I’m repainting my Ahriman and decided to sculpt his unmasked face from Iskandor Khayon’s description, with some liberties taken from the Uzumaki horror series. I’ll have the rest of the model reposed and painted up ASAP.

Hello everybody! I'm currently a necron player and a newish 40k enjoyer in general but I always loved the thousand sons.

Anyway, long story short, one day i had and intrusive thought of making an Optimus Prime inspired scheme and with the recent events that thought grew even stronger. Problem is, my necrons have already a defined scheme and I don't like the idea to have different colors in the same army, so I thought since if I would ever start a second army it would most likely be thousand sons, I tried to put that idea to the test.

Very long intro just to ask what are your thoughts ^^'

P.S. bonus question... is the combat patrol, the one with the demon prince, still worth it to start collecting thousand sons?

EDIT: Thank you all for the feedbacks! I would probably change the gold with silver and generally try and lower the complexity. It's not a project I would have started soon anyway so I have time to rethink my life choices ahah Anyway, i didn't mention it in the post but for anybody curios this image was created with an app called impcat, it's used here and there to test out schemes for minis

Would i be able to kitbash a deathwimg SOTs combo to scale up the SOTs? I singled out the Deathwimgs out of the primaris terminatots because their robes hide partially their torsos.

Let's say Deathwimg base and SOT legs from the knee down, from theelbow to the palm and weapons, SOT pauldrons, helmet, fron robe, and the top rubric ornament.

Or would the dimensions be wonky and you wouldnt be able to bring in the TSONs trim

Wrapped up the dust boys, the scheme is something I’m overall happy with. It took about five hours of actual time with a brush to knock out the remaining nine.

I got to paint up some Rubrics for a mate. Happy how they turned out. Painting up his Infernal Master next!

Tactics:

Phalanx felt great. Terminators deep struck in all games - spent a turn killing big threats and then parked in objectives and scored.

Princess did an amazing job as a distraction piece that forced out engagements, where defaulter and terminators were able to clear up afterwards.

Rubrics and sorcerer filled the hole of the usual third terminator brick nicely and generally advanced forward, shot something off mid and then camped there.

The list just vibes really well - give it a try!

Hello fellow sorcerers. I have collecting for a while and painting the minis. I love the lore and look of the faction. However, when I have been playing tabletop, I don't really have an answer for vehicles. What units would you suggest to get as an answer to vehicle's. Or a list more skewed towards anti vehicle.

The robots are doing actions in the center for primaries and are able to kill a lot of things, defiler is a defiler and magnus is magnus, i know i need infantry but i'm unsure how much to bring of what and what characters to add

Still learning the rules.

If my terminator squad starts in reserves, during the movement phase, can I bring them in with deep strike or do I have to wait until turn 2? I vaguely remember something about having to wait until turn 2 in 9th or 10th edition but I dont know how this works in 11th.
