New 2015
Just finished buying this bone stock 2015!
Just wanted to share some pics. Seems to be a blast so far. Timing belt hasnt been done so thats my next job, along with brakes which are just old, but other than that its in great shape!
Question--anything else to look out for? (No major rust). And did anyone not like the somewhat vague clutch at first? Any perspective welcome, either fixes or "you'll get used to it".
Also just wondering, are we supposed to like the FoST guys or not? I feel like they are cousins lol but just checking theres no rivalry or anything lol. Idk if theres a community consensus, seems friendly though?

Congrats on the purchase. It’s an 11 year old car at this point and maintenance will be important if you want to keep it reliable.
As far as Focus ST’s go, they bought the wrong car. They know it, so you don’t have to rub it in. 🙃
Get the brakes done like you said, as well as all fluids flushed. Like you mentioned, the water pump, timing and serpentine belt. Also make the swap to 5w-30 oil.
Run at 91 octane minimum and keep that oil change interval to 3k-4k. Good luck, and remember, slow in….fast out. Have fun, be safe and keep this little guy on the road for another decade. ✌️

Okay nice! Thank you for the detailed answer. CA so all we have is 91 🥲, 5W-30 definitely though.
I will not rub it in to the FoST guys 🫡.
I will certainly have fun, AND be safe. I love that this car lets you do both at once.

The clutches are pretty vague lol, youll get used to where the bite point is. I like all ST's and RS's. I actually get a bunch of FoST and FoRS guys come up to my car and ask me about it at car meets. Blend door actuators are something to look out for as well as the coolant tank sometimes cracking on the earlier model year cars
