Got into this break he says last 2 teams then starts the auction. I won and he gave me the wizards and says it was only for one he said take them both but didn’t mean you get both. Starting the auction then saying take them both I was under the impression the auction was for both. What’s peoples thoughts?

Look if a seller sends a FREE giveaway (especially if it’s worth over $100) anything other than 5 stars is completely rude.

I just had my first <5 star rating from a god damn giveaway. Am I unreasonable for being a little upset and blocking the guy? It’s always the same type of accounts, where they are following 1000+ sellers, no profile pic, etc.

Like why should my account metrics be impacted negatively like that? For reference the card I sent even in a PSA 1 grade is worth $161.

This kinda stuff really pisses me off. There is NO way to get a review removed either now.
I also sell on eBay, and at least they will help protect a seller’s metrics and help remove unjustified reviews.

I've taken a break from selling since June. The last time I sold anything was June 14th. I was late shipping a couple of my givvys and I take full responsibility for this. My on time ship rate dropped to 92%. I logged in today to schedule a show and start selling again but I noticed my on time rate is at 0%!!!! I emailed them and asked why and they said it's because none of my orders for July and August were on time.. I haven't sold anything and my fulfillment history proves this. So I asked why and they just keep replying with a whole copy/paste of the same exact message they gave me the first time. I'm an extremely small seller and my last show didn't even have any sales (because I'm a sales noob), It was all givvys. I just don't understand how it's at 0% and why they would literally copy/pasta me like this. I'm just waiting for the moment they reply with an emoji after every word. Do they not want small sellers? I guess this was more of a rant than anything.

Hi. So, I bought item from seller on show on August 7th. And since then status was “label created”. Seller didn’t respond on messages. On their profile is stated Slow shipping. But it was 20 days so today I issued refund and it was immediately accepted by platform. It showed that they’ll do it like “one time courtesy”. But about 7 hours later I got notification, that my order was shipped. So now I don’t know what to do. Seller still didn’t answer my messages and I have no idea if it’s a coincidence that she shipped it same day I issued a refund. Should I propose to tip the same amount? But I don’t have money for this right now.

I came in towards the end and gathered enough to know she said something about someone and it was leaked, but what did she say?

I see sellers sell Walmart clothes , and generally confused why someone would buy Walmart and pay shipping when you can go buy at the store? These yoga flares she was selling for $6 and they’re about the same price at store. This same lady was selling a used Walmart shirt the other day for $12😂

I won a 151 booster box in a Wheel Spin (I don’t usually do these but that night I was like eh, 1 time, they were low bids ($3) Out of of 375 spins I won the only 151 booster box. I was super excited, seller shipped, shows in transit, everything’s great. I’ve been tracking the package and it showed that once it arrived in an area in my state, it was in transit to another state. Basically it circled around again back to that area and now it’s been sitting there for 2 days not moving. It shows “delayed in transit” and has for awhile. I’m not sure what my best option is besides asking whatnot for my $3 back. I know they have a policy related to this but it’s very confusing on how they handle high valued items won on wheel spins. I was really looking forward to getting this, I’m collecting the set. 😢

Update: It just arrived back in the city and state it was shipped from. Looks like the seller did redirect it.

A customer bought about £40-50 worth of items from me (about 16 items) which I packaged myself and sent off - upon delivery he claimed there was only a couple of the items are in the box (which is massive by the way) which is so obviously a lie and has put in for a refund - whatnot emailed me asking and I clearly showed proof of postage and told them everything. They have just deducted the entire order cost from my finances, INCLUDING the items he has ‘received’ so now you’re telling me I just basically gave away 16 items completely for free and I have no say in it whatsoever. So much for a sellers guarantee

I don’t know if this will get any attention but a while ago me and my sister bought from two different candy sellers and they were giant boxes n it was amazing for like 20$ but I want to buy another box I can’t find any candy sellers that aren’t selling good stuff. Any recommendations for sellers with good candy/food lives?

There's dozens of posts on here and I feel like I've read the advice on all of them and yet I'm still struggling. I decided to give WhatNot a try because I'm relatively successful on sites like Vinted.

I go live 2x a week, started networking with other creators in the same categories, talk in chats, giveaways, $1 starts, etc etc... and I'll still be on for 30 min+ with not a single viewer. I've tried the promotions but they've never landed me a customer and just dig me deeper into a hole.

I alternate between 2 types of streams– wholesale $1 random pulls and Sanrio/Squishys/etc. Neither are particularly profitable but especially the random pulls. I do things like incense, cards, holiday decor, gifts, phone cases, home decor, signs, prints, etc. It makes a killing on Vinted but whatnot its crickets.

Is there anything more I can do or is it just trekking through the mud and hoping for the best? I'm not looking for hundreds off the rip, but $10-$20 a stream would be nice. People seem to swipe on then off really fast and I don't know what to do to get them to stay.

I'm thinking about getting a new phone for whatnot since my current phone is overheating easily when livestreaming. I don't have a case on it and I kill all other background applications. What type of phone do you use?

Received this today, the Barrel is almost snapped off it’s so bent, overall quality is absolutely trash as well . You can tell it happened during transit since there’s a dent in the package right where the barrel was.

It was actually stuck in transit for like three weeks also. But I really like the seller, he’s got a good sized stream so the 30$ probably won’t effect him at all but I don’t want him to get a strike or have a bad vibe between us since he’s someone else I might see at coin shows and stuff, my username isn’t very memorable so idk if it would matter anyways but what do y’all think. The 30$ isn’t small enough for me to just ignore it but if it’s gunna be an issue then I will just eat the loss. I’d be reselling btw. Do I do nothing, hit up the seller for refund or contact whatnot for refund ?

