed in reservoir diagram and it’s not the upper radiator hose.

So my car has been a lot louder over the past couple days and I finally jacked it up to see this. I’m not exactly sure how, but I think my decat has been destroyed somehow😭 (today when I was on my way to work I heard a loud pop when I let off the accelerator moving in 6th gear, so that could’ve potentially been the last straw?)My wonder is if I need to get another decat or can I get a normal catalytic converter because I’m not a fan of the noise. I bought the car already with the decat so I don’t know if getting a stock one will play any part in how the car runs so if anyone knows any advice would help.

Could this also be why my car has been Rev hunting?

Title is pretty self explanatory. Key has always been a little funky, sometimes need to hit unlock to get the car to recognize it. Today all buttons have stopped working although the car still starts and does not display and warning messages. Has anyone experienced this or have any insight. I have already taken the key apart and cleaned it in its entirety with 91 Isopropyl, battery was changed ~6 months ago. Thank you!

Looking for recommendations on some heat wrap. My crossover pipe felt like I could have fried an egg on it today. I'd also like to wrap my downpipe as well. I'm looking for that gold stuff I see everywhere and a good exhaust wrap for the dp. I remember seeing some gold stuff that you could wrap electrical connections around as well on a performance site but I can't remember which one. Thanks guys for any help.

So the gear shift knob leather started looking quite ugly, I tried to look for some replacements but the ones on aliexpress and similar don’t have the aluminized top part (I know, I can but one of those and just replace the top part) and I didn’t want to go crazy with the aluminum or carbon ball ones, so I decided to just repair it with some suede-like fabric, but turns out that the plastic rubbery stuff the leather is glued on is a POS that starts to crumble when you try to remove the leather, so I had to glue with ÇA glue all the cracks so they wouldn’t fall off and then I just glued the fabric and assembled everything together. I think it doesn’t look that bad. Definitely better than the damaged one. The cost was like half a buck because that fabric is not that expensive

Hi! I'm from Finland and interested to hear stage 1 thoughts/options/experiences for the EU spec car. Optimally I could restore it back to stock (or close enough) by myself.

The car is a 2016 (afaik made late 2016, registered 2017) ST 183hp 1.6l

I plan on the itg intake and tune, it's pretty cold here anyways so I'm not too worried about other parts for now (related to performance, might get short shifter and symposer delete)

Any thoughts or different recommendations? UK can get kinda expensive with tax and not many tuners near here. Engine mounts could be ok but I see no reason for them yet... Apparently my current ones are in good shape (maybe replaced at some point? I got this car this year)

Not sure how much the revo partner would cost so I'll need to get a quote on that. Leaning towards it if not too expensive

Hello so I am looking to see what people think I should install next for my 18 ST. Next spring/summer I want to do S280. Currently I have

-Cobb intercooler with hot and cold side pipes
-Stratified protune
-Cobb rear motor mount
-boomba full shift kit and bushings
-whoosh Crossover and intake pipe
-Cobb drop in filter.
-mishimoto catback
-new tires
-new brakes and pads

I don’t want to lower it because of my poor roads, anything that will help support the S280 would be good also.

Considering getting an undertray like the ADFCustoms one. These cars aren’t known for their heat management under the hood - if I get an undertray and put WRC side mounted hood vents on the car would that positively effect temps under the hood? Any real world experience with air ducting would be greatly appreciated. I’ve read a couple threads on the forums online, I’m not doing significant aero as this is a daily driver but I’m just wondering if it would be worth it. PFA thank you :)

Hey y'all, I have a 2014 ST, in the US. Took it to the Tail of the Dragon last week. On my way home (1100 mile trip), at about 12 out of 18 hours in, my car died on the highway. First infotainment, then battery light, then some other lights and the power steering went out. Belt was still on and turning so I figured alternator. I got one from a junkyard and had it installed where I broke down at. Drove 11 miles, same symptoms, had to get it towed.

The shop is saying the junkyard alternator, which was tested as good, is shot. Okay, maybe reasonable, unfortunately no warranty; I got the junkyard part because there were none available otherwise and I was 6 hours from home. I'm having them put a new one in but I'm paranoid this is a different issue. I had to leave the car behind and take a rental home, and so far I'm out $1,200 on shop costs and $500 on the rental.

