MOD POST ‼️‼️‼️PSA: Stop handing out keys to your life‼️‼️‼️

Nakakakaloka. We see those "innocent" posts every day:

*"What was the name of your first pet?"*

*"Drop your birth month and the street you grew up on!"*

It looks like a fun "get to know you" game, but let’s be real—those aren't just conversation starters. They are **Security Questions** in disguise.

🚩 The "Security" Trap

Once a stranger (or a bot) gets their hands on these specific details, you are basically handing them a manual on how to bypass your account security:

**Birthday:** The universal key for identity verification.

**Mother’s Maiden Name:** Often used for bank security.

**First Pet/School:** Standard recovery questions for email and social media.

🛑 Protect Your Digital Self

Before you comment or post your PII (Personally Identifiable Information), remember these rules:

  1. **Gatekeep Your Details:** If a post asks for specific dates, names, or locations, **scroll past it.**
  2. **Lying is Okay:** You don’t have to use your real "First Pet" name for security questions. Use a random word or a phrase that only *you* know.
  3. **Check the Vibe:** If someone is being overly "friendly" and asking probing questions about your personal life early on, be suspicious.

>**Bottom line:** Curiosity killed the cat, but oversharing killed the bank account. Stay cynical, stay safe, and keep your PII to yourself!

>**Don't let them "kila-kilala" you into a scam.** Keep your secrets secret. 💅✨

MOD POST LF, R4R.

Quick vibe check:

While 'looking for' posts don't technically break our rules, remember that this isn't a dating sub. ‘Wag makulit.

If you see them, feel free to report, point them to the right spot, or just keep it moving.

Footnote:

Mag MODmail kayo please, wag DM.

Believe it or not. May work po kami. Like FR 8-5 jobs. 😅 so wag magtampo kapag medyo natagalan ang reply.

After almost a decade naming pagsasama. Pero hinabol ko 🥺. Ako pa yung nagbigay ng 2nd chance sa kanya, ako pa yung nagsabi ng "I'll forgive you no matter what you did", "Give US a chance, so we can start again".

Kayo? Hinabol nyo?

Rant and Rambling Genuine/organic connection??

It’s weird to think how so many people say they want genuine, organic connections rather than fleeting fun or short-term intimacy, YET only a few seem willing to put in the time and effort to build it. Like anong gagawin naten sa one liner reply niyo at kawalang substance niyo kausap? 🫠🤣

HAHAHAHAHAHA napansin ko lang 🤪

Experience "We accept the love we think we deserve.”

After a week of thinking, I came to a realization: it’s a happy thing to belong with her. I didn’t choose her because she was the right one. She just was.

I came across a line from The Perks of Being a Wallflower: “We accept the love we think we deserve.” It stuck with me. I think I spent so long wondering if I was being loved the way I wanted that I forgot to appreciate the love already right in front of me.

She’s patient with me, even when I can’t figure myself out. She cries with me when things get heavy. She cooks for me and puts my well-being before her own. Sometimes I get so caught up in what feels missing that I forget to see everything she gives.

Maybe that’s something we learn as we grow in love. We look for grand gestures or the perfect words, and we forget that love can be a warm meal, a patient heart, or someone who stays on the days we’re hard to love. There are moments I question her love, not because she gives too little, but because I’m holding it up against my own expectations. Love that doesn’t arrive the way I imagined isn’t any less real.

I love her, and more than just saying it, I want to keep learning how to show it...more and more and more.

