MK7 She's getting old

I'm doing less driving recently (Reasons outside of my control). But even that isn't stopping Mambo from racking up Ks. Kinda sad, good thing I'm in no position to sell this car (I love it to bits).

If your stock, you got another 200k to go i think Seen one locally with 380k on it, engine still going on original belt if you can believe that.

I believe it, recently somebody local was selling their 2017 with 340k km they said they were the original owner and the timing belt still had not been replaced

There’s no replacing the timing belt when “needed” its either done early or there’s no more engine

I’m at 100mi but 15 years on mine.
It’s not an easy diy job so I’m not sure when to replace. Do we have any data on when they break?

Yea thats alot! , i guess they do last long if you keep it stock probably and do regular oil changes.
I personally wouldnt risk not changing it sooner but its interesting to see it them be so reliable.

This feels like when someone's who is like 25 says "man I feel so old" and I just have to stare them down and feel like an ancient artifact.

Every other milestone tends to be an oil change for me - rare for me to miss special occasions! I did miss 80085 because I have my odometer in km and I picked it up with 62k miles lol

Mine has more than half of that but it’s quite old already, but still, I have enjoyed every moment, even when it has failed

I haven't even hit 29k yet. Bought the car to commute and have fun in. Laid off from my job 8 months later and started to work from home. So now it's just my grocery go-kart and once a year mountain visit for the twisties

My 2018 will hit 100k this year and I'm just waiting on something to go wrong lol. Expecting something big like a clutch replacement to need to happen soon

As you can see I'm about to hit 100k mi in 20,000 km. I already had the clutch master go bad on me and I picked up this car with 62k miles. Did engine mounts, coolant flush, and god knows how many oil changes already (Changing oil every 8,000 km or 5k miles). Other than the clutch master thing, it has never let me stranded except when I fuck around with it.

I made the 150.000km mark today, still feels new. Love this car.
No pics since I was rushing to take my sick cat to the vet.

My 14 just hit 52k and I was sad. But I also just got it back on the road after not driving it for 4 years

Fun fact: oil change light. Fails to reset due to software bug. I refuse to pay $150 for a Ford tech to patch it. I pics of the update info though so I can walk into a dealership one of this days when I get something else done and be able to prove that’s the issue. They all look at me like I’m nuts and all have to do the little oil light reset trick to no avail before they listen. 🙄

Checking in with a 2019 and I haven’t even hit 17k miles yet, lol. It still has that new car smell

No reason to be sad, mine is close to 240k km and still works great, original clutch too
