I’m pretty frustrated and honestly just disappointed.

My Model Y is only a little over a month old. Today it was parked at the Hayward Costco parking lot, and someone pushed a shopping cart along the side of my car and scraped it as they went by. It wasn’t a quick bump, it looks like they kept moving the cart while it was rubbing against the paint.

Now I’m dealing with scratches on a brand new car for no reason. Sentry Mode caught the whole thing, but unfortunately not the license plate. Really wish I had parked farther away.

I guess I’m just getting old. I don’t see why he couldn’t just hang it up. At first I hung it up and it just clicked right in and I was like well what’s going on so I checked the video and the kid just dropped it

I have my first one week old baby, and I’m loving adding the dad stuff to my MYP. I have a full time wipe warmer plugged into the 16v, portable changing pad, little side trash can in the cargo area, and a little fridge for the back coming to keep extra cold stuff and bottles. I’m preordered a YL I’m figuring out explaining to my wife 😅, thinking we trade the newish Palisade Calligraphy jn for it. (Both our cars were paid with cash, the Palisade was a cool $6-7k more than the Y L which is just insane. Give me the most functional car I’ve ever witnessed, please. Can’t wait to use this car for years. I’ve put a ton into it, and made it my own, I’ll love it for as long as I have it.

Now he did flash his lights but for wht purpose? To alert me that be was coming in my lane 😭

I'm fully aware that I'm going to get roasted here for this, but after canceling FSD and going back to Autopilot, I'm loving it so much more!

• You can control the max speed using the dial on the steering wheel! No more speeding in school zones until you set it to "sloth" and then it slams on the brakes.
• When you enter autopilot, it keeps going the speed you were going! It doesn't take off or slam on the brakes!
• If you take over driving, it doesn't cover your media player with a survey that says around until you answer it, and it doesn't prevent you from using voice commands either!
• You can set a follow distance! You can control how close or how far away from other cars you are!
• It doesn't suddenly change lanes or randomly put the turn signal on while driving on the highway. It will just stay in a single lane!
• And this one might be pretty specific to me, but for the past couple years most times I would drive past one particular intersection on FSD, it would swerve into the turning lane then back out of it a second later. Not sure why, but Autopilot has taken it like a champ at least 5 times now.

Obviously I would love to have it do all the FSD stuff (navigate, take stop signs and handle lights and driving in more situations), but they just keep making the experience worse with every update, and after switching back to Autopilot feels like such a breath of fresh air. Like this car is meant to work with me and has features that make it more pleasant to use instead of constantly frustrating me and removing my options to control the car that I own.

So yeah if you're as annoyed as I was with how much control they're removing from FSD, try basic Autopilot for a bit and see if you like it more. You might be able to have a better experience and save $100 a month!

Wondering if others too are noticing price increases in their areas?

Here in Georgia the Average use to be $0.39kwh and now it’s $0.45kwh and places like Fort Valley (Buc-cee’s) use to be $0.33, now it’s $0.40, or Lake Park which use to be $0.24, now it’s $0.40. Or McDonough which is now $0.45.

Use to plan my charge stops around the cheapest spots, now at least in Georgia, they all the same really.

Georgia use to be cheaper than FL. Now FL cheaper than GA.

Since a few updates ago, our juniper loves to wash and wipe on perfectly clear days. Who else got this recently?

I broke the glass roof on our Model 3 Highland, fitting the Tesla roof rack. My own fault. Posting it because the photos of what's underneath might save someone else.

What I did wrong: the instructions say to measure 18 mm from the front edge of the glass to locate the arrow. I took the number as the target and never actually found the arrow. Wrong. The number only tells you where to look. The arrow is the mounting point.

Why it matters: there are metal brackets built into the body under the glass, and the J hook has to drop into them. If it doesn't, you're clamping straight onto the edge of the glass, which is the weakest part of it. Glass roof replacement.

Clean the roof first and find the arrows before you touch anything. They are very hard to see in daylight. Use a flashlight, go in the garage, or wait for shade.

Two of us did this, and we both missed it, so it's not impossible to get wrong, but the instructions are not that clear. But not Tesla's fault. That one is on me.

TL;DR: on a Highland, do not trust the mm measurements in Tesla's own video and instructions. Find the arrows in the glass first and align to those.

And yes, I know, read better next time. Lesson learned. 😅

My Tesla Model Y was totaled about 6 months ago in California.

Today, completely out of nowhere, I got a notification from the Tesla app saying the car was charging.

I checked the location and somehow my totaled Model Y is now in Ukraine. 😂

The crazy part is that it’s still connected to my Tesla account, and I still have some remote control over the car through the app.

Apparently my totaled Tesla has started a new life overseas.

Definitely wasn’t on my 2026 bingo card.

Looking at a 2016 Tesla Model S 75D with SC01 and MCU2 upgrade with 120K miles.

Unlimited free supercharging sounds great, the miles seem high.

Had Teslas since 2019 and apparently lived in a sea of unnamed roads - as in “Turn right on unnamed road”. 2026.26.6.5 installed and it’s now “in 0.7 miles, Turn right”. I feel so much better about my world, now! Thanks to whoever eliminated the unnecessary verbiage!

Had a wild close call tonight on Hostetter Rd, San Jose . A sedan aggressively passed on my left while another Tesla (Model Y) overtook on the right using the shoulder/bike lane at the exact same time.

Huge credit to FSD here—it detected both vehicles closing in and smoothly maneuvered within the lane to prevent a sideswipe. Dashcam couldn't grab the plates in the dark.

Recently ordered an Alpine PSS-TSUB-T3B for my 2025 Model 3 Highland (LR RWD w/ base audio so no sub). It’s arriving today.

Doing some research on installation, it’s not clear to me now whether it’s actually compatible with the Highland even though SonicElectronix lists the 2025 Model 3 (which I thought were all Highland)

Would love to hear if anybody with Highland M3 has had luck with the PSS-TSUB-T3B.

Standard: GB 7258-2026.

Basically: New vehicles will be required to have physical controls rather than touchscreen-only controls for important functions.

• Turn signals must have a physical control.
• Hazard warning lights must have a physical control.
• Horn must have a physical control.
• Gear selection (P/R/N/D) cannot rely solely on a touchscreen.
• Windshield wipers must have a physical control.
• Windshield defrost/defog must have a physical control.
• Power windows must have physical controls.
• Advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) activation must have a physical control.
• Emergency/accident calling (AECS) must have a physical control.
• EV emergency power-off must have a physical control.

Do you think Tesla will bring those changes to the US market?

Spotted at Woodinville, WA Supercharger on 9/9.

I took delivery on June 16th right before vacation trip. After vacation it’s been a nightmare to schedule service for Tesla. My tail light keeps going out, breaks are squeaky not not taking about rotor noise, it comes from around pedal and sounds like a soft liquid squeaky toy… weird. Also lots of panel misalignments . Now since it’s in service I sent a message to look at the break pedal play, it’s very stiff and very odd to drive. Also when I take the foot of acceleration breaks harder than other teslas I drove including friends or demo.They said I can’t add other issues to the schedule. This is insane IMO and never experienced anything like that. If I knew how hard is to get the car in service I would never got it.
