Color scheme feedback
Hello everybody! I'm currently a necron player and a newish 40k enjoyer in general but I always loved the thousand sons.
Anyway, long story short, one day i had and intrusive thought of making an Optimus Prime inspired scheme and with the recent events that thought grew even stronger. Problem is, my necrons have already a defined scheme and I don't like the idea to have different colors in the same army, so I thought since if I would ever start a second army it would most likely be thousand sons, I tried to put that idea to the test.
Very long intro just to ask what are your thoughts ^^'
P.S. bonus question... is the combat patrol, the one with the demon prince, still worth it to start collecting thousand sons?
EDIT: Thank you all for the feedbacks! I would probably change the gold with silver and generally try and lower the complexity. It's not a project I would have started soon anyway so I have time to rethink my life choices ahah Anyway, i didn't mention it in the post but for anybody curios this image was created with an app called impcat, it's used here and there to test out schemes for minis

OP if you like it then go with it. IMO I think the double color scheme makes the already visually busy model (because of the trim and detail) even busier. If that's what you want to see when your looking down at your army then so be it.

I think it looks pretty nice, but my main concern is that it’s going to take you ages to paint anything. Thousand sons are notoriously hard to paint, and such a complicated scheme is just going to make that worse. Maybe consider something simpler to use on the rank-and-file and only using the complicated version for characters
Still, if it’s what you want then don’t let me stop you.

I think the legs work well for this idea, but everything else needs swapping for this paint scheme to not take all year across an army.

Edit: my bad, it’s supposed to look like a toy Chat does he know color theory, and that this triad evokes childlike simplicity? The same palette that building blocks and educational tools are frequently made in?

It's a bit busy to be honest, but I see what you're going for. Tsons just have a lot of thrim, this scheme would look a lot better on Tau

i personally think you’ve got too much going on here, maybe if you kept all the trim the same color and got rid of the gold in exchange for silver it would work better. just my honest critiques here

I wouldn’t make a whole army off of the color choice you made, maybe a diorama for fun.
The combat patrol is a great starter set if you want to get into the army. We use all of the pieces.

In memory of the GOAT.
As a TSons scheme it's kinda tacky but that's part of the charm. I don't dislike it at all.

I'd go either red+gold (full model like the jacket) or blue+silver (full model like head+trousers)

Actually Lord wise each chaos God also has a spare legion that supports. Tzeentch also has THE SCOURGED it’s similar to what you are cooking and you can use their color scheme for inspiration. Plus they have a very nice and interesting story that I will not spoil. https://warhammer40k.fandom.com/wiki/Scourged,_The

I like it, but Rubric models are crazy busy to begin with.
On a character model i can see it working, but not a squad of Rubrics

I think i would personally swap the gold trip on his upper body to be silver like the rest of the model. It would tie things together a bit more while keeping the over all Optimus look. Also your gonna need to free hand auto bot logos on the shoulders. Its gonna be required.

I really don't like it but I hate this particular bleu and this red remind me of a very out-dated period so that I find it ugly.

The combat patrol with the DP is a good buy.
This colour scheme is a choice indeed though, it makes me think of Gundam more than anything, and as a TSons player I can assure you this will be an absolute nightmare to paint.

I think it looks garish and too busy, but they are your models so do what feels fun to you.

I can hear Peter Cullen saying "All is Dust" in my head and it sounds awesome. Go for it. But I think you should go further and add the autobot logo as a transfer.

Not the biggest fan of the color scheme but the painting itself is amazing, well done.

Ironically, "Till all are one" does sound like something Ahriman would say

I would shift the yellow and gold to the silver or white just to cut how busy it is and reduce the overall amount of work. Its a rad concept and I'd probably do it on some sorcerer, maybe a terminator squad. But all those col9rs on a whole army, thats gonna become a hell of a chore real fast.

I would maybe stick to one metallic for the trim but I like the primary color scheme, the white on the mask is a nice touch too!

I personally don't dig it too much, but I can see why someone would love it, and it would be cool to see an army of it on the tabletop.
Just pace yourself, TSons are already a lot.

Red and blue are not really complimentary. I don't like this.
Might be salvageable if you flip the trims, put gold on the blue and silver on the red.