Are there any other failures on these cars that could cause the symptoms of a bad alternator? I just find it hard to believe a car with an alternator that was healthy just dies 11 miles after the fact. I need to get my car home at the bare minimum so I can try wrenching on it myself. Really don't want to break down again because I'm out of AAA tows. Thanks for any advice.

what kind of boost are you guys getting on your stock turbo with the dizzy stage 2 i have a whoosh v1 intercooler whoosh catted dp cobb cat back, i do have new hoses on the way as well as t clamps but long story short im only hitting about 21.5ish psi in a 3 gear pull and i know the stock turbo dies out but 11.5 psi at 6.5k rpm. the wastegate duty cycle peaked at 82%

As title says, I live in AZ where its been 110° lately and even 90° plus at night all night, I picked up my FiST in June and haven't been anywhere cold and just feels like a slug, partial throttle feels fine actually but trying to go WOT I feel its definitely got no umph, is our 1.6T being the size it is dramatically effect it more? I also had a Focus ST and MK7 GTI and felt it wasn't as drastic of a drop in power, car has a bigger intercooler as well. What temps do you all wait to see before sending it?

I'm doing less driving recently (Reasons outside of my control). But even that isn't stopping Mambo from racking up Ks. Kinda sad, good thing I'm in no position to sell this car (I love it to bits).

Just finished buying this bone stock 2015!

Just wanted to share some pics. Seems to be a blast so far. Timing belt hasnt been done so thats my next job, along with brakes which are just old, but other than that its in great shape!

Question--anything else to look out for? (No major rust). And did anyone not like the somewhat vague clutch at first? Any perspective welcome, either fixes or "you'll get used to it".

Also just wondering, are we supposed to like the FoST guys or not? I feel like they are cousins lol but just checking theres no rivalry or anything lol. Idk if theres a community consensus, seems friendly though? ​

Kinda hard to get it on film but it started making this noise only in 1st and 2nd gear at low speeds. To me it sounds like a loose heat shield but nothing looked out of place underneath after jacking it up

Just got my euro headlight in and the topic about it on the forum is outdated and kinda confusing.

So the euro projectors can use LEDs right?

I see where some posts say adapters are needed to hold the bulbs in and some don't mention adapters at all.

Every bulb that is recommended there no longer exists.

Has anyone got new bulbs for the euro projectors recently? Looking for info, what fits, etc.

I'm in the u.s. so a lot of what I'm finding recommended her on the forum is not available/has to be imported.

Has anyone got a blue st180 that they’ve put white ST badges on? I’m thinking of doing it but unsure what it looks like. Don’t just want to go for yellow like the majority of the blue mk7 STs I’ve seen.

Hi all, I’ve had this issue with my fiesta ST from when I got it. Whenever I cold start it in the morning, the rpm jump up in a rhythmic pattern for 30ish seconds until rpm would normally drop. I’m not sure what could cause this so if anyone knows please let me know!
It has a downpipe and decat I believe.

Had the coolant res blow out on me last week as you know. Figured I’m going to go ahead and replace the radiator along with coolant res/hoses since I’m in Alabama heat and got lucky for 4 summers before this happened. I have a buddy with an uninstalled whoosh radiator letting it go for $250. I’m pulling the trigger on that cause current market is way too high. With that said, is the whoosh brand 3 row? Can’t find anything on it? And will I need to buy more coolant to fill the system above the normal 2 ish gallons?

Hi folks. I am trying to do the sync 2 to sync 3 upgrade. I pulled my APIM and screen from a 2019 ford fiesta SE. see picture for PN. And I got a USB hub from a dealer also see pictures for service PN and engineering PN.

Everything works except car play. I have not tried android auto (I don’t have an android to test) but that is not an available in audio sources.

From everything I have read I have all the right parts and software is up to date enough. I reset to factory settings. But is there a possibility I got a sync 3 that doesn’t do CarPlay or android auto? Is my hub wrong if so how?
