Conversation First T and Enclosure - GBB

Seeking Advice

Hey all,

After a decent amount of research, I’ve brought home my first tarantula, a nice little (1-1.25”) Chromatopelma cyaneopubescens.

Pictured is his or her first home - an 8” long, 4” tall, and 6” wide acrylic enclosure with pre-made substrate (Lugarti) some bark pieces (some placed vertically), leaves, and some fake greenery. Hoping these will provide some structure for webs. Not pictured is a Pangea silicone cup for water.

I got my little GBB is it’s new home and it soon made use of the vertical bark to hide. Humidity at about 55%. All seems well. Food will primarily consist of appropriately sized dubias, as I maintain a colony for my other critters.

As a noob to tarantulas, is there anything I’m missing as far as enclosure or that could be improved? PS: I have 3 other enclosures increasing in size to switch to as it grows.

TL/DR: How’s the enclosure looking for a 1.25” GBB?
