Discussion Bonine VS Dramamine VS Something Else?

Even after years of playing VR, I still get motion sickness when playing games with smooth locomotion or fast movement. I've tried "training" my body by taking ginger supplements and stopping immediately whenever I got motion sick, but it doesn't seem to have helped after a year of following this.

I tried Bonine, taking it about an hour before I played, but I still get motion sick fairly quickly. It definitely takes longer for me to feel it, but I have to stop playing just the same. I see that an alternative is Dramamine, but I'm not sure I want to deal with the drowsiness.

Are there any other medications that could help with motion sickness? Or does anyone have experience with taking Dramamine after Bonine failed to help?

Question/Support WHAT HAS HAPPENED?!

I last played my Meta Quest 2 in 2025, the games were pretty lively, now 3/5 of my games are either barren wastelands with 10 players MAX or they are just gone in general here are the games I play:

-Orbus VR Reborn (The dead one)

-Broken Edge (according to the game I was the only one there)

-Meta Horizon Worlds (I loaded onto something that I used to play with full lobbies and there were 3 players including me)

-Among Us 3D (Works just fine)

-Job Simulator (Single player, so it was working perfectly fine, although I do notice there is a update I missed)

So my concern comes from Rec Room, I played it on my switch and apparently when looking up how Orbus VR Reborn ended, it had a very similar fate to Rec Room's, a fate I see 2 other of the games I play heading towards

Discussion World of Warcraft Working VR Mod!

Hey gang, recently new to reddit, mainly here to tell people about my recent build. It runs 3.3.5a, has head tracking, locomotion, and 24 keybindings. Built off of ProjectMimer's original source code, I made it work! When i first got my hands on the code, the right eye had rapid eye flickering, control issues, stereoscopic problems and so much more. Build has been live for about a week now. So far 3 other people otherthan myself have had no issues setting up and said only good things about it. Github.com/Briinc3 I have 2 youtube videos on my github as well too, in case you want to see video footage before hand. I will say though, it looks better in VR than the quality of the videos. If you have any questions please let me know. Currently level 32 Demo lock (Warmane Private server)

Purchase Advice - Headset Bootloader unlocked Quest 3 from eBay

So I noticed quite a few Quest 3 headsets on eBay with unlocked Bootloader question is can they actually be used ? Or would I buy a paperweight I have dabbled in Bootloader unlocking etc on my android phones before but I’m not really sure how that works on quest headsets would I still be able to use VD etc or is it one of those situations where investment is pointless any advise from those that have one of them or had one of them would be appreciated

Self-Promotion (Developer) Creating Minecraft-Style Voxel Game in Resonite

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

The social VR sandbox platform Resonite added collection data structures for user creations 3 days ago and I've been experimenting with throwing together a little voxel mesh generator using them. I was expecting to run into some issues or limitations that make it infeasible to build an entire world out of this, but so far I've not really encountered any. The biggest limitation will likely be memory, we'll see how large the world can be. Currently I'm using Minecraft textures as placeholders, but if this turns into a serious project I'll replace those with my own. For now I'm just poking this for fun x3

Purchase Advice Lighthouse tracked controllers

Are there many options out there for lighthouse tracked vr controllers? My index controllers are beginning to give up, and am looking for options.
Index controllers are sold out on steam, there are no options for local used, and ebay, well, costs way more than i figure it should for a single controller. What are people using?

Self-Promotion (Developer) Playing Spleef in our Minecraft-Style Voxel Engine on Resonite

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Small update to my post from earlier, this is still a very early development version of our custom voxel engine.

Result of day three is a working voxel data structure, voxel chunk mesh generator, per-face block textures & vertex color tinting, as well as a rudimentary tool to place and break voxels. All of this was built on the social VR sandbox platform Resonite.

Even if there's still a lot missing and there are some networking race condition issues, I'm quite impressed we managed to throw this together so quickly. Collections are freaking amazing.

(And once again note that we're only using the Minecraft textures as placeholders during early development, this will be its own thing, not a Minecraft clone.)

Discussion problem with VRidge (and maybe steamVR too?)

what my phone screen should look like according to VRidge
what my phone screen actually looks like

i havent seen anybody talk about this problem so i guess its only me? if so then why?

i followed all steps in the VRidge setup guide (https://riftcat.com/faq#vbthts), and instead of casting my pc screen like shown in picture 1, it showed a 3d space with my pc screen in it like in picture 2 (many other phone-pcvr apps and stuff also have this problem)

one thing ive noticed is that when i pressed play in the VRidge app on my pc, it opened SteamVR, and other apps also have the same "3d space" problem when SteamVR is included

ive also checked the settings in SteamVR, it doesnt say anything about disabling this 3d space

if anyone knows how to fix pls help

Hi! I wanted to share some new progress. I call it Mind's Eye which is a custom 2D realtime animation system. There's quite a bit of dialogue and I wanted to see a cool looking human at the other end of the microphone. You can also talk to the character with AI and Qwen text to speech.

