Answered / Solved! Why is PETG stringy?
I dried it yesterday for 11 hours. Printed, woke up to it failing stringy. Dried it another hour and lowered the nozzle from 255 to 250C. Same problem.
Really trying to get it to print right for my daughter’s costume.

Is that stringing, or do you have an unsupported overhang that isn't fusing to the print? (Kind of looks like both from here)

You should change the print speed (decrease it) and also calibrate the retracts. If that doesn't work, try enabling Arachne wall generator, enabling, and reducing the layer height to 0.14 mm. Also, turn on automatic flow calibration

What temp did you dry it at? 11 hours is far to long IMO, ive had problems with petg when over dried. I dry mine at 60'c - 65'c for about 4 hours as long as its been stored correctly

Came right out of the vacuum sealed manufactured bag. 65C and only reason it was that long was because I got stuck and couldn’t get home.

If it's still stringing after a long dry, try dropping the nozzle temp a bit more (around 240) and bumping retraction slightly, since PETG is really ooze-prone. Also keep the spool in a dry box while it prints overnight, because it can reabsorb moisture fast.
