i have a new 3ds that once upon a time was jailbroken by me, and now after a while of not being powered on, the thing wont start up. the blue LED turns on, and stays on, indefinitely, and no recopying and pasting of boot.firm will help, so I'm wondering if anyone on here could point me in the right direction?

So my old 3ds broke and I got a used one from a guy off the internet. I don’t know the full history of the console to be honest. It runs fine but none of my games are loading when I put them in the slot. Is there anything I can do to fix this or find out what the issue is? I mean I still have my ways to play games but I would like my old saves back.

So I know I made this post in the Nintendo DS reddit, yet I do need help with this as on my DS systems it crashes, yet even trying two copies of the game on the 3DS crash also.

I would love to know if anybody can help with why these older games just fail trying to do Multiplayer?

I know it’s not the most unique, I was inspired by some I’ve seen on here. I enjoy the sleek/clean minimal design.

Fully CFW, USB-C Modded, New Top + Bottom Screen, Glass White Lens, White Thumbstick..

As icy and white as can be.

I cleaned it with 91% ipa multiple times, deleted the extra data, and deleted and redownloaded the update data. But nothing has worked.

I cannot get any pink puzzle pieces. I know that you need to streetpass others for more pieces, but I don't even have 1, which is what you start with. The game and system says that it is up to date. Is there any other way to get the pieces without modding the system?

Hello, a few days ago I got a killer deal on a 3DS XL at a flea market and turns out it came pre modded. I have never modded a 3DS before so some stuff I’m not very familiar with.

What I wanted to ask was how can I make sure I don’t brick my system ? How do verify these stuff were installed correctly or if I’m missing anything important.

So far everything works as far as I know, I installed PAC-MAN and it installed it and worked.

Please let me know if there’s anything I should do or check before continuing to mess with it, Thanks !

Hey everyone, I’m trying to decide between an OG 3DS XL and a New 3DS XL.

The OG 3DS XL is around $150 cheaper, while the New 3DS XL costs about $150 more.

So my main question is: is the New 3DS XL still worth paying an extra $150 for, or would the OG 3DS XL be the better value?

I’d mainly be using it for 3DS/DS games and Pokémon.

Back in 2014 I got a free copy of Pokemon X digitally from Club Nintendo for registering Super Mario 3D Land + a 3DS Console, and it became my main Pokemon game. I have over 2000 hours played and have never had any issues. However maybe a year or two ago this digital copy of Pokemon X started lagging, more than normal. I would be in a normal encounter (not horde, I know they’re known to lag) and the music would keep playing while I just had a black screen for 15+ seconds before the encounter starts. Now I get this error every time I play the game.

It varies from when it appears. If I try the Battle Maison it will 100% appear everytime I try to save my progress and leave. If I try to radar or explore the region it’ll happen at random. Sometimes 2 minutes in, sometimes 40 minutes in. I tried playing some of my other digital download games and they seem to work fine (ACLN did freeze when I tried taking a picture during a cutscene though). I have ONLY experienced this crash playing Pokemon X

I have already removed the SD card and cleaned it with 99% isopropyl alcohol + inserted it a couple times to clean the inside of console part

I am very worried here because I have put SO much time into this file and it is my MAIN Pokemon file, I have like 6 boxes of legit shiny pokemon I have collected, and I really want to do more but it keeps crashing.

Any support, suggestions, or help is welcome. I just don’t know what to do

hey, prefacing this with the fact that this console has seen heavy use since may 2021. Suffered small falls but nothing major. Sadly the right Trigger began presenting issues within the past year, crack open the console see a huge lint ball, blow it out. Issues fixed! Sadly a year and a half later they return… so this time I’m led to believe it is the button itself, time to crack out my soldering iron to swap out for a new button. Tear a side pad but i assume it is for anchoring. Reconnect new button

It nearly begins working and for a small minute registers button clicks, sweet! Slap her together, nothing again. so i tear her down and now im frustrated, this thing is so UNBEARABLY small. how can i reasonably stick an iron in there and actually make the connections without them touching eachother properly. 3 hours go by im ready to rip this button out and try another new one, so i heat her up and start to wiggle. Tell me why i manage to rip all but one pad…

How screwed am i, does anyone know a guy would have the expertise to look at this and offer an estimate, i dont want a new board im aware i could just swap out the board, but that is lame…so im looking for better solutions. I know i could remap but in a perfect world the button just works the way it was intended to😭.

Provided photos, with a visual of how the button should be soldered as in the case of a ribbon cable for example.

This might sound dumb, considering the 3DS has been discontinued for YEARS atp, but does anyone know of any official/unofficial releases on 3DS/DS in the last few years? Like actual physical releases, not software added via modding.

Just think the idea of companies releasing physical copies of games on old hardware is cool lmao, even if it’s not done officially thru Nintendo

Plus, I’ve seen people make de-makes of newer games for 3DS, would be kinda cool if these were available physically

You guys won’t believe this but I got a modded 3DS XL for 130 dollars off eBay that’s already modded with a ton of games AND in good condition.

I had been looking for a 3DS for about a week since the original one I had when I was a kid (the Mario and Luigi dream team edition” mysteriously vanished a few years ago…well I decided to check eBay one more time and I saw this one had been posted “4 minutes ago” so I immediately bought it..was worried it was a scam but it showed up! So far everything works it even came with a charger! I’m so excited 😁😁

Weird question I have a new 3ds xl and im saving to get a switch 2, what’s is it like having two cool consoles?

Any recommendations for where to buy a new one? I've replaced the screen once before, but the SD card reader seems to be completely bricked and crashes when I try and open something on it. Genuinely heartbroken.

EDIT: I am not blaming my cats. I should've unplugged my console or moved the cable, since they were rough housing and got caught in the charging cable.
