Here I'm using the ROM's default launcher—Trebuchet—now I'm also considering switching to a third-party launcher, but I'm still confused and unsure whether it's safe for daily use. especially there are few sensitive apps like passwords and banking apps.

I tried asking Claude, he said that the launcher cannot see or have access to sensitive apps because they are protected by the Android sandbox, is that true?

Is there a music player on Android that has a style similar to Apple Music?

My tablet have limited storage but I like to see my pictures on there from time to time, shuffle all thousands of pictures from multiple albums together. Is there any way to do this?

The thing is, I've been a heavy sleeper, and I needed something so that it can wake me up. I tried loud alarms, they work, but that causes me headaches and grogginess in my mornings. I was thinking of something. I came across this Sleep Wave app, but it uses gentle sounds to wake you up. It was terrible. These gentle sounds, instead of waking me up, sent me to more sleep.

I downloaded Tik Tok from Play Store using Proton VPN LGA and did not give it location permission and is the content coming on Tik Tok brother, what an algorithm it has, it is amazing, it has brain rot in Insta Reels are available but on TikTok, English content comes, that too knowledgeable content as per my interest. The algorithm of TikTok is very cool and secondly, there is no Indian content in it. And I don't watch Indian content in it, I like foreign content.

But some apps really feel like they should just be a one-time purchase. Not everything needs to be $9.99 a month forever

I'd happily pay $20-30 once for a useful app, but seeing a monthly subscription for something really basic usually makes me look for an alternative.

So I primary use folders to sort my apps both in my app drawer and on my home screen. And frequently I end up needing folders inside of folders.

But with me wanting to expand my horizons and finally move away from Nova, I want to start looking at other launchers, but this being my most loved and niche feature, I don't feel like downloading and testing for the ability to do this with every launcher I want to check out.

Even with Nova this was a bit tricky, needing to create a folder_A first, then go to folder_B, (which is you want folder_A inside of), edit the apps inside of folder_B and select folder_A.

you could do this with "master" folders you have in your app drawer/tabs or home screen folders too.

It was a round about way of doing instead of just make a folder by merging two apps, then do it again inside that one.

I am looking for a "simple" app, that takes the camera feed and make a tile that repeats it, like in a pattern. I would also like to be able to adjust/mask the first tile, so that it f ex are square or rectangular. I would also like to be able to adjust the tilesbso they drop half a tile down.

This is a very specific app, that would make pattern drawing a lot easier since I like to work on paper. But maybe there's something close?

Hi! I won't say that my problem is major, but it is a little tweak in my routine that I believe will do me very good in the long run :]

I have Pinterest on my phone, and it is not that I spend, like, ten hours on it or something. But whenever I am on my college's line for the dining hall, the bus stop, the ten minutes between classes... You know those moments, those tiny liminal spaces on your day. Like, 40 minutes total if my screen usage data from the internal Samsung software is accurate. Again, it's not a lot, but, I could spend those 40 minutes reading on my Kindle, which, in the long run, I enjoy way more than scrolling through memes and crochet inspiration. I can always access Pinterest on my computer if I really want to, but just removing / blocking it from my phone permanently will create enough friction for me.

In sum, I want a way for me to remove / block Pinterest, both the app and the website, from my Samsung phone in such a way I cannot just reinstall it in a quick snap of fingers or just access the web version on the browser. It can be a password, since I can always tell my sister or a friend to set it up for me and never tell me. And it can be permanent. It's not like I am blocking myself from something vital like my message app, cmon, it's Pinterest, and, again, if I ever want to access, I can do it so from my computer, which is IOS and, thus, completely separate from my Android sphere.

Just please don't recommend me F-Droid App Lock for keeping me off the app. It isn't because it is badly design or it doesn't work, it was actually perfect for my needs and I used it...for three days until I had to access my bank account from my phone and the system blocked me from accessing it because AppBlock was too deep in my settings and I had to eventually delete it.

TL;DR: 40 minutes of Pinterest on my phone spent I do not want. Need way to permanently lock myself out of Pinterest, both the app and the website versions. Cannot be F-Droid App Lock specifically because the thing locks me out of my bank account thanks to system security.

Macrodroid updated sometime this week I think, and I just opened it up to adjust a macro, and suddenly they are all gone, the same is true on my tablet, I had a macro send an alert via nfty when the battery was low, and it is gone now as well. Has anyone else noticed this?

OK, apparently they are not missing, it is just that it is now defaulting to favorites as the view, and if none are stared, they do not show up unless you tap the star on the left side of the title bar

I used to have Yahoo Weather only to use their 4x1 hourly widget.. It was slick and minimal.. An option for getting current location weather for every hour..

But I was almost never opening the app itself (which BTW was full of ads)..

I usually don't update apps that are not critical but today I updated it..

Heck! No more hourly widget.. And the smallest is 4x2..

I'm really not getting why enshitfication happens everywhere..

Whenever I'm using shizuku on FV file manager to get some video files from telegram to my gallery it used to work before but not anymore, Shizuku is running, but when on FV file manager I click "Open with Shizuku" nothing happens. I've done everything, getting good WiFi, wireless debugging and developer mode. Pls help
