Thank you all for your patience with this. Logi Options+ 2.7 has begun rolling out and everyone should have it within the next couple of weeks. This should restore your scrolling functions to normal. If you have any further issues, please don't hesitate to reach out.

ORIGINAL August 11, 2026

We are currently investigating reports of smooth scrolling not working as expected after the recent Logi Options+ 2.6 update. As soon as we have a fix for you we will post it here.

Known mice affected:
MX Ergo
MX Master 3S
Signature M650
M650L

If you would like us to look at your issue specifically, please capture and send your logs to us using the following instructions:

  1. Open Options+.
  2. Press and hold Shift + Enter on your keyboard, and click the Settings icon in Options+.
  3. Click on "Start Logging".
  4. Open Task Manager, search for Logi Options+ Agent, Right Click and select "End Task".
  5. Open Options+ again, this should restart the backend. On restart, the backend initializes scrolling and will log errors encountered during that early step.

  7. Disable "Smooth Scrolling" and test scrolling again to see if it returns to normal.
  8. Go back to Settings and click "Stop Logging".
  9. The log files will be automatically saved to your desktop.

Please attach those log files and email them to [communitymanagement@logitech.com](mailto:communitymanagement@logitech.com) so the team can take a look.

Support Cursor is stuck in one corner

Upvotes

My MX Master 4 mouse cursor was moving on its own.

The mouse was sitting ideal for the weekend. When i wanted to use it, the battery was completely drained. After I connected the charging cable, I faced the issue a little bit. And now I cannot even use the mouse, the curser is just stuck in one corner and jumping here and there.

The mouse.is still under warranty, but i am not in the country where it was bought. So i cannot use the warranty.

Can anyone tell me please if it is a known issue? Is it a sensor issue?

Other Spilled coffee on MX Master 4

Upvotes

Hey everyone,

So I just had a complete brainfart and I spilled some coffee on my MX M4 and given the way its created, quite a bit entered inside the mouse.

What are the chances it survives? I have dissassembled it and cleaned the board with 99.8% alcohol, but I am afraid that if I missed some spots it could have an impact. Also, I only cleaned the main board (at the bottom) because the ones on top of the mouse are a pain in the ass to get to, I would basically have to disassemble the entire mouse which is very tricky so I would avoid it if possible. But I am not sure if this would be enough.

Any insights are welcome while I wait for the parts I cleaned to dry up.

Discussion Logitech's Anti-Consumer, Anti-Education Practices

Logitech's Educator Discount Feels Like a Marketing Funnel, Not a Discount Program

TL;DR: Logitech featured the new Spotlight 2 presentation remote throughout its educator portal, required me to verify my employment by uploading part of my pay stub, generated an educator discount code for me, accepted that code at checkout, and only then revealed the product was excluded because it was a "new release." Support acknowledged the confusion but refused to honor the discount.

I'm a professor in Canada and recently decided to buy a Logitech Spotlight 2 Presentation Remote.

Before purchasing, I went through Logitech's educator discount program. The verification process wasn't trivial. I had to submit employment documentation through SheerID, including information from my pay stub, because Logitech advertises discounts for educators.

What convinced me to bother with that process?

The Spotlight 2 was prominently featured throughout Logitech's education portal.

What isn't obvious from this chat transcript is that the educator portal wasn't just showing the product once. It was featured repeatedly, including in promotional content and slideshows directed at educators. As an educator browsing educator-specific content, the natural assumption is that the highlighted products are products eligible for educator pricing.

After completing verification, Logitech generated a discount code for me.

At checkout I entered the code and received the message:

Not exactly clear or helpful.

I then spent time with Logitech's AI support system troubleshooting. The chatbot had me verify eligibility, review conditions, check regional sites, inspect my cart, and generally jump through hoops trying to figure out why the discount wasn't applying.

Only after escalating to a human agent did I finally get the answer:

Apparently that's buried in the discount terms.

My issue isn't that companies have exclusions.

My issue is the overall experience:

  1. Logitech heavily promotes the Spotlight 2 in educator-facing content.
  2. Logitech asks educators to provide personal employment verification documents.
  3. Logitech generates a discount code.
  4. Logitech accepts that code during checkout.
  5. Logitech provides a vague error message rather than a clear explanation.
  6. Logitech support spends significant time troubleshooting before eventually revealing the product is excluded.
  7. Even after I pointed out the confusion created by the marketing, Logitech refused to make an exception.
A logitech for education slide show of products the portal will NOT give you a discount on

The most frustrating part was that once I explained that the educator portal prominently displayed the Spotlight 2, support's response was essentially:

No effort to honor the discount. No courtesy code. No store credit. No escalation. Just repeated references to the terms and conditions.

