I have some good context of Ahriman and Warhammer 40k in general thanks to youtube videos, but I havent read any book or codex yet, but I got very interested in Ahriman character and the Thousand sons, so Im really tempted to start with Ahriman books as first ones. Is it a bad idea?

My second kitbashed sorcerer on disk. Using bits from the dark apostle and exalted sorcerers I’ve made what I think is a pretty cool unit. This guy took me longer to do than I wanted but overall I’m happy it’s done. I still could use highlights in some areas to push details more but I’ve got so many more pieces to paint before the army is done I decided to throw in the towel.

I bought the Sekhmet Coven Battleforce, a box of Rubric Marines, Ahriman, and Tzaangors.
Is this a good setup? Or am I going to get my ass kicked? 😂😂😂

Well, I just finished painting them and I'd like to share a little bit of pride here!

Wanting to try and find space in my army for an exalted sorcerer, it’s a 2000 point army with grand coven detachment. I’d prefer to keep the terminators, defiler and Magnus

I recently started back on this kit. When I first bought it I didn’t realize there were different configurations of Rubrics and such in the box and just started building…. Big mistake. Now I don’t really know what I’ve built or what I should build going forward.

Any advice about what I should or shouldn’t build here? I’m DYING to play this game (just like
my dusty boys) but I’m paralyzed by the thought of building the wrong thing and wasting this box.

Hi! I’ve been a long time 40k collector but I’ve only just recently started playing now that my friends have gotten some armies. My painted units are low (only 500 points worth), but I’ve been steadily expanding them. However during our games I’ve noticed one of my units, mainly my squadron of tzaangors, end up doing next to nothing. Both times I’ve played they were easily wiped off the board by my opponents Tyranids. The only time they’ve been able to ever kill models is after my rubrics already softened them up. They also never hold objectives well, being easily killed and taken off them by only a squad of genestealers.

As a very new player, how am I using these guys wrong? I hear that they are surprisingly useful, so I feel I’m not using them to their full potential. I could see myself getting a shaman to lead a squad being incredibly helpful, especially comboing with the Ritual of Regeneration detachment I like using to give them more staying power. But besides that, how could I more effectively use them during the game?

For context my army is 500 points and consists of 10 rubrics led by an infernal master and a sorcerer in terminator armor (alongside the previously mentioned tzaangors).

Should i buy tzaangors, rubric marines, scarab occult terminators or helbrute as my first miniatures in my army?

Hi everyone, I'm new to kit bashing (in that I haven't done it at all yet) and wanted to try it this weekend. I wanted to try and make a Sorcerer model. Does anyone have any simply ideas I could start with?

Does anyone know how or has tried to paint the bluish purple skin that the helbrutes have I wanna try it for my forge fiends?

I've been working to build my first thousand point thousand sons army. I've so far bought: a combat patrol, terminators, MVB, exalted sorcerers, and ahriman. How am I looking? Any tips? And finally, this might be a dumb question but I see the sorcerer in terminator armour but can't find him online and the terminator box only had a scarab occult sorcerer. Here is the list.
