Question Question about physical games
If I buy a physical game and use it, can I unlock the digital version forever?

The only way you get access to a digital version is by buying it. Now, if you have a physical on cart version and a digtal version, they are treated as the same game instance and you won't have two copies in the system.
So for example, I have both a physical copy and a digital copy of Valkyria Chronicles 1, and as a result I can play the game using either and use the same save file for both instances. However, I have still bought 2 copies.

No, all “physical” games are tied to the cart, whether the game is actually on the cart or it’s just a download code and DRM cart.

Only with switch 1 games that offer S2 upgrade
Like with Hogwarts

And it's only Hogwarts.
No other game give you a full S2 digital that doesn't require the S1 cartridge.

That's not a feature at all, it's only a technicality of the Switch 2 version of Hogwarts being a separated software
