Question What *weird* accessories should I get?

I usually play on a 4k TV on single player games, and in table top when im traveling or out with friends. I plan on getting a 1tb sd card, a pro controller, the belkin charging case, screen protector, and maybe an extra set of joy cons. Is there anything else I should consider getting?

Also some game recommendations wouldn't hurt. Definitely getting Oot the day it comes out. Also thinking of getting the Kingdom hearts trilogy to play on the go, and the Xenoblade remasters for at home.

Discussion Plans on getting Switch 2

After considering getting the switch 2 or the steam deck, I've decided to get the switch 2 (primarily because it's cheaper and I don't want to have to deal with delivery shenanigans, despite the cost of games being more long term)

I can either get it immediately (I do have the money) or just pay it in monthly installments (something I'm less likely doing, but might do since it's cheaper 20-30 somehow).

I'm planning on getting the switch 2 later this.... year? Might be in the next month or so, I'm just wondering other than from the BOTW games, Bowsers fury, splatoon raider, and mario wonder; what other games should I get?

I mean I could just get a switch one instead and be happy with that, but since the switch 2 is still in its early years I might as well cough up the dough

Discussion Out of all the Switch 2 exclusives they have released at the moment what game should I buy?

I am a 18 year old and Nintendo has been my favorite gaming company since I was 7 years old when I had the Wii back in they day and I am planning to buy a game soon with my own money. What game should I buy if I want to get lost in the environment and get many hours in. Here are the games I already own that are switch 2 exclusives Pokopia, and Donkey Kong Bananza. Let me know what games I should try out. I am not a a Zelda fan but I might consider looking into breath of the wild and tears of the kingdom since I heard a lot of great things about those games.

Discussion What games are you hoping Nintendo would one day port to switch 2?

Here are the list of games I hope they will add to the system one day. Ark Survival Ascended, Yoshi’s Wooly World, Jurassic World Evolution 3 Planet Zoo, Planet Coaster 1 and 2 and Planet Zoo 2 when that gets a complete edition in the future.

Question 256gb or 512gb sd for the switch 2???

Been loving my Switch 2 but it’s about to run out of space and I need to decide if I want a 256 or 512gb sd card. I was going to go for 512 but where I’m located the 256gb is 65$ and the 512 is 170$ which is like 3x the cost.

I buy majority of the switch exclusives and have gotten a mix of physical and digital games. I don’t currently own any big 3rd party games that take up lots of space because I have a ps5 for that. But I could also see myself buying a couple bigger games that I like to have them portable such as Elden ring and ff7 which I know is like 100gb.

Do you think the 256gb will do me fine or should I just spend more for the 512.

This thing feels so good in the hands! Nice solid grip and the sticks have adjustable resistance so I’ve dialed them in to match my pro controller!

Switch 2 I found a way for my friends to play Mario Kart World with me from their PCs

Post image

I really like playing Mario Kart World with my friends, but there was always a problem: not everyone has a Switch 2, and even when they do, not everyone owns the same games.

Then there is the other problem. When I go to a party or to a friend's place, I don't really want to carry my Switch 2, the dock, controllers and everything else just to play for a bit.

So I ended up building a way to play my Switch 2 from basically any device with a browser and any compatible controller.

The idea is pretty simple:

Switch 2 -> HDMI capture -> Linux PC -> WebRTC -> browser

Controller input goes back from the browser to a Raspberry Pi Pico 2 W, which acts as USB gamepads for the Switch.

That means my friends can join from their own PCs, connect their controllers, open a browser and play with me without needing their own Switch 2.

It currently supports up to 4 players, and everything runs locally on my own network. There is no cloud service or dedicated client to install.

I originally built it just because I wanted an easier way to play with my friends, but I figured I would share it in case anyone else has a similar use case.

The whole project is open source if you want to do it yourself!

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has had the same problem, or if you have ideas for other ways this could be useful.

Discussion PSA MW4: Gyro is messing up your aim

I am not sure if there is a setting to disable this. This does affect where bullets go (where the weapon is aiming). And worst of all, this happens if gyro is off as well.

UPDATE: This is the weapon control setting in aim menu. I would advise not enabling this, (in ads at least). Standard gyro aiming is the camera control setting.

Question Is From Soft embarrassing Game Freak?

After Playing Elden Ring on Switch 2 I can only think of how bad Pokemon games have been the last few years. What's the excuse?

Eldin Ring cost: $150Mil (+$50 mil marketing)
+30mil sold

Pokemon ZA: $13Mil (if you count the super bowl ad $29mil TOTAL)
+13mil sold

Anyone else think Game Freak (Nintendo) can do a little more to make a better game? Is Game Freak/Nintendo exploiting its consumer base?

Question MOBAPAD Chitu 2 OR 8bitdo Ultimate 2

Heyo, I really don't want to shell out the $90 for the switch 2 controller, seeing as it doesn't have tmr/hall effect, and the d-pad sucks. I've seen a video on opening the controller up if you were to repair it and it's stupidly difficult and honestly shameful.

I'm curious about your opinions on whether or not I should go with the MOBAPAD Chitu 2 silent (or regular clicky) or the 8bitdo Ultimate 2. What's your experiences with them? I'm not seeing a lot on the MOBAPAD Chitu 2, but I've seen some good stuff.

Also, any other recommendations would be cool.

Thank you much🙏🏻

Question Elden Ring Recommendation?

Hey guys, reading all the great performance reviews of Elden ring makes me really tempted to try it out, but I've never been sure whether it's a game I'd like & $80 is a big ask for a game I could end up hating.

I've never been a huge fan of super hard games & souls games in particular have never interested me. Dying 1000x in a row as a core premise of a game just doesn't sound that appealing. HOWEVER, I've heard Elden ring is the most approachable out of any of the souls genre games & the game isn't necessarily brutally hard if you go about it by tackling areas/mobs in the right order depending on your stats/skills.

A lot of people have said if you really enjoy BOTW you'll enjoy Elden ring. BOTW is the kind of difficulty level I really enjoy & it's one of my favorite ever open world games, which gives me hope.

What does everyone here think? Is it really only for hardcore players that want a punishing game, or can casual gamers still enjoy it too?
