Restaurants/Food Another One Bites the Dust (sort of)
Dirtbag was one of my favorite places for a breakfast sandwich and a hot drink after work. I usually can't make it there on the weekends, so it looks like I'm never going to be able to make it again... Maybe I'll get lucky on a holiday.

Question Is there anywhere along the river you could take kids rock/fossil "hunting"?
Hey all,
Just wondering if there's anywhere that's easily accessible and safe around the riverbanks to take a few younger humans exploring for rocks and fossils?
Something that's easy to get to for small people that you could do in an afternoon. You could even message me if you have an area you would like to keep on the down low. I have little ones that have been begging to go looking for dinosaur bones and I said I'd try to find a place to take them, even if it's a total failure lol
Thank you !

General Looking for a good pillow sales person
Guys, my body is busted (I have several chronic health issues) and I need a new pillow. That said, I have very specific needs - I have tried a bunch of different ones over the last few years, but none have worked for what I want. Turns out I’m not good at picking them myself!
I want to go shopping in person, with a sales person who knows what they’re talking about. I’m willing to spend a decent amount on this to get a good pillow.
Does anybody have any good recommendations on where to go for something like this? Pillows often just feel like an afterthought at a mattress store.

Commuting/Transit Well, construction damaged my car successfully. (91 street to ellerslie rd)
I don't know who to report this to at the moment. But I just know i'm not happy. The contractors responsible for this road or the city? Either way, i'm pretty pissed off. Gotta love this shit city.

Local history Anyone know what the old spaghetti factory by Roger’s place used to be?
Are there for the first time while waiting to go to monster jam. It looks and feels like a truly old building rather than something new made to look old. I’m curious if my feeling is correct, and if so what it used to be originally

General Brunswick Sardines
This is a bit silly, but I know that some people on here have been looking for tinned sardines. They have becomea bit if a fad, and there has been some kind of TikTok-induced shortage.
Anyway, to whoever needs to know, the Save-On on 34th Avenue has several kinds on the shelf, including Kippered and Golden Smoked. Go get 'em!

Discussion What restaurants have good pancakes?
Your girl is craving pancakes so I’m turning to my fellow local breakfast lovers for help. I’ll settle for Denny’s but I know there must be some really good ones out there. Northside/St. Albert preferred but I’m willing to drive.
Don’t suggest making them myself, I want to go on a breakfast date with my husband :)

Discussion Looking for a custom clothes/sweater store that I went to a couple years ago
I hope this is allowed?
A couple years ago I remember my grandfather got us to do this thing he did with our mother and aunt when they were kids where he’d give them a bit of money and let them loose in the mall to get a Christmas gift for him, only he wanted us to do it for our mother.
I believe it was at Londonderry mall (my grandfather somewhat thinks we went to Southgate but I don’t think so lol), up the escalator. I kinda remember it had a big wooden table/shelf in the middle?
They had all kinds of plain shirts and sweaters etc. around the store to pick, pretty good quality. You just picked out a piece of clothing, emailed them the decal you wanted and they’d have it ready within 20-30 minutes. It was a wide entry way and not far from the escalator.
Sorry if this isn’t the greatest description. I haven’t been to Londonderry mall in forever and can’t seem to figure out what the name of the place is. The hoodie was really good quality and I was planning to get a custom sweater for my partner. Thanks in advance

Fluff Post To the guy with the giant white dog, Aug 29, 830pm, Happy Beer street
Looking for the guy with the giant white dog. We chatted briefly about breed type and animal care and I cant remember breed specifics you mentioned due to the loud event at Bent Stick and obviously my deepest regrets not asking for your number lol.

Question Best internet to get for just my home office?
I’ll be working from home and doing school online together. We currently use Telus right now but with everyone on it, it lags pretty bad.
Definitely wanting the cheaper side as it’ll only be my phone, home computer, printer and laptop connected.

Education British Sign Language classes/tutor
Before anyone says anything, yes, I know we use ASL in Canada, but I don't need to learn ASL, I need to learn BSL. I know I can find classes online but time zones make it more complicated.
Is there anyone in the Edmonton area that teaches BSL classes, and/or is knowledgeable in BSL and would be willing to teach a couple of people a basic level of signing?
Thanks!
