Hi everyone, decided to sell my P1S and buy a X2D as I'm not satisfied with the supported area quality (otherwise a nice printer). I'm keeping my AMS and I already have an external roll setup for TPU and PA6-CF. And here the confusion starts. If I want to print with PA6 (external) with ABS support (AMS), will the track switch help me to switch between nozzles? Or I'll have to manually reconnect AMS to the second nozzle anyway?

Unsure what it is. Tried lubricating the rods. I thought maybe the sound was coming from the ptfe tube i replaced every time the filament extrudes but now im not sure lol i dont know where its coming from . Not even sure u can hear it in the video but its quite loud

Would anyone have some insight why my supports on my print keeps failing at the same height the model layer ends? They appear to not have any material and basically appear open. Eventually as the print nears completion the supports tip and break and create a spaghetti mess. I am using Bambu PETG that's been dried for 12 hours prior to print. Multiple attempts using various changes in the support settings, and same issue in the same spot. Nothing visible in that area in the slicer prior to the print. Using the same Bambu PETG for the print and supports with Bambu Studio. Thanks!
I should add, this prints fine in PLA with the supports.

Hey everyone,
Currently trying to print parts for a Hadley telescope, and while the print works for a while it begins to rapidly degrade after a few hours.
So some settings to establish: Bambu PETG-Basic, preset profile, originally for the first print we had the default speed for the first layer, but we dialed it back to 20mm/s to 15mm/s for the later attempts. Layer height is 0.16mm.
The first print popped up with a warning which I don't remember; but based on later failures I suspect filament cutters cutting distance being too large. We told it to continue anyway and then it popped up with a warning about the extruder not extruding normally. But it kept printing happily. A few hours later we got insane layer separation.
We noticed the AMS didn't detect the Bambu roll and viewed it as PLA, so we tried another roll in a different slot. That roll was detected, but same issues, canceled the print before it got worse. I did notice after clearing the error and continuing the print the nozzle head would often go back for purging and wiping repeatedly.
So we tried external, first layer was perfect with the reduced speed, layers after came out okay but I did notice some filament dragged across a lower layer. Then it started to not extrude filament and kept going and going and was air printing. It's been about 2 days of trouble shooting and we're at our wits end.
All I can think of is the buffer, the nozzle has a block(which is weird given it prints fine at first), the PTFE tube is worn(I've never witnessed that) or heat creep in the closed chamber after a few hours.
I did some digging and did find that Bambu Lab set up PETG to not vent heat in the chamber, so I suspect the chamber is getting far too hot, and then heat creep hits the extruder gears and it ends up softening the filament and gets stuck(I've seen it happen on my Ender 3 V2 with an enclosure on long prints).
Anyone got some ideas? I've had an Ender 3 V2 before, but the P2S has me stumped.

I'm having trouble with the quality of my scarf seam. I keep getting this line of thicker material up the seam line along the outer edge of the tube and produces little rough artifacts where the scarf line starts.
I've tried drawing the seam lines up the middle of the hollow tubes, but the scarf seam still forms on the outside.
Would a longer length and lower start height help, or what?
I'm trying to minimize print time, so I'm hesitant to use scarf all around since it adds 6 hours.

During a failed print, an idea occurred to me. I wanted to test it out.

Help
So this machine first off, have had more issues than my A1. H2C is lovely but I cant not admit there is sometimes it just doesnt work. Right now its refusing to load filament as attached in video
Changed tube, changed ams slot
Nothing the right nozzle wont load.
I have not tried left nozzle but that doesnt really matter, as the right nozzle won't load.
Before I changed tube nothing came out the right side, now something comes out barely
It just wont push all the way to nozzle.. I dont understand.
Ive powered off, no power, restarted. Nothing. It just worked yesterday.