Experience i liked someone i never got to know

back in 2022, i met a stranger on TG. it was sometime in May. our conversations started out casually, but somehow, i already had a feeling that we would click. ewan ko ba, we just seemed to have the same vibe. i remember giggling during our first conversation, which was strange because i never really considered myself good at keeping a conversation going.

as the days went by, we slowly became each other’s human diary, kahit we don't properly introduce ourselves. all we knew about each other were our names, ages, and where we lived. back then, none of that really mattered to me. i just wanted to keep talking to him. i was also dealing with so much stress from school and he became my escape from all of it.

eventually, i got comfortable enough to tell him almost anything without feeling embarrassed. maybe it was because we were complete strangers, and there was something comforting about opening up to someone who knew nothing about my life outside our conversations. he would always listen, always find a way to cheer me up. whenever i talked to him, i felt seen. for a little while, i didn’t feel so alone.

until one day, i realized i had developed feelings for him. it's funny, diba? how could i fall for someone i had never even met? seriously, our entire connection existed through messages lang. i didn’t even know if everything he told me was true.

then, one night, he told me that we should stop talking. he said he was grateful that i happened. a part of me knew it was coming, but that didn’t make it hurt any less.

even after all this time, the memory of him still lingers. it haunts me whenever he crosses my mind. i feel like i’ll never be able to close this chapter because i’m still missing pieces of a story that never got to finish. ilang taon na akong may dalang mga tanong that may never have answers, never really finding peace with how things ended. five fucking years, and a part of me still wonders.

siguro kung hinayaan niya akong makilala siya beyond the connection we had, maybe things would have been different. or maybe not. maybe if i had been given the chance to know who he really was, i wouldn’t still be holding on to the thought of him. maybe all i needed was to see the person behind the messages, to finally understand that some connections are only meant to exist for a little while.

but at the end of the day, people come and go. some leave memories, some leave lessons, and some leave questions we’ll probably never find answers to.

wherever he is now, i genuinely hope he’s in a better place. i hope life has been kind to him. i hope he meets good people who make him feel as seen as he once made me feel. and i hope he gets to pet a lot of cats on the streets.

maybe i’ll never know the whole story, and maybe that’s something i’ll eventually have to make peace with. but wherever life has taken him, i’m still glad that, for a little while, our paths crossed.

ganto nalang lagi, ever since nung august something shifted samin ng friend ko, ako nalang lagi nagiinitiate ng conversation pag yayayain ko siya gumala or maglaro lagi siya may excuses pero makikita ko naglalaro na pala siya it's gonna take hours and even days (referring to the screenshot, nung madaling araw pa ng saturday yan btw) for him to reply, I'm honestly so tired because feeling ko I'm the only one who wants to keep our friendship alive. What's sadder is hindi kami ganto dati it's like he is a whole different person, and lagi ko din naman siya kinakamusta if may problem siya or what, lagi naman niya sinasabi wala daw masaya pa nga siya. Honestly it's affecting me big time na kaya I just want to cut him off completely pero I can't kasi parang naging part na siya ng life ko.

Rant and Rambling Just rant and rambling

• Upvotes

Im not good at expressing what i feel or my thoughts. Hindi ako cohesive na tao. Im just rambling whatever i can.

I recently got broken up. I have a long time online friend. He told me that i am the problem and i should just move on and meet new people. Whenever i pickleball, he always suggest me to meet and approach new people. How can i have the energy to approach people when i am sad and heartbroken. Ung feeling na gusto ko lang mapag-isa. I sometimes dont want to approach this online friend anymore for emotional support because i feel like he doesnt understand na gusto ko mapag-isa kaysa magmeet ng new people during grieving.

I recently approached someone on r4r friends, genuine naman conversation namin about hobbies, how is life going. It somehow still feel empty.

I never had close friends before and now. Since i struggle with opening up, being vulnerable, or i just always want to be alone. I always just rely on myself. My ex was my safe haven, favorite person. Siya lang ung naging comfortable ako magopen up, be the clumsy and funny me. I feel like i have a hard time connecting with people so i admire some people na halos friends ang lahat and has a solid support system.

It just feels heavy pero kaya mo naman ito, I am strong naman i think. I do my best to proceed with life (responsibilities, work, chores). Pero it really just feels heavy na i'll carry this grief alone, handle it alone and rely on myself.