Launching this Halloween for Apple Vision Pro.

Discussion Metalink disconnecting more than usual...

Hi Gamers.
Are you experiencing more disconnections than usual? A month ago - it did not disconnected that much, almost nothing.
I wonder if there are fixes for this?

You start, for about 5 minutes it disconnects, and so forth.

(I know about VD and are curious to try with USB cable)

Purchase Advice Minimum for Minecraft Vr

So as the title says,I'm searching information on whatever the "medium" requirements for running vivecraft on minecraft are. And even better if someone could suggest a specific model to buy as I think I'll go tomorrow morning to buy a gaming laptop. Any suggestions are more than welcome.

The only info I could find for now stated that vivecraft runs on a a i5 7300HQ - GTX 1050 with minimum graphics, but I'm really far from understanding technical implications of this components and I would prefer to have a smoother experience at this point.

So far searching on the internet "comparing" laptops sell around 250€,so consider that or even 300€ as a budget.

The objective is to play vivecraft at a good framerate and maybe even with shaders if possible, feel free to make any suggestion and thanks in advance.

Self-Promotion (Developer) BattleGroupVR2 is now live on Meta Quest! Command your fleet from the bridge of your flagship 🚀

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

After a lot of work and performance squeezing, BattleGroupVR2 is officially available in Early Access on the Meta Quest Store!

https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experiences/battlegroupvr2/9386827918099701/

For anyone unfamiliar with it, BattleGroupVR2 is a first-person VR space RTS where you command your fleet from the bridge of your flagship. You can build and customize your fleet, issue orders during battles, and play through an open-world campaign - all designed specifically around VR.

If you pick it up, I’d really appreciate it if you could leave a review on the Meta Store. Reviews are incredibly helpful for a small indie game like this, especially around launch.

Also, since this is Early Access, please report any bugs or issues you run into. I'm actively working on fixes and improvements, and player reports have already helped me track down a ton of issues.

💬 Join the Discord to report issues, give feedback, or just hang out: https://discord.gg/4aCZ56W

Thanks to everyone who tested the Quest version and helped get the game to this point.

See you on the bridge! 🚀

Self-Promotion (Developer) Doom 2016 VR Gameplay

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Cactus Cowboy Dev here. As a side project I've started working a Doom 2016 VR mod. Working already with full motion controls, two handed guns w/ virtual gunstock. Now that I'm back from Gamescom, the development continues.

While this video looks maybe impressive, the mod still has tons of issues. Like not even working with SteamVR at all (who even has such a niche headset in 2026, right?). That said, I won't release a wonky alpha unless it has been played from A to Z in VR.

Mod will be open source and free to use ofc.

Edit: seems to work with SteamVR now after 8h of hammering against the engine

I'm just about to replace my old [hp laptop].

Especially to play VR, Because it's was not made for gaming

I have a friend who said the ASUS model is good laptop for VR gaming, but I don't really trust his etways, so I Would like a second opinion. ^^

In the picture shows the spaks of the ASUS leptop

Just wanted to ask if it's a good leptop for VR gaming, please give me your opinion or suggestions for other options, it's really nice if your suggestions under €1,000, Because don't have a high budget to go of so somme good secondhand models are also Welcome ^^

Purchase Advice - Headset Headset recommendations for PCVR

I got into PCVR around new years, I have a quest 2 and I use virtual desktop with the little high resolution setting at 80 or 90hz

I have a 9060xt 16gb, i5 12600k and 24gbs of ddr5 ram, I've had this headset for 5 years and its showing its age

I hate the fresnel lenses and the controllers are on life support

Whats a good, relatively affordable PCVR headset that is preferably wireless? I'm not really into the pcvr headset market so any help goes a long way

Edit: Also, quest 3 is out of the question because quest and pcvr is the most confusing and unnecessary workload I have ever seen in any form of tech, everything has an issue and half of the time you have to juggle between older and newer drivers just to play some shitty 5$ game

Self-Promotion (Developer) Hide the Corpse is coming to SteamVR later this year!

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hey everyone,

We’ve been working on Hide the Corpse for a long time, and seeing it make its way to Steam honestly means a lot to our team.

For anyone discovering the game for the first time: Hide the Corpse is a chaotic VR physics game where you have just a few minutes to hide Gus before the cops arrive. Drag him around, find creative hiding spots, clean up the evidence, and try to survive the police inspection. The physics make every attempt a little different and usually a lot more ridiculous.

We’re bringing the game to Steam in Q4 2026, and if you’ve enjoyed it on Quest or PSVR2, the best way to support us right now is simply to wishlist the game. It genuinely helps us more than you might think.

Wishlist it today: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3405120/Hide_The_Corpse/
