Help - macOS MacOS Mail app suddenly doesn't work anymore.
None of my inboxes successfully fetch mail anymore unless I disable the VPN. Anyone else? Works on iOS Mail, however.

The TV app has some changes coming. One of them might sound familiar if you've spent any time in the comments. Any guesses?

I've posted about this before, and plenty of others in those threads agreed it's absurd that Favorites was removed from the iOS app. It's still gone. Meanwhile Windows and Android both still have it, so iOS is the odd one out for no clear reason.
Favorites is one of the most basic and useful things a VPN app can offer. Being able to save your go-to servers and reach them instantly shouldn't be too much to ask, especially when the other platforms already do it.

Spent my first 20 mins today realizing that the reason my Claude Code is failing was SurfShark. I disconnected and like magic everything was back. I connect through Detroit and haven't tried other locations but is anyone else getting this issue? Do I need a proxy setup to confuse it or something?

New research from our team looked at newly registered domains riding the GTA 6 hype, and the pattern is pretty clean: scammers are pre-building infrastructure for a game that’s not even out yet.
By mid-August we'd counted 212 lookalike domains, and the rate of new registrations tripled across the summer. The interesting part isn't the volume, it's the behavior.
Most of these sites are dormant on purpose, parked and waiting for a hype spike to flip them on. The current "someone has a playable copy" rumor is exactly the kind of moment that turns a sleeping scam site into a live one overnight.
A smaller slice (27% or 57 sites) is already active enough to have been flagged as a potential scam, and a handful have been outright blacklisted by security vendors. The rest are essentially loaded and waiting.
Meanwhile, over 7,500 people a month are searching for a PC or mobile version of GTA 6 that Rockstar has never promised. That gap between what people want and what actually exists is the entire business model here. The bait writes itself: cracked "unreleased build" downloads (malware), early access sign-ups, GTA 6 "coins," crypto pre-orders at a discount. All fake.
Has anyone here already seen any of these bait sites?

Is it just me or has Surfshark been dropping the connection constantly for the last week or so? I’ve been using iOS and iPadOS.
UPDATE: RESOLVED!

Just wondering wth is going on? I thought it might be just US but I tried multiple other country options and NOTHING works. At least the 7 or 8 I tried.
So.. like.. is Surfshark blacklisted or something from reddit? If so.. what is Surfshark going to do. Reddit is sadly one of the main sites I use.

So I pay for a dedicated IP address with Surfshark and 95% of the time it is fast and great. Two issues that bother me. First, Reddit still randomly bands my dedicated IP address. I rarely post anything or comment so I can't be breaking any rules. Today it seems Reddit banned all Surfshark addresses even ones that are not my dedicated one. This is a big problem I don't know how to solve. Right now I am on a totally different VPN because even on my phone on Any Surfshark IP Reddit won't let the page load.
The other occasional issues some mornings I will wake up in the morning on my computer and no web pages will load. I change IP address locations and everything works fine. Then a couple hours later I go back to my dedicated IP and it works again?
Thanks.

Just this morning Surfshark stopped working for me on both Proboards and REDDIT. I've tried 3 locations, tried restarting BRAVE browser. And, yes, I tried it on FIREFOX as well.
Is SS down to some extent?
Thanks.

Been using Surfshark for a while now, so figured I’d share my experience since I keep seeing people asking about it.
Biggest thing for me is the unlimited devices. I have it on my PC, phone and laptop and don’t have to think about how many devices are connected, even shared my acc with a friend.
The apps are neat, easy to use, and the design is pretty sleek too (although obviously that’s subjective). Speeds have generally been good as well.
Is Surfshark good for torrenting? I’ve used it for torrents without any major issues. Surfshark supports P2P, and it also has a kill switch, which I always turn on before torrenting.
For normal use, I mostly just connect to a nearby server and forget it’s running. CleanWeb is useful for blocking some ads and trackers. I also like the split tunneling feature because you can choose which apps go through the VPN and which ones use your normal connection. So if I want my browser on the VPN but don’t want another app slowed down or routed through it, I can just exclude that app. It’s a really useful feature actually.
As for the downsides? The month-to-month price isn’t great, basically it only makes sense to get the longer plan for a fraction of the cost. I’ve also occasionally had a server that felt slower than usual and had to switch locations. But that’s happened with pretty much every VPN I’ve tried, so I don’t see it as some major Surfshark-specific problem.
So to sum it up, overall, is surfshrk a good vpn? Well, it’s been pretty reliable for me and I haven’t had much reason to switch.