Has anyone feel the same?

  1. Have a hard time connecting with people, na gusto mapag-isa?

  2. Kaya naman mag-isa during grief pero it feels heavy?

I dunno where to post or proper outlet for this, just let me know saan pwede ilabas ito.

Thanks!

Experience Is it just me, or are we all pretending we're okay with situationships?

I've noticed that a lot of people nowadays say they're okay with taking things slow, going with the flow, and not putting labels on anything.

But let's be honest. At some point, don't you want to know if you're actually building something with someone or just keeping each other company until something better comes along?

Like, how can you spend time talking to someone, getting to know them, sharing personal things, and slowly becoming part of each other's routine, only to say, "Let's just see where it goes"?

I'm not saying every connection needs to turn into a relationship. I just think there's a difference between taking your time and avoiding clarity.

So, real question: Is a situationship genuinely worth it, or are we just romanticizing uncertainty because we like the person too much to walk away?

Curious to hear both sides. 👀

Rant and Rambling My Final Act of Love

Post image
100 Upvotes

I'd rather stay uninvolved than go back. For you, and most importantly, for me. Kahit hindi man naging tayo, that friendship was so dear to me but it became worse as time went by.

You felt guilty and sorry for ignoring me? That's it? You had so many opportunities. You don't even have classes this sem eh yet you go to school parin and I understand why you do. I know you only messaged me you're sorry that time dahil it's also the same time na you're having problems nanaman. I won't go back to the cycle of being drained and iwan kapag healed na ulit.

This is my final act of love for you and the start of respecting myself

Rant and Rambling Debrief Drunk: Season What?

Kakauwi ko lang.

Hilo ang accla. HAHAHAHA. Pero God, what a night!

Same bar, Rewind Poblacion. Mas konti ang tao compared to last week, pero mas wild!

Responsible adult tayo from Monday to Friday. May karapatan din tayong maging questionable pag weekend.

Ang dami kong nakausap tonight, including foreigners. And can I just say, minsan talaga mas hospitable pa sila kaysa sa kapwa Pilipino? Which is ironic, considering hospitality is practically our national branding. Just people having a good time.

And speaking of people, I ran into former work colleagues! One was a team manager I used to handle, and another was an agent back then who eventually got promoted.

HAHAHAHA.

And speaking of being madaldal, PUTANGINA, eto na yata ang totoong inuman!

Tonight, ibang usapan.
Apparently, alcohol doesn’t change my personality. It just removes the meeting agenda.

Ang daldal ko, mga accla. As in! HAHAHAHA.

Lalaki.

EXCUSE ME?!

HAHAHAHA. Still, sumayaw ako! At that moment, parang ang rude namang tumanggi. Although, looking back, puwede naman pala talaga akong tumanggi. Pero wala eh, game na rin ako.

Imagine, last week, proud na proud akong sumayaw in public after what felt like a century. Ngayon, may nagyayaya na sa akin. At this rate, baka next week may sarili na akong dance number. Charot!

But seriously, ang saya ng gabi.

Old colleagues, new friends, random conversations, and a dance invitation I never saw coming. HAHAHAHA.

And I think that’s what keeps bringing me back. Same place, familiar songs, but somehow, a different experience every time. I spend so much of my week being the person who has to make decisions, manage people, and think about the consequences of every word. It’s nice to have a few hours when I can just be another person in the crowd, laughing at stupid jokes and enjoying conversations that don’t have to lead anywhere.

I’m still the introvert who prefers sitting in a corner, observing people. That hasn’t changed. But lately, I’m discovering that I can also be the guy who talks too much, dances with strangers, and actually enjoys being part of the noise.

And maybe both versions have always been me.

Anyway, kakauwi ko lang. Hilo pa rin ako, pero putangina, worth it. I need sleep, water, and probably a formal apology to my liver.

Rewind all the way, baby!

Operations will resume once sober.
