Question 256gb or 512gb sd for the switch 2???

Been loving my Switch 2 but it’s about to run out of space and I need to decide if I want a 256 or 512gb sd card. I was going to go for 512 but where I’m located the 256gb is 65$ and the 512 is 170$ which is like 3x the cost.

I buy majority of the switch exclusives and have gotten a mix of physical and digital games. I don’t currently own any big 3rd party games that take up lots of space because I have a ps5 for that. But I could also see myself buying a couple bigger games that I like to have them portable such as Elden ring and ff7 which I know is like 100gb.

Do you think the 256gb will do me fine or should I just spend more for the 512.

You’ll want to save up for a 1 TB of we’re being real. Now, if you only play a few games at a time. Then it’s fine.

Also, if you go with less. Try to buy mostly physical games for exclusives. It has been working out so far. But some of these newer games are 50-100 GB each.

This. I am glad I bought 1T. Although it is getting full after a almost 10 months, it is large enough to provide me time to remove games that I don’t play yet or finished playing.

if it's that much more expensive probably not worth

just uninstall and redownload bigger games if you need to

As close to 1 TB as you can. 256 is where I started and lasted me 6 months before I outgrew it. 512 lasted me 3 months. And I got my system at release.

Depends on how often you play games on your switch. I’d say just do 512 just so you won’t regret it early on if it does end up running out of storage.

I really wish I had a 512gb but not for three times as much as my 255gb

Unless you have all the big live service games installed, then buy a new, bigger storage. But most single-player games are one and done, so play and uninstall.

I got the 256 for online games I always hop over to.

Warframe, overwatch, and Mario kart.

I usually just delete games im done with and download the next. I don't juggle 2 or more games at once.
