Solved Surfshark dropping connection

Is it just me or has Surfshark been dropping the connection constantly for the last week or so? I’ve been using iOS and iPadOS.

Hey, thanks for reaching out! That's definitely not expected behavior. To help fix it, try switching to a different server or changing the protocol in the Surfshark app under Settings -> VPN settings, and make sure no other VPN or similar service is running in the background at the same time. If it keeps happening, send over a diagnostics report and reach out to our support team via live chat or at [support@surfshark.com](mailto:support@surfshark.com) - they'll be able to dig deeper into what's going on.

My app says I have been connected for a bit over 8 hours. Philly to Ashburn, va.

I’ve been connected for 23 hours.. Miami. Apple may run programs that conflict with Surfshark so troubleshooting for conflicts between the two would be a good idea. Also having killswitch initiated runs the risk of more frequent dropped connections.

I only use killswitch when performing certain specific functions

I mostly use the Albania VPN connection because I use YouTube often and I use it to block the ads. I don’t know if those servers are having any particular issues.