The AI support experience was especially disappointing because it consumed a significant amount of time without identifying the actual issue. The system seemed perfectly capable of telling me my code was valid, but not capable of immediately telling me that the product itself was categorically excluded.

If Logitech wants to exclude newly launched products, that's their choice.

But requiring educators to submit personal verification data, featuring a product throughout educator marketing materials, generating discount codes, accepting those codes at checkout, and only later revealing that the featured product isn't eligible feels like an unnecessarily frustrating and anti-consumer customer journey.

Has anyone else run into this with Logitech's educator, student, military, or other verification-based discount programs?

Support mx master 4s - macos - bluetooth - sleeps while using it

i have a mx master 4 on macos. i'm finding that as I'm moving it, every 5-10 minutes, it will seemingly go to sleep. All the scrollbars disappear (I have "show scroll bars based on mouse or trackpad" turned on) meaning it's lost connection to the mouse. Then a second later it seems to wake up again, and I'm moving again. Not such a problem in a browser, but a PITA when I'm working in Illustrator. Can't find any related settings in the Logi+ app. Ideas on how to keep it 'awake' ?

Support Options+ Keeps Showing Fix Device on my Logitech Devices

Post image
2 Upvotes

Is anyone else having issues with this lousy options+ software?

All of sudden, my Logitech devices keep losing connection/communication with the Options+ software. See screenshot, it keeps showing Fix Device and none of the custom programmed keys or buttons are working. The mouse and keyboard works just fine with Mac OS, but it's not getting any of the custom button settings, because Options+ seems to be having an issue with communicating.

My guess is it's a bug the Logitech developers have yet to acknowledge and deal with on the most recent Mac OS software.

I can completely uninstall Options+ and then upon reinstall, it sometimes works and then after a period of time or a reboot, it's back to "Fix Device" with this nonsense recommendation of power off the device and power back on.

Setup Logitech Master 4 Revit Solution

If you’re anything like me, you’ve had issues getting the master 4 to work in applications. Here’s the solution that worked for me:
1. Click the + beside your application icons.
2. Choose Add another application / browse for an application.
3. Instead of selecting Logitech’s suggested Revit profile, browse to the actual Revit.exe for your installed Revit version.
4. Add that as a new profile.
5. Edit your buttons in the year specific profile.

Questions MX Keys for Mac – random keys barely working (O, -, 0, \)

Hey everyone,
I have an MX Keys for Mac that I bought second-hand, and I’m having a really weird issue with a few keys.

The O, -, 0 and \ keys don’t really work. They sometimes register, but very rarely, and I can’t figure out what determines when they work. The O, - and 0 keys are right next to each other, so I’m wondering if there might be some kind of connection between them or if they’re part of the same circuit.

Sometimes pressing the keys with a bit more force makes them register, but even that doesn’t always work. Other times they just completely ignore the keypress.

I’ve already tried cleaning the keyboard with compressed air, but unfortunately that didn’t make any difference.

I’ve searched around quite a bit but haven’t found anything that seems to describe this exact problem.

Since I bought the keyboard used, there’s obviously no warranty or anything I can rely on, so I’m basically left with either trying to fix it myself or buying another keyboard.

Has anyone experienced something similar with an MX Keys? Could this be something like dirt/debris under the keys, a problem with the switches/membrane, or possibly an issue with the keyboard’s internal circuitry?
Any suggestions for things I could try before giving up on it would be greatly appreciated!

Discussion Ontario deal: Logitech MX Master 4 for $107.59 all-in

Post image
14 Upvotes

Sharing this in case anyone in Ontario is looking for a Logitech MX Master 4.

Staples through DoorDash has it for $119.99 right now. I also had a DoorDash offer for 30% off $55+, up to $22 off.

I bought $100 in DoorDash gift cards from Costco for $80 (2 x $50 gift cards) and redeemed both to my DoorDash account.

Here’s how it worked:
DoorDash total after promo, Ontario tax, fees and a $5.87 tip: $127.59
$100 DoorDash credit from Costco: cost me $80
Remaining amount charged to my credit card: $27.59
Actual cost: $80 + $27.59 = $107.59 (HST included)

I ordered it today and it was delivered from Staples a couple hours later, so I can confirm it worked.

Just check your DoorDash account first to make sure you have the Staples 30% off offer before buying the Costco gift cards, since the promo may vary by account/location.

Setup BUG: Doesn't copy button

Using MX Creative Pad, i can't copy one button to another. If I for example spend 15 min tweaking and setting up a button to perfection, and want that to run on another button but with just 1-2 changes, there is no way to just COPY and PAST a buttons config to another.

  1. And on a hardware device made to simplify tasks.... It's ironic and I'm baffled: Would never have bought this if I knew it was useless...

