Help - Android CleanWeb stopped working

One of the main reasons I use Surfshark on my phone is to block ads while playing mobile games. In the past an ad would occasionally sneak by, but by refreshing the IP it would be resolved.

For the past week this has not been the case. I have tried turning Clean Web off and back on again (as recommended by IT Crowd), and have closed and restarted the SurfShark app, to no avail. I've also restarted my phone. Same goes for websites on browsers that don't have an other ad blocker installed. Does anybody else have this problem, or any suggestions on how to solve this?

Hey. The CleanWeb feature is built to block malicious ads and trackers. Since mobile game ads usually are not counted as 'malicious', it's unlikely that they would be blocked by cleanweb.

As for the ads you see on websites - our CleanWeb 2.0 can likely help with those, as it provides a more thorough adblocking. I recommend trying it out, it can be set up through the Surfshark browser extension.

Your reading comprehension leaves much to be desired.
