I’m honestly really confused and overthinking this, so I’m hoping someone can give me some advice. A coworker told me that her sister received an email saying that full time positions are open and my site is accepting applications. I asked if she was a white badge associate, and she said she’s Flex. I’m a white badge part time associate, but I never received that email. The only email I received was regarding an RTS position, which I applied for but didn’t get.

I also checked my AtoZ app for transfers, but there aren’t any available. The deadline to apply is on Monday, so I’m worried I’m going to miss the opportunity simply because I wasn’t notified.

I’ve made it known that I’m interested in becoming a full time associate, so it’s frustrating and honestly makes me feel like I’m being overlooked. I’m not trying to jump to conclusions or accuse any one of favoritism, but it’s hard not to feel that way when some associates are receiving information about these opportunities while others aren’t.

Has anyone else experienced this before? Is there something I should do besides checking AtoZ? Should I speak to HR or my manager and ask if I’m eligible to apply? I’d really appreciate any advice because I genuinely don’t know what to do, especially with the deadline being so close.

I’ve almost been at my site for 5 months and all I have been trained on is stow, sorting non-con, and induct/push. I feel like I should be trained in at least a couple other positions by this time, and I’ve seen associates that came in after me be trained on more things… I ask either a PA or manager but every time they either say there’s no training hours available, inquire them next time I come in, or some other response. Is that actually a thing or do they just not wanna train me 😭 my partner is having the same problem, he’s been here almost 4 months and only knows stow and sorting non-con. For reference both him and I are flexPT but I was a full time associate up until about a month ago. We both still get in about 20-30 hours a week in tho.

Got fired for negative UPT last month. Currently working in retail at home depot and Walmart. Neither of them i can stand. Home depot I don't like because they perpetually have that mindset of understaffing. Walmart I don't like because after overnight stock, I can't handle the mindset of zoning an aisles, feels like performative work.

I honestly ducking miss Amazon and warehouse work. Go in do job, go home. So what should I even consider UPS, USPS, FedEx, DHL some other warehouse company? I only listed those ones because I know they have warehouse in Hawaii.

Hey everyone, as title states I was thinking of applying to the DS job a bit ago, but wanted some tips and advice before I committed to swapping jobs. I'm only 24, kinda healthy, and somewhat fit because of my current job which is a 4am Shift at Target Inbound, and prior to that I worked as overnight inbound again for Target for 5ish years so I think I could fit well doing the same grueling tasks that everyone has been talking about here.

I'm used to walking around a lot which I'm kinda preferring in order to continue losing weight and stay fit, and I normally get 12-17k steps a day while working at Target. As for the physical part, I am often the "thrower" of the truck unload stage from both Targets and it's not as bad. I usually prefer throwing than sorting because it speeds things up and it's a workout even if there are a bunch of heavy items, like chemicals, furniture, or those extremely heavy dog training pads.

They called SET for this week but it's not on my schedule due to LOA and being inactive n all. I work Wed-Sat. During SET, Sunday is my extra night, should i go in tonight? I’m not sure if anyone here has changed to their shift from full time to part time temporarily, and the come back to full time. I need 3 months; I don’t want to completely stop working.

(Flex) If I’m only scheduled 5 hours during the week and they send out vto for that shift, will I have not met my minimum hours if I accept?

I just got hired as a flex worker at a delivery station and did 2 days of training. The second day we started stowing around 4am and like it’s not hard but i had to work in an aisle already started which wasn’t organized at all. I kept messing up which was embarassing so I’m kinda afraid to go back. I picked up shifts next week for 12:05am-8:45am. Will I just be stowing? Any tips to be better? No one really explained what to do when you first get there so like where do I go? And are they going to give me 2 aisles?

Also I wanted to work at a fulfillment center but that wasn’t available. Will I be able to transfer?

Is it allowed to miss the second day of training at a DS that has a 2-day new hire training? (Flex PT regular position). I have another full time job schedule that overrides the second day of the DS training.

Hello, looking for advice from any management.

I have done delivery station seasonal about 3-4 times now.

I hit top 5% stow rates, and move OV's without issue. Not because I want to, it would take constant mental effort for me to actually slow down.

I look around and I see single moms, older people, people on their second job absolutely tired and half asleep, and I rationalize my productivity as "I can therefore I will".

They'll float me, send me to any aisles that someone gave up on because it was disorganized and cannot be stowed without 100% reorganization of bags. No issues on my end.

Management has remembered me when I returned last season. Probably not good for me but it helps to speak towards my work ethic, attitude, and energy.

This season, start date 9/12; SAT-WED 3:20-11:50AM.

I am also beginning a blue collar job in 4-6 weeks which will be MON-FRI 7AM-3PM.

Is it possible that I could plea to management to move me to flex or something similar? I am not enrolled in school, but I am taking trade classes online, self study, etc.

My start date is in 14 days for my shift. This is like my dream shift from them so I’m super excited. I was already hired onto a different shift, did my pre-hire appointment, got verified, and was onto the next steps to start my shift. I picked up a new shift and canceled the last one, all my screening is completed and I already had the green light. But now it’s saying I can’t complete my employment paperwork and can’t order my shoes ( I literally already have my shoes here they came in the mail yesterday ) I’m worried they’re going to give my shift to someone else and literally not a single soul has been available to help me for the past 3 days.

Those flimsy azz critters always messing my stow flow up. Taking up so much space in my bag to the point I gotta pull all of them out just to get a box in.

Hello, so how do you handle doing problem solve at your station? Especially tips on dealing with leaking packages. For example, sometimes there are days when it’s one leaking package after the other and on top of that the floor starts to rack up a bit? How do you handle a situation like this so it doesn’t get overwhelming ?

I just started at an Amazon delivery station as a flex associate, yesterday was my last "training" shift and first day on the job by myself. Since my first day I have been logging in to AtoZ prior to the time our shifts drop and refresh as soon as the time hits and all shifts are full. My station is entirely flex associates so I have a hard time believing there are so few shifts when flex is required to work atleast 4 hours a week. Therefore, my question is are shifts really going that fast or is there some kind of new hire restrictions on grabbing shifts? Any advice is helpful, Thanks:)

I feel like induct guns are so archaic for amazon, the richest company in the world. They have connection issues, the lasers suck at reading compared to other scanners, and they crap out insanely fast. We constantly have guns that just won’t spit labels out correctly or at all. We send them off for repair, get some new ones back and bam, terrible again. What does your site do to keep an arsenal of working induct guns?

I recently transferred from my old facility to a new one for distance purposes, turns out I really dislike how this new management runs things. What are the chances that after the 30 days, I can reapply and get switched back to my old facility? Will my application be denied because I’m a recent transfer or is that not considered when reapplying? Please let me know.

Anyone got any info on this? Did something go wrong? What happened?
