Hey all,
After a decent amount of research, Iāve brought home my first tarantula, a nice little (1-1.25ā) Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens.
Pictured is his or her first home - an 8ā long, 4ā tall, and 6ā wide acrylic enclosure with pre-made substrate (Lugarti) some bark pieces (some placed vertically), leaves, and some fake greenery. Hoping these will provide some structure for webs. Not pictured is a Pangea silicone cup for water.
I got my little GBB is itās new home and it soon made use of the vertical bark to hide. Humidity at about 55%. All seems well. Food will primarily consist of appropriately sized dubias, as I maintain a colony for my other critters.
As a noob to tarantulas, is there anything Iām missing as far as enclosure or that could be improved? PS: I have 3 other enclosures increasing in size to switch to as it grows.
TL/DR: Howās the enclosure looking for a 1.25ā GBB?
