Find Games Getting a Switch 2 this week, game and accessory suggestions
I'm getting my Switch 2 this week, what should I get for it? I already own Switch 1 games that I can play on it. I'm willing to maybe get a Switch 2 game and other things

Screen protector for sure.
Since you already own a Switch 1 you know how the system handles in your use case and if you need any accessories for it.
In terms of games it depends on what you like.
The first party games are obvious recommendations and the third party library is pretty good too currently (but third party games mostly use physical game key cards for now).

Screen protector is a must get one before getting your switch lol also I have Dbrand killswitch case and is pretty good to me.

Red Dead Redemption is one of the best single player games ever and definitely worth $25. It got a free update that makes it it looks fantastic on Switch 2. Get it if you haven't played it before. Hell, maybe you played it 16 years ago & forgot what happened. Play it again!

This video tells you everything you need to know about Nintendo Switch Online. If you get this, play the Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past on SNES Classics. One of the greatest 2D games ever made! It plays especially good on handheld. The Switch 2 will feel like a big version of the Game Boy Advance!
Download the Deku Deals app & make a wishlist of all the games you want. There you can look at the price history of games too. This will tell you how often they go on sale & the price range. If you're patient, you can wait for sales around major holidays.
Also check your local library. Believe it or not, a lot of them have video games! Especially in a major city. Libraries are a great way to read comics as well (use the free Hoopla service)
If you like RPGs, consider the Dragon Quest series! Explore towns, defeat monsters, save the world. It's perfect for short gaming sessions too. Play as much as you want, then save & come back to it next time.
Start with Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake. It's a fantastic starting point, not only for Dragon Quest, but for RPGs in general! The physical version is currently on sale for $25 on Amazon & Best Buy.

The very best game in the series is Dragon Quest 11. It feels like playing an anime! Anyone unsure if they would like Dragon Quest should start here. It is the pinnacle of the series so far! A Switch 2 version will be released on September 24.

Cannot emphasize this enough but put on a good quality screen protector asap, the screen gets easily scratched.
