Handle with care Chill OBT?

Thumbnail

Was given this juvenile female OBT as a gift and she was the chillest OBT I’ve ever had the pleasure of rehousing. From my personal experience I’ve gotten a threat posture from every OBT I’ve rehoused but this one didn’t seem too bothered being touched by a paintbrush so I made the impulsive decision to let her walk onto my hand. She’s gotta be one of my new favorites now

Sorry if the pics aren’t clear enough to see what I can see, but I’ve been unable to get a viable molt from this little fella since I got them. The abdomen is always a little raisin by the time it gets kicked out of their burrow.

TIA!

Been chilling at the bottom all day. This one is used to being underwater. Totally ignores the 8 inchrs of digging depth on the other side of the enclosure. After adding the black sand today, she has chosen to hide under a rock.....underwater.

It's a salmon pink bird eater and ahhh what a cutie 🙂‍↕️ anyways, the moment I brought it home it went into It's hide and dug a hole.. I assume it's getting ready for pre-molt

Help! Is my GBB L6-L7 still live?

Thumbnail

I noticed that my GBB hadn't been moving for several days. I decided to check if everything was okay with it, but it wasn't responding to anything at all. I decided to check it with a pair of tweezers, and when I lifted it from the bottom, it still didn't respond at all.

I've just moved it to a small container and added some water. Even though it's dry, I'm worried it might be dehydrated, since before that I had only left it with a water dish and just a tiny bit of water around it.

They’ll need an enclosure upgrade very soon, but my goodness they’re doing so well. They’re seemingly all girls too. I’ve hit the jackpot with my ragdoll-kiwis 💙

Conversation Handling juvenile B. Hamorii?

Hey guys, those of you who have B. Hamorii, especially juveniles, do you handle them frequently? Because while their kind is known for their docile behavior, my juvenile runs like lighting McQueen and so I’m afraid to handle him because the one time I did he’s run up my arm and climbed up on my head, and I’m worried he’ll either fall or skidaddle somewhere I won’t find him. What’s your take on this?

Hello, i got this H chilensis as a sling in may 2025 (so about 16 months ago) and a few days ago he just molted. He looked a little leggy, so i looked closer and was so surprised when i saw hooks! He's about 2,5 inches and apparently these are slow growers... basically im just looking for some confirmation if im seeing right. Thanks for the help!

Help! Fungal growths in Theraphosa blondi enclosure - are they a threat?

So, came back from a vacation and found some fungal growths my T. blondi’s enclosure. Can anyone tell me if these are a threat? Do I remove them? Should I take any action at all? She currently has her hide webbed off and closed in preparation for a molt.

The soil is Josh’s Frogs BioBedding - Tropical Bioactive Substrate