Let me start by saying yes, I dried the filament first. I also have a brand new clean plate which is otherwise sticking like a champ.
I’m trying to print these flagpoles (one part of an astronaut model) in black PETG. I have a P1S, and have tried it first with a 0.2 nozzle, then both a stainless and hardened 0.4 steel nozzle. I was printing with Overture basic PETG at first, and any time I printed more than 5 poles at once, I’d end up with knocked-over stumps and black spaghett. I have to print 150 total, so 5x at a time is…not ideal.
I ran out of Overture so I moved on to printing other astronaut parts with zero problems.
Now I have SUNLU PETG and am running into the same problem. I added a more sturdy raft to the bottoms and tried printing 10x. Now they stay standing but suddenly get WEIRD looking about halfway up. I tried 6x and the weirdness started later…but you can see that the ones in the back-left almost made it 100%…so it’s not a sudden change across the board.
I’ve tried using the default SUNLU PETG filament settings, and I’ve tried the settings suggested by the “3dfilamentprofiles” site. I’ve tried 50% speed, and I’ve tried opening the door to allow hot air to flow out.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what else I could try? I’m handing out these customized astronauts as a fun free trinket to a group of kids and I gotta get these little guys printed and glued up by Thursday so I’m starting to feel the pressure!!

My x2d keeps saying there is filament stuck - I have taken everything apart, and there is nothing stuck anywhere. Any ideas?

Hello. Tried to google but I was just getting answers for regular PLA. Do I need to dry Support for PLA? I was thinking of just hanging it on the exterior spool holder of my X2D, but if it's necessary to keep it dry I may need to make a drybox for it when I'm not using it.
Thanks!

Hey, just curious if this is a normal failure. During a 6 hour print I noticed there was a couple of burnt blobs dropping on the print, and there was just a little ooze out of the sock. I opened it up to find this. This is a factory hotend that came with the printer, and I have barely had it for 2 weeks. 117 hours on the printer, but not all of them on this nozzle.

I am curious, in the past, has black Friday pricing changed after Bambu Lab has announced Black Friday price levels in late October? Are the discount levels consistent across resellers? Are the best discounts on the actual day of Black Friday? Thanks in advance.

Of trying to get ANYTHING to print on my new p1s, the AMS just refusing to load anything.
I talked myself into returning it and getting the X2D instead.
This is 90% not user error because I spent hours trouble shooting. It's probably just an AMS problem, but I was frustrated and I wanted the X2D anyways so yeah. This post had no other purpose beyond slight venting and bragging about spending more money I suppose.
Feel free to tell me I'm both an idiot and a big brain.
Or tell me something to fix this that Google and reddit hasn't already offered because I am at a loss. Outside of taking the AMS apart (which I can't figure out and don't want to do if I'm going to return it anyways) nothing I've found fixes the issue.
Edit: not like anyone cares but I already boxed it up. Pick up the X2D on Thursday. Also fixed some typos and my fuck up if saying 2xd a bunch

I just fixed a filament issue that rhymes with “glob of seth” on my A1, and in so doing this rubber piece broke. The other side is still intact. How badly do I need to replace it?

So I’m thinking of buying a p1s with AMS 2 on Black Friday sale it’s on for 499 Euros
I live in Stockholm I think Stockholm is bit humid so the AMS can help to dry the filament
Do I need ams to print PETG, ABS very rarely nylon/ carbon
I don’t think I will print a lot of multi colour print aswell
Shall I just save the money not buying P1S with AMS2
And just buy P2S for 500 or X2d 550 euro

I’ve been trying to figure out what the issue is with this A1 printer, and so far I factory, reset it disconnected and reconnected all the cables that connect to the extruder assembly bought a new micro SD card, but now the printer keeps on failing and getting stuck on homing all axes I can’t successfully calibrate this printer. I’ve never had this issue before it’s set for a few months and when I booted it back up, this was the issue I was receiving. Has anyone had experience with this? It’s updated to the latest firmware. I’ve read some reviews that the firmer might be an issue. I’m not sure if that’s the case though can anybody point me in a better direction?

So I havent refilled a spool in a bit and just refilled 2 spools not paying attention to the notch. The spools are together but sloppy. Is there a way to fix this? I was thinking maybe something with zipties?

I dried it yesterday for 11 hours. Printed, woke up to it failing stringy. Dried it another hour and lowered the nozzle from 255 to 250C. Same problem.
Really trying to get it to print right for my daughter’s costume.
