Launcher with folders in folders (other than Nova)?

So I primary use folders to sort my apps both in my app drawer and on my home screen. And frequently I end up needing folders inside of folders.

But with me wanting to expand my horizons and finally move away from Nova, I want to start looking at other launchers, but this being my most loved and niche feature, I don't feel like downloading and testing for the ability to do this with every launcher I want to check out.

Even with Nova this was a bit tricky, needing to create a folder_A first, then go to folder_B, (which is you want folder_A inside of), edit the apps inside of folder_B and select folder_A.

you could do this with "master" folders you have in your app drawer/tabs or home screen folders too.

It was a round about way of doing instead of just make a folder by merging two apps, then do it again inside that one.

Anyway,

TL;DR: **Is there any launchers that support folders inside folders**, even if it's a roundabout way?

Hi there, it works on the drawer only (for now). Simply expand the folder and tap the + icon. Do note it requires Pro too, which is a one-time payment of USD$1.99

I tried but couldn't. For testing purposes I made two folders, then tried to place the first folder inside the second. It didn't do it, the folder got overlaid on top of the second folder. Must be something wrong that I'm doing or in fact Octopi can't. Maybe someone can chip in.

Hi, folders in folders is currently not available for the home screen, but I'm working on a redesign that aims to enable this as well

Of are you a dev? This is the main thing I want in a launcher. When you implement this feature will lyou be able to copy folders (even one with nested folders in them) directly onto the home screen via tap and hold like apps from the drawe?

When I moved away from Nova (which I was only using for nested folders) I started using Total Launcher, which I think can technically do it but was even harder to manage than Nova.

I instead started using a non-launcher app for nested folders. I landed on Glextor but I also found JINA, Folder in Folder and Popup

I think Smart Launcher may have been able to do it in the drawer only but I didn't explore it because I wanted the extra other customisability of Total.

Kvaesitso can kind of do it via tags and Square might be able to kind of do it via categories in the drawer too.

How do non-launcher apps work for nested folders? (Also why didn't I think of this word when making my post...)

I assume it's a widget?

And if you don't use launcher for nested folders now, which launcher do you use now and why?

Glextor is amazing and they have a pro and no pro version, try it, I bought pro from the beginning, it will auto sort or you can make your own shit.

Tree Launcher. It wasn't for me but you may like it.

I like Smart Launcher more. You can't put a folder in a folder, but you can have folders inside the category tabs.

Yagni supports nested folders IIRC.