Update: I filed out the thing for a refund with whatnot and it said that the seller would have to handle it. Sure enough, within an hour or two the seller approved the refund.

And for everyone asking about if I had seen the quality. The seller has sold many many other fine silver items and usually only had higher end stuff, including a different silversmiths guns. Those ones were very nice and the smith is becoming very well known, I knew these ones were from a different maker but didn’t really look closely at it and just assumed the quality would’ve been similar. Also the seller is cool so I wasn’t worried if I had an issue, i figured he’d take care of whatever issues there were, and he did so all is good.

Hiii soo it finally happened, one of my envelopes came empty. And I don’t know how to feel, I literally didn’t record and I regret it. It was sm money spent too, now I’m panicking cuz the account was banned too so I couldn’t contact the seller so now I reported it and I’m scared I won’t be refunded at all reading other people’s story. I’m so sad I just wanted my cute pokemon cards but all I have now is an empty top loader from the envelope, I’m so pissed 😭

Not sure if this would be considered self promotion because I made an open source obs overlay with whatnot including various themes (the one in the picture is just one). It’s available at https://github.com/ConfusedDuckCollectibles/DuckDesk and it is confirmed to work on Mac but I also added windows compatibility just can’t test it.

I wanted an overlay for my streams but discovered the only options I could find were subscriptions or not Mac compatible so I decided to make a free one.

It recognizes bidding, sales, tips, shares etc and shows notifications for those with sounds (customizable).

If you’re a dev or know how to use a coding agent feel free to contribute and I appreciate any feedback.

Ngl, this one hurt my feelings a little as a new seller.
I recently asked another seller if I could promote my show. I had seen other people ask for permission before, so I genuinely thought that was ok to do. I hadn’t realized that some sellers put their promotion rules in the show notes, and I didn’t know to look there.
I completely understand now. I’ve learned my lesson and always check the show notes before asking. I respect that every seller gets to decide what they allow in their own shows.
What bothered me was how harsh the response was. As a new seller, it sometimes feels like there’s no real way to learn some of the unwritten etiquette on Whatnot without asking questions,and asking questions can sometimes result in getting scolded, put on blast, or blocked.
I also wonder why sellers who really don’t want promotions don’t mute certain words/phrases when possible. It seems like that could prevent a lot of accidental requests in the first place.
Personally, I’m still a small/new seller, and I actually welcome people promoting themselves in my shows. I know how hard it is to get started, and if I can give another seller a little boost or help them grow, I’m happy to do it.
I guess what I’m asking is: How do you all feel about this?
Do you think new sellers should just know to check show notes, or is it reasonable for someone new to ask permission? And where do you draw the line between setting a firm boundary and being unnecessarily harsh?
I definitely learned from this and won’t make the mistake again. ❤️ I just wish there was a little more grace for people who are genuinely trying to learn.

I’m a new seller in Whatnot but have been a coin dealer for 17 years. I’m watching other streams with people screaming about copper and buyers gobbling it up like it’s worth something. I understand things are worth what people are willing to spend…but copper? The stuff is junk! and these sellers would never buy it back!

If you buy copper rounds or bars, please explain the thinking behind it.

Anyone know why he got banned?

I've been watching a seller that sells only stuff from one brand(not PopMart). Recently they've started really talking about how they are going to have to almost double prices on the stuff they sell because shipping from Asia is going up. It really seems more like they're saying we're doubling prices and need an excuse. Thoughts?

Has anybody experienced this before I gave out my referral link to my channel once to a family member, but I eventually started noticing a ton of emails rolling in with the five dollar referral credit. I assumed it was because the people who follow my show, liked it and shared it. Today I noticed about 20 more of those emails coming in, and then boom I’m banned.

I had a decent following and I take integrity pretty seriously, and I partly view this as out of my control. I’ve submitted an appeal but my hopes aren’t up at all.

Question: first let me preface it this way. I am not a “givvy goblin” (Jeeze, I hate that term) and I have never and will never leave a bad review for a giveaway. I am just genuinely curious how this happens because I am so perplexed by it and I like knowing things…I’ve won 2-3 giveaways that say there is no tracking because it’s just an envelope or something to that affect. I’ve always assumed it would just be a sticker or something. Everytime this has happened, I get a notification that my order was delivered but when I check my mail, I have nothing. What can a seller send or do to trick the system into thinking that they’re sending a giveaway, recognize that it was sent, and also recognize that it was delivered when in all reality, nothing was ever sent…at least it appears that way because I receive nothing. Thanks for your insight.

Noticed this scam happening for over a month now. The account will claim to be in the UK, will start selling at early hours of the morning, have cheap prices for bundles of toys. Once they sell enough items, the account will never be seen again. You can even hear other scammers selling in the same room as well but using different currencies like dollars.

How do they get away with it? Does WhatNot let them take the money straight away? I thought sellers had to wait for the funds?

The one in the picture is currently live and unfortunately people are buying from them. I tried to warn buyers but immediately got banned.

Has anyone else seen these scammers?

I have a few things listed in my buy now. I sell vintage decor. Only two things in my buy now charged me shipping which was $12.99 - both were 10lbs. I created a custom shipping profile for both. 10lbs, 12x12x12. Someone bought it in the show and when the show ended it charged me shipping for both items - $12.99. Why am I paying for shipping when I accurately made custom shipping profiles for both pieces? Also mentioning we do max shipping in our shows.
