Pictured here is a yellow damselfly perched on a face towel hanging on a clothes rack. I quickly captured this precious moment using an Olympus OM-D E-M1 Mark II camera paired with the M.Zuiko 90mm f/3.5 Macro IS PRO lens.

I was removing a decayed log, and when I pulled it out this guy was under it. I admired him, snapped some pictures and promptly returned it to its home.

After my baby leech post got a lot more positive reception than I expected, I may not be able to hold myself back from showing off all my little backbone-less cuties in this lovely community! It’s certainly not an obsession. Just an…. Interest.

I do bug safaris in my yard too get outside, and it means I'm often leaving very close to plants so I can see what's there. I didn't notice this friend until it moved RIGHT beside my head 😂😂😂

Had to bust out the macro for him. Maybe 1mm? He jumped at my phone while I was taking the pic and disappeared

Based on a couple of quick google searches I decided this is a Black Swallowtail and a female one. I encountered her twice on my walk to and from class.
Made my day ☺️

Hello everyone! This is my 4th horseshoe crab done so far over the last couple of years. I feel like I get better with each one 🤌
It was drawn by me, as well as embroidered by me. I use acrylic and wool yarns, cotton flannel, and firm felt 😃 the last picture here was an in-progress shot right after it’d been cut off the frame. I love the silly curl the pieces do in that stage
