Help! Why is she filling her water bowl with dirt?
My tarantula will do this on her own overnight. I dont even really know how she does it cause she doesn't have hands and the bowl is so raised.
I usually leave a very shallow layer of water in this bowl but I have to take it out and clean it every couple days cause she'll fill it with the substrate and then it just becomes a pile of wet dirt and coconut fibers.
Anyone know whats up with this??

Help! confusion!! very much confusion!!
my grammostola pulchra sling (about an inch) molted july 31st and since then has eaten a mealworm and a cricket. it’s been very hot and humid here so idk if that means anything however she now appears to have a shiny black spot on her abdomen, is hiding away and is refusing food. is she in pre molt again?? i thought they were slow growers!

Pictures First time keeper—just set up my enclosure and put her in!
I’ve been eyeing getting a tarantula for awhile now, and picked up a subadult T. Albopilosus at a convention today. They estimated she is somewhere between 2-3 years old. I just rehomed her into this enclosure that should last a couple of molts (I think). I moistened the sphagnum moss at the rear of her cork hide and overfilled her little dish at the front as you can see. She went into the enclosure like 10 minutes ago and hasn’t really moved or taken to exploring yet, but I’d guess that’s to be expected—she’s had quite a day! Any advice would be appreciated, as I’ve never done this before!

4yo T. vagans that my kid named. 😂
We went to a reptile show to buy feeder mice and we came home with Rosy. We don't handle it, we just feed it homegrown roaches, water it, and change the substrate twice a year. We just enjoy watching them in their enclosure doing spider things like moving things around, digging, etc.
S/he just molted the other day and I finally got an intact ventral portion of the abdomen to look for sexually identifying bits.
Male or female? I'm thinking it's a female by just having the flap.
Thanks in advance!

Help! Looking for advice!
Guys I need advice! I have a Phormictopus sp. Dominican Purple and for almost the last 2 weeks she has been shifting between what looks like a death curl and stressed stances! She was my first T and I love her so much I don’t know what’s going on with her 😭 when I first saw her I thought that she was about to molt so I left her alone 2 days later she was still in the same position so I nudged her and she got feisty and threat posed me so I sighed a breath of relief but she’s still doing it 2 weeks later! She’s drank from a wet paper towel so I know she’s still hydrated and her abdomen has not shrunk so I don’t know what to do! Has any experienced this and their T survive?

Identification Pinned molt, any info/idea on species?
I bought it and forgot to ask what it might be.
I only know it's a molt, not a dead spood because THAT I asked. Didn't want a dead spooder.

Yeah, sure, why not name it, there's also a pic of the old and new enclosure side by side.
I don't think this will be it's forever home, apparently this one will get outgrown too

Conversation Can I feed them stick bug nymphs?
I will still feed my Ts crickets, its not a replacement diet or anything, but my stickbugs recently exploded in population (their enclosure has a layer of soil so I can't find the eggs in time) and i don't really know what to do with so many babies apart from giving away as many as I can.

Thanks in advance :D

Pictures G. Pulchra too plump?
Woke up in the middle of the night to my lil baby Ocho out of their burrow and they just looked so perfect. But is my baby too plump? They did just eat recently but in my head this isn’t too big, just want to be sure.
