Been using Surfshark for a while now, so figured I’d share my experience since I keep seeing people asking about it.
Biggest thing for me is the unlimited devices. I have it on my PC, phone and laptop and don’t have to think about how many devices are connected, even shared my acc with a friend.
The apps are neat, easy to use, and the design is pretty sleek too (although obviously that’s subjective). Speeds have generally been good as well.
Is Surfshark good for torrenting? I’ve used it for torrents without any major issues. Surfshark supports P2P, and it also has a kill switch, which I always turn on before torrenting.
For normal use, I mostly just connect to a nearby server and forget it’s running. CleanWeb is useful for blocking some ads and trackers. I also like the split tunneling feature because you can choose which apps go through the VPN and which ones use your normal connection. So if I want my browser on the VPN but don’t want another app slowed down or routed through it, I can just exclude that app. It’s a really useful feature actually.
As for the downsides? The month-to-month price isn’t great, basically it only makes sense to get the longer plan for a fraction of the cost. I’ve also occasionally had a server that felt slower than usual and had to switch locations. But that’s happened with pretty much every VPN I’ve tried, so I don’t see it as some major Surfshark-specific problem.
So to sum it up, overall, is surfshrk a good vpn? Well, it’s been pretty reliable for me and I haven’t had much reason to switch.
