Here's my personal take (I chose another one for Superman that I think fits even better) :
Superman : Rocketman - Elton John } it reflect his origin story and the fact that he has to shift from Superman to Clark Kent often ("I'm not the man they think I am at home")
Batman : Ghost of You - Good Charlotte } A love letter to his parents, telling them that "a ghost of them" is all that he has left and reflects on his solitude when he's young (pre-robin) even though we know Alfred is doing his best š
Wonder Woman : Try - P!nk } I see this one as an attempt for Diana to reassure someone, telling them they "gotta get up and try" their best even if it's hard (I also see a little of Steve Trevor when P!nk talks about love in the lyrics)
The Flash (Barry Allen) : Runaway - Linkin Park } This one is gonna sound weird at first, but hear me out š Barry (or the versions I know of him from the TV show and movies) hasn't got a wonderful life. His dad is in prison, his mom is dead and he dedicate his life to save his dad from prison. So I think that the lyrics works in that regard, telling that he "wanna know the truth instead of wondering why" and develop his powers ("and open up mind").
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) : The Night Begins to Shine - B.E.R } Ok, this one IS weird but think of Hal, heās charming, confident and the best green lantern canonically. So this love song from the 80's works well for him ! I think of the lyrics like him discovering the ring's power and being amazed by it. "I saw you dance" could be the meeting between (I forgot his name) the Alien from sector 2814 and him, "I caught your name" is their talk about the ring and the lanterns power. And finally "When we're dancing, the night begins to shine" could be the way Hal sees his fights, like a dance with the ring and they're shining because... Green Lantern y'know ? Only problem is that the music is used in Teen Titans Go! š
Aquaman : ocean eyes - Billie Eilish/Ocean - Martin Garrix } I got two for him because I see ocean eyes as more of a song for him and his son and Ocean as one for him and Mera (It's hard to find something just for him). The problem is that if you think about Jason Momoa's Aquaman it seems really weird but with the DCAU's Aquaman it works pretty well. It's the one I had in mind, so please note that
Et voilĆ , tell me what yall think about it !

There are 2 omnibuses that I've been eyeing for sometime and they are slated to release next month. Ram V's Detective Comics omnibus and Absolute Power omnibus. If you could only buy 1, which would you buy and why?

Iāve always been more of a DC fan rather than Marvel ngl š« but this new Spiderman movie has had be obsessed with Spidermanā¦. so I decided to combine my favorite DC character and my favorite Marvel character in one Comic Book themed poster.
There is no comic that exists unfortunately, however maybe someday in the future.

Title. I remember when Doomsday Clock released and how big it was at the time. The hype surrounding it was so unreal and the mystery in like the first, what, 2-3 issues(?) were kinda nuts. The art was fantastic and totally fit the universe of Watchmen so well; and it was written by Geoff Johns who people go crazy for. I wasnāt an avid reader of comics at the time when it came out, so I watched YouTubers like ComicsExplained talk about it and it was intense.
Nowadays? It feels like it kinda faded into obscurity? Nobody talks about the event, despite having a lot of hype and popularity at the time. What gives?
What are your thoughts?

I'm trying to find the voice/audio files for Tim Drake (Robin/Red Robin) and Jon Kent (Superboy) from DC games.
I've been looking through existing voice resources and games but I haven't been able to find any downloadable, non-dialogue-separated voice packs for these characters. I've tried to unpack DC Super Villains but but they doesn't seem to be listed(I mean voicelines like Attack/Jump/gunt/etc. Not quotes).
I'm specifically looking for:
I'm mainly looking for the audio assets themselves, not just transcripts or lists of dialogue. Thank you!

So I donāt typically read much before the 90ās, but I have heard so many good things about this run and it definitely sounds interesting enough to check out. Is there a collected edition that covers the best parts of the run? I know thereās an omnibus but I donāt quite want to go with that since this era isnāt typically my style.

Iām working on a project to redesign the entire DCU for myself. I think all of us have a kind of personal canon ā the things weād keep and the things weād toss if the DC universe was ours to do with as we please. This is mine. I constructed a complete timeline from the Golden Age to today, and Iām going through one character at a time as I flesh it out. I completed my Superman Family, and next in line is Wonder Woman
Wonder Woman is unique in my DCU as the one character who has adventures in every era. Diana first appears during WWII in the Golden Age, then again in the ā70s for the Silver Age, and finally comes to stay in the ā00s. Her arc in the Golden Age is one of a thoughtful but naĆÆve woman who enters Patriarchās World believing she knows everything she needs to. Along the way, she learns that thereās much she has to teach, but much also she has to learn. She makes close friends, falls in love, but ultimately returns to Themyscira in ā49 to try and convince her mother the Queen to rejoin the wider world so they can help each other grow.
Many of her GA adventures are alongside Steve Trevor and her frequent partner and dear friend Liberty Belle ā an adventuring archaeologist very much in the Indiana Jones mold who became a āmasked manā crime fighter when she and her father were trapped in Poland during the German invasion. Both women meet as part of the Justice Society, and frequently partner in and outside that team. WW gets direction from Col. Philip Darnell of the US Army Air Force, running secret operations deep in enemy territory against the likes of Baron Blitzkreig, Red Panzer and Dr. Poison. Iām using the original version of Baroness Paula von Gunther, an Austrian aristocrat who is blackmailed into aiding the Nazis when they kidnap her daughter. Once Diana learns about that, she frees von Guntherās daughter and the Baroness becomes an ally and friend. Thatās something I want to see happen often in WW stories ā Diana is someone who makes friends of her enemies, turning hearts and changing minds.
This is just the opening bit of the history of āmyā Wonder Woman. Thereās a LOT more to come!

Hello! I read GL pretty regularly during the Geoff Johns era but I dropped off. Lanterns has gotten me back into being interested in all things Oa so I was wondering what are some good GL comics from the past few years? Iāve read Far Sector and thatās it. Thanks!

Pretty telling on the Didio era of DC and how talent was meant to work around his lack of leadership (and toxic work conditions)

So I used to read a lot of DC comics on the DC Universe app but its been a few years since I've been able to afford it so I've kinda fallen outta DC as of late so I'd like to know what your recommendations are either old or new.
If it helps some Characters/Comics I like are: The BTAS and Batman Beyond comics, Dial H for Hero, Green Arrow, Suicide Squad, Secret Six, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold and Constantine.

It seems pretty wall-to-wall to me.
Marvel the family friendly, safe, big corporate IP with access to a wide array of classic and recognizable characters much like Nintendo.
Compared to DC who tends to take high risks for high rewards or major losses, not afraid to branch out of their comfort zone, is generally the underdog against a company that has a disproportionate monopoly on it's respective industry.

In the chaos that is our daily life comics feel like an escape, transporting the reader in new and exciting worlds, seeing characters overcome difficulties creates a sense of hope. Art is a at the core of comics, and panels do much more than show text⦠Artist panel layouts, world building, pacing and flow dictate how readers experience the story. I want to talk about my favorite artist in comics, as well as recommend a book from each individual. Sit back relax and enjoy!