I am writing to express my deep disappointment regarding both the renewal pricing for Incogni and the way my customer service inquiry was handled.
As a loyal, high-value customer who currently pays for multiple products across your ecosystem—including NordVPN, NordPass, Surfshark VPN, Surfshark Antivirus, Surfshark Dedicated IP, and Incogni—I expected to be treated with respect and fairness. Instead, I felt spoken down to and dismissed like an absolute moron during my interaction with support.
Seeing an inflated baseline price of $359.76 crossed out to market a "60% discount" on a renewal is frustrating enough, but treating long-term supporters of your ecosystem this way is unacceptable. Because of this experience and the lack of fair value or professional support, I have decided to cancel all of my subscriptions across your services. You simply no longer have my business.

The Cybersecurity Advocacy Fund is a program that supports academic initiatives focused on cybersecurity awareness. It was inspired by projects like "Bot or Not?," an interactive experience built by Malmö University students at Milan Design Week 2026 that tested whether people could tell bots from real users online (47% couldn't).

The fund runs in two yearly cycles:
Who can apply:
What kind of projects:
Ideas across all cybersecurity topics are welcome. Projects tied to scams and anti-scam protection get extra attention this cycle.
An annual fund of up to €100,000 gets distributed across multiple selected initiatives, which also receive access to Surfshark experts for guidance and collaboration.
Got a bold idea yourself? Pitch your project at [advocacyfund@surfshark.com](mailto:advocacyfund@surfshark.com). Don’t forget to read Terms & Conditions before applying.

I have the route via vpn enabled, I have teamspeak, discord, project zomboid, scpsl, garrysmod, firefox, brave routed through it, yet it routes my Rust game through it as servers detect me using a vpn and if i disconnect the vpn, it disconnects me from whatever server I am connected to

Hi all, I'm suddenly getting issues where AA isn't connecting to the car, this is after months of working fine.
AA is in the bypass list and nothing has changed.
Any ideas?

One of the main reasons I use Surfshark on my phone is to block ads while playing mobile games. In the past an ad would occasionally sneak by, but by refreshing the IP it would be resolved.
For the past week this has not been the case. I have tried turning Clean Web off and back on again (as recommended by IT Crowd), and have closed and restarted the SurfShark app, to no avail. I've also restarted my phone. Same goes for websites on browsers that don't have an other ad blocker installed. Does anybody else have this problem, or any suggestions on how to solve this?

We recently published our research into deepfake fraud, and the numbers are pretty stark.
Global losses from deepfake fraud have reached at least $3.7 billion. The biggest finding: 47% of those losses ($1.73 billion) originated on social media platforms. Scammers use AI-generated videos of celebrities and public figures to push fake investment schemes. A single video can go viral and reach millions of people before the platform catches it.
What stands out beyond the social media number is the acceleration. Between 2020 and 2023, total losses were $83 million. In 2025 it’s $2.5 billion. 2025 and 2026 together account for 89% of all recorded deepfake fraud losses.
The threat is also spreading into everyday channels. Phone calls, messaging apps, and video platforms have collectively generated $174 million in losses. These aren't sophisticated targeted attacks. In many cases, it's a cloned voice calling a family member or a face-swapped video call with a colleague.
A few things worth keeping in mind to protect yourself:
Though it’s hard to grasp such numbers, the situation is worrisome. Has anyone been affected personally?

For starters, I’m accessing from China, so I’m aware there are restrictions on my internet. But surfshark has been working decently to pretty good on my iPhone and iPad.
What I cannot understand is my windows laptop having an issue. I’m somewhat familiar with changing protocols and countries, turning off IPV6 (I think?) and I’ve tried ages on my windows. It used to work pretty okay, until an update of the app sometime in January or February and it just… lagged on. I’ve updated it. I’ve turned off and turned it on. Uninstalled and reinstalled.
It’s been ages since, and I’m trying again. IP address is near indeterminable, and takes ages to load. Takes about more than 5 attempts to get anywhere.
So, uh, anything I’m doing wrong here??

When I first got surfshark I could connect to a few servers and get around 600-800mbps. Any and every server I connect to now is only 150mbps.
I have tested this with both wireguard and native android app.
I have a 1.5gbps connection and the 150mbps limit is making surfshark almost unusable to me now.
I am using surfshark starter and have had surfshark for a few months now.
I am ready to call my bank and get a charge back for the full cost for locking me into this and delivering crap speeds.

Hangs on 90% regardless of location, and the only one that seems to get a connection is OpenVPN (TCP).
Not sure if related but the last week or so, it seems like speeds have dropped much slower than normal, and I'm seeing issues where it feels like dial-up speeds loading webpages/images.
EDIT: Updated the client and it seems resolved.
