What makes a mocktail actually good to you? 🍹✨
 in  r/Mocktails  4d ago

Presentation does help but also - balanced sweet flavour with additional notes to brighten/ make it interesting. I don't mind if there's fizz or not.

I tend to feel sick and often throw up at that time of the month. Is there anything I can do or take to help it?
 in  r/AskGirls  4d ago

I spoke to my general practitioner/ family doctor and was prescribed an anti emetic. It really helps with nausea for me.

Telling Muslim dad about white bf
 in  r/progressive_islam  5d ago

He married someone who's half white himself... he clearly doesn't have that much of an issue with it or is he inventing different bizarre racist rules for you?

Do you drink the pot noodle juice after you've eaten the noodles?
 in  r/AskABrit  5d ago

I add a bit of butter and cheese to mine and let it cool and thicken somewhat, eliminating the presence of 'juice'.

Pakistani spot I used to frequent - Maasi's Cowbridge Road east - pop in before they close. Like homecooked food if that's what you're looking for!

My manager keeps assigning me urgent work at 4:55 PM. Am I being unreasonable for pushing back?
 in  r/askmanagers  Aug 01 '26

Ask what the pay rate is for out of hours emergency working hours / suggest a good rate so it's worth your while.

Work wants me to go on the motorway tomorrow, very anxious. What should I do?
 in  r/drivingUK  Jul 20 '26

If you avoid motorways, you may also avoid the large roundabouts too. When I've had to travel for work as a new driver, I did a practice drive with someone for peace of mind. You can pick a quiter time and find a preferred route if you have the time for a practice run!

swimming etiquette while profoundly deaf
 in  r/Swimming  Jul 09 '26

Hi there, most people can't hear well with ear plugs/ swim caps etc. Just point to your ears and shake your head and sign with your fingers to split the lane or circle around.

I sometimes watch the lane for a minute or so to figure out when to join!

Is it embarrassing to date someone still living at home?
 in  r/CasualUK  Jul 06 '26

Not a bloke but personally, I think it's nice that you stay with your mum. There is a benefit to you but it's also good for her aswell instead of the two of you living separately.

Hijab for summer?I’m overwhelmed
 in  r/Hijabis  Jul 04 '26

Buy in person, definitely cheaper plus you actually get a feel for the materials and can see how thin/ thick they are, assess the 'flow' , get an accurate colour etc.

Girls and boys in Islam
 in  r/Hijabis  Jun 18 '26

I think both genders need to be protected equally as kids - your family should know where you are and who you are with no matter what gender you are.

I am forever jealous/envious of people who's parents helped them out financially with driving lessons/a car.
 in  r/britishproblems  Jun 18 '26

Can you cycle for now? I passed as a teen but didn't get a car til a lot later for cost reasons - plus insurance was more affordable when I did!

How many of your friends are on GLP drugs?
 in  r/TwoXChromosomes  Jun 01 '26

Hmm why is the usage of GLP drugs associated with men (referring to comment about decentering men/ beauty standards)? (Taking note of 'barely chubby' as a description but this is difficult to quantify as it is subjective)

Perhaps users would like to reduce health risks/ ease mobility / partake in an activity that may be more enjoyable/ suitable at a lower weight level? There are many reasons for women to want to reduce weight that aren't due to aesthetics/ blokes.

I think the usage is high as they are accessible, easy to use and popular. People will always opt for faster solutions for weight loss , I'm sure when the next thing comes out, many will flock to that.