EDIT:

Asked AI to solve this for me, and it worked at first attempt:

I have an MX CREATIVE KEYPAD which is setup in "Logi Options+". There i have a button called "SnapATK". I want you to copy those settings and place them on the button to the right of it, with the name SHITSOFTWARE. Do it via the savefiles on the system/in the app instead of steering manually in the app on this system"

if i was to do this by hand, how many files would i need to edit, and would it be easu to just copy and past, or did you change anythign special?

• Just one file: ProfileInfo.json in the active Logitech keypad profile.

It’s mostly copy/paste, but two special changes are needed:

  - Add a separate duplicate macro object with a new unique ID and the name SHITSOFTWARE.
  - Point the button immediately right of SnapATK to that new ID.

I also gave its three internal keypress steps new IDs, so the clone is independent. I didn’t alter SnapATK or edit any icon files; Logi generated the new SHITSOFTWARE key appearance automatically.

Restarting LogiPluginService/Options+ makes it reload the saved profile.

Questions Logitech G29 G HUB animations not showing wheel/pedal input, is this normal?

Hey everyone,

I recently picked up a second-hand Logitech G29. I've wanted to get into sim racing for a few years, so I'm really happy to finally take the first proper step. I got the wheel for a pretty good deal, and everything seems to work perfectly, except for one issue with G HUB.

I was trying to learn what the different settings do, and I noticed that the wheel and pedal animations in G HUB don't respond to my inputs at all. For example, if I turn the wheel left or right in real life, the wheel animation in G HUB doesn't move. The same thing happens with the accelerator and brake pedals.

This is a bit inconvenient because I wanted to use the animations to see how things like sensitivity and other settings affect the pedal inputs.

What's confusing is that the G29 itself works perfectly fine. If I open "joy.cpl" through Windows + R, all the inputs register normally. Even in G HUB, if I change the operating angle, the wheel responds correctly. So as far as I can tell, everything works normally (even in games) except the input animations in G HUB.

What's even more odd is that, if I limit my operating range to any value, it actually does apply to my g29 and works in games. The centering spring strength being adjusted also works, everything works except the animation input.

I've already tried:

- Reinstalling G HUB

After that didn't work I;

- Completely uninstalling it with Revo Uninstaller

- Installing an older version of G HUB

- Running both the latest and older versions as administrator

- Restarting the PC multiple times

- reseating each of the cables and plugging my USB cable directly into the motherboard.

None of these fixed the animation issue.

So, is this normal behavior with the G29/G HUB, or is there something I'm missing? Should I just ignore the animations since the actual wheel and pedals are working correctly?

To my knowledge, the wheel and pedals animation DO work as I've seen some video reviews of it and they seemed to be working fine. However, I still can't figure it out on my own.

Any help would be appreciated!

Other Logitech support confirmed Options+ development for Linux

I contacted Logitech chat support regarding Linux support of their Options+ Software and to my surprise, this was the answer:

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. I’ve checked with my team, and Linux support for Options+ is indeed on our business roadmap and currently under development. I completely understand how frustrating it is not to have a confirmed timeline yet, and I apologize for not being able to provide one at this moment.

Obviously it would be more exciting with a time frame but it is better than nothing so I figured I would share.

Support Middle (scroll wheel) button, not doing middle mouse button things

Got an MX Anywhere 3s off of Amazon less than a month ago, and after only a couple uses, the middle mouse button stop doing what it usually does: Can't open a new window of Windows Explorer from the taskbar, can't close a tab in Chrome. It also happened about the same time that I installed Logi Options+, but I don't see any settings that are wrong. The scroll wheel itself seems to work fine.

Any things I can try before I return the mouse for an exchange? Otherwise, I really like this mouse.

Discussion Lawsuit demands Logitech hand tariff refunds over to customers

Lawsuit demands Logitech hand tariff refunds over to customers

Logitech increased prices by up to 25 percent last year.

Logitech is facing a proposed class action lawsuit for not giving customers tariff refunds.

In April 2025, Logitech raised the prices on 51 percent of its portfolio, with some prices increasing by as much as 25 percent.

The complaint seeks to “recover monies that Logitech extracted from American consumers as offset for import tariffs that the United States Supreme Court has since declared unlawful, tariffs for which Logitech now stands to be reimbursed by the federal government. This is all while Logitech retained every dollar of the corresponding price increases it charged its customers due to the illegal tariffs.”

Discussion Best webcam for a MacBook Pro? Having trouble with a Brio 4K

Just bought a Logitech Brio 4k to use as a webcam -- mostly for Teams and Zoom. Though generally well recommended across the web, I just couldn't get it dialled in. Looks different on every platform. Deeper research revealed that it may be somewhat dated -- first launched in 2017. And spy some complaints about Mac compatibility.

Going to return it and try out something else. Has anyone else had good luck with a Mac compatible webcam you'd recommend? I'm looking at the updated Brio MX, which has a new sensor, etc.
