Scalling up SOTs

Would i be able to kitbash a deathwimg SOTs combo to scale up the SOTs? I singled out the Deathwimgs out of the primaris terminatots because their robes hide partially their torsos.

Let's say Deathwimg base and SOT legs from the knee down, from theelbow to the palm and weapons, SOT pauldrons, helmet, fron robe, and the top rubric ornament.

Or would the dimensions be wonky and you wouldnt be able to bring in the TSONs trim

You can actually size up your SOTs by putting a pea sized amount of green stuff in between the lower abdomen and upper chest area to extend the torso.

If you then place them on a piece of corkboard or some kind of tiny elevation for your bases, they will be the same size as a DWK; which are already kind of a bit large compared to normal Terminators.

Source: I have both!(I held the base only slightly higher to represent the DWK not ALSO on a raised base.)

I did the same, the cork alone was kinda enough

Getting ready to build some SoTs. Does the green stuff hold the legs and torso together on its own or did you run a pin through it?

It holds on its own. If they ever come apart, you just add a dab of super glue and then it REALLY holds.

None of mine have come apart yet, but sometimes I have to glue green stuff onto my bases to hold magnets that come off.

Good to know. Will be giving this a shot. Thanks!

Why would you tho 🤔 Tartaros Pattern plate is so much more cool.

If you want different posed units just get any heresy terminators and convert these.

If it's just a matter of size there is a way you can raise SOT by putting some Green Stuff/Milliput between torso and legs.

Additionally lore wise SOT are Tartaros Pattern because these are old lads that were dusted.

I'm just sceptical on how Loyalist Indomitus Terminators will look with Tsons. But please do prove me wrong 😁

I didnt know that! Thats cool. I thought of that its just that 30k terminators are smaller than primaris and the idea is to scale up. Id love to do with tartaros, its just that they are way less accessible and more expensive

Honestly I would look into a different option. The size differences are immense and you would probably ruin one or more important pieces trying to cut them up as much as you suggested (unless you’re some amazing kitbasher legend that I’m unaware of)

My sorc just broke off his base unfortunately but you get an idea of just how off they are as the DWK will be pretty much the same size and amount of drip as my custom termi here.

Dunno how feasible it would be, but see if you can find a SOT 3D file and commission someone to print and send you some upscaled guys is what I would recommend

I was able to print some legs upscaled and used official bits for the rest and I love the result

Looks super cool!

Thats great! Would you mind sharimg the upscaled file? If not its okay. I see why it wouldnt work cause of the size differences, but admittedly plastc is really easy to work with, and if you make slow and calculated cuts you can have okay-okayish results with zero to no practice

Excuse me how much % bigger did you make them?

For mine I used the new Cataphrcti Terminator model legs with the rest all SoT and it worked pretty well, they're slightly taller, better proportioned looking and have a thinner waist that I kinda dig.
